Im 14, and I leave my phone on, but in my locker during school. After school is over and I bring my phone out, it is not off, it just doesnt respond. Pressing the power button doesn't wake it up, and holding it doesnt turn it on or off. I have to take the battery out and put it back in, then restart my phone.
Once my phone is on, i have <20 percent power left.
When It's the weekend, I always have my phone with me and I usually check it every few minutes. (Just pressing the power key to wake it up and see if I have any unread messages). I have my auto sync off, but every like 30 minutes, I check my phone and it turned auto sync on? WHY DOES IT DO THIS?
So my phone is almost not useable. I have 2 batteries... I've tried both, they are not dead, it's the phone that is killing them.
SO... MY QUESTIONS ARE:
1) WHY does my phone become un-able to wake up after hours in my backpack, and why when I take the battery out and put it back in, does my phone have under 20% battery?
2)Why does my phone turn Auto-Sync on every 30 mins or so?
THANKS EVERYONE!!
Hello, my name is Udi. I have recently bought an ASUS Transformer Prime.
Last night I turned it on, it started loading showing the ASUS icon, and then the screen turned black. The device is working (sounds of E-mails, for example), but the screen is blank. Only some backlight is visible. Touch is working.
I am able to turn it off, after pressing the power button for 2 seconds, by guessing the position of the "yes" when it asks me if I want to turn the device off.
I tried reseting using the power button and the volume down button, but it doesn't work.
HELP ANYONE???

Sounds like a bad display cable, take it back and exchange it for a new one.
answer
probably returning it on monday to ASUS support. thank you
I have had some instances recently where upon powering down, it starts off as normal (powering down message) but then the unit stays in a semi-off mode. I notice this because I walk by later and see a faint bluish tint on the screen indicating it's still on, just appears to be sleeping. Hitting the N button does nothing. I need to press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to get it to go completely off.
ideas?
Is WiFi turned off before you power down? I saw this once and WiFi was on when I powered down. It never happens to me with WiFi turned off.
You really should state what ROM you're using whenever you ask a question. I used to have this problem when I was using cm7 when I'd leave the wifi on when turning the screen off.

It's CM7
When I am using Bluetooth on phone calls, the screen will turn on once in a while and stay on for 10 seconds or so... When I use the power button to turn it off, it will go off. But then it will turn back on again in a few seconds.
Anyone having the same problem? And anyway to fix it?
Thanks
Sometimes, when I press power button to turn on my screen, just capacitive buttons turn on, but the screen doesn't. And I do it few times again after it, still nothing, just buttons turn on and off. Only solution is to remove the battery and restart phone that way, which is quite annoying if happens often.. Any solution to this? Thank you.
It happens on my HD2 too. It's related to Wi-Fi - turn it off before pressing power button.

Any other solution? Because turning wifi off every time when I turn off do screen would be a big job- especially if I use phone for chatting and srceen is on-off like every 30 seconds, who would turn wifi on-off so many times...
