hello to all members of XDA ,
from what I have seen lately have come out super- smartphone which S5 , one M8 ... with lots of goodies both hardware and software . going to the point, I do not have the technical knowledge to do this thing, then I ask you, and anyone interested, in to help . I would like to create a useful app for all Android smartphone , allowing you to use both the S5 mode risparmiio energy that makes the screen black and white, grayscale , and together with this ultra power saving mode to one m8 , what opens one app at a time.
Now with regard to the energy saving mode of one m8 , there are some things I would like to emphasize :
- When this mode is active , you can open one app at a time
- If you already have one open , it will automatically close the task manager without having to do everything manually .
this would allow anyone with old Android smartphone to have enough energy , so much as to meet the requirement " means that arrival time at the end of the day no ifs , ands or buts ."
I repeat that my knowledge can not meet this demand , being a complicated app to fill out ( for me). I ask anyone interested to post everything here so as to avoid too many threads . if I posted in the wrong section , I apologize . Thank you all in advance!

As a first time user of Android coming from an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.x I was amazed by the SGS III that I own.
So far, so good.
However I have a huge issue that is really starting to get on my nerve : why the hell I cannot keep my apps running in the background ?
I had friends trying to convince me to go to android, saying how it's rocking, how it's multitasking is awesome ... WHAT MULTITASKING ?
Many of you may know, but iOS finally brought multitasking with iOS 4, something people said that was really lacking to iOS when Android had it for a long time - let me laugh.
Well, let's be honest. Yes there is some sort of multitasking thanks to services that are not killed by the system, but I do not use them, I only need them to perform to do wahtever they are supposed to do.
And also between your recently launched apps as long as you keep switching between them in a very short amount of time.
And that is all.
So iOS 4 brought multitasking on a phone with only 256Mb of RAM (iPhone 4) and with only that much, I managed to keep running three games : Lords & Knights MMO, Wolrd War and iMob. They are not 3D games so they do not use too much RAM as would do a 3D game such as NOVA. And, the cool stuff is that the multitasking on iOS keep the apps as long as there is free RAM (I even managed to go as down as 17Mb, and then the system killed some (not all !) of my apps !)
That was really nice. Before iOS 4, I had to relaunch them each time a notification brought me back to them (they are internet dependant games). And with iOS 4 and then 5 and today 6, I can enjoy switching between them without lag, without relaunching as long there is free RAM.
With android, I CANNOT DO SUCH ACTIONS. Even if ICS is nice, fast on the SGS III, when it comes to multitasking I feel like I have been brought back to iOS3 on my iPhone 3 and 3Gs (thank God, SGS III is fast enough to relaunch the apps in not time, but stil...)
As I said, I launch my game, go back to home screen, lock the phone, unlock it minutes after and the games are gone. ALL OF THEM.
Here is what I found out in order to solve this situation :
- based on the kernel version and model, android will keep killing apps that are not services after a few minutes in the background ;
- my games that I want to keep running do not offer the possibility to keep them alive in the background ;
- I tried many apps (ram manager pro, auto memory etc...) none of them helpt me although they did offer features that would be the answer I as been looking for.
- I heard scripts would solve this situation, but I dot not know any of them.
So what is next ?
It is simple : I would like to have an app, or a tweak or script or anything else, but easy to use, that will help me keeping some of my apps alive in the background.

If it is the rule, I will let go my thread further back in this forum in hope I will get an answer somehow to a matter that has been troubling me for months.
It can not be done as far as I know.
A few hacks/apps try to lower the oom value of apps, but it only last for a limited timeperiod.

Is this some sort of a joke ? Are you saying that even though I have plenty of free RAM I cannot use them to run apps in the background ?
This is ridiculous to say the least. Where is the multi-tasking ?

I know it exists such ROM for others devices, but I'd like to know if such a ROM, without any phone/3G, could be a viable option for the Optimus One. I'm not using this phone but my daughter, a 4 years old, likes it a lot to play some game, watching video, playing with camera..Disabling some unused hardware could improve battery life as well as performance. And, as phones are becoming more and more performant, older devices will be wasted. But if they can be recycled into such devices, I'm sure that kids would love them, and parents wont be affraid about them dialing 911 for fun...
I'm not a developper, But if there is one who is tempted into doing such thing, I'll be gratefull to try it.

Its pretty easy to do it .. all you have to do is root your phone , install titanium backup ... change filter to system/not-backedup .. then remove the following apps from the phone:-
1.dialler.apk ( dial pad+ network manger)
2.dialler storage.apk ( call log)
3.mms.apk ( sms app)
4.messaging.apk ( storage and settings fr sms )
Rebpot ur phone .. and voila .. u will not have any network cause the network module stops working .. battery life extended by more or less an hour on heavy usage
The phone will still be able to connect to wi-fi , access play store and do all other normal stuff
PS1:- Be sure to flash a stable rom on the phone .. if you are aiming for gaming , video and music ... i would recomend G-T-R by neko95 ... its good and has lots of tweaks for gaming and video .. + its super smpoth and snappy
PS2:- Contacts.apk ( contact book app ) is an optional removal .. in my opinin .. dont remove it .. let it be .. feed some emergency and important numbers that ur kid can contact to if she needs help or is in trouble
PS3:- No need to change any hardware .. removing the apps i mentioned earlier will disable the hardware parts easily ..

There are (at least) two versions by two developers, which one is real and which one an imposter!? Aeon Time or Xperiacle Apps? Please post if you know.

You can view my answer in the thread you linked.
Now, as above in red, I suggest you inform yourself what is actually going on before making claims of "abuse" on the forums. If a developer closes his own thread for his own reasons, there is no abuse to cry out about.

I was forced to buy UPSM+ after having bought older buggy UPSM Manager.
This is highly irregular, UPSM Manager should be pulled and people should get UPSM+ instead. Is there some kind of a business model to profit from the confusion? Or else why does the same company now have two seemingly identical products, one buggier and older and the other newer and actually fully working?
How many other people did find out the hard way that they should get UPSM+ and not UPSM Manager?
I did so, I do not give money back to the old version. worth banned user, but rather we get ban...

ı am using euphoria lollipop 5.1.1 for i9500 would this work in it too ?
Upsm+ is not. Compatible with s5.
Upsm is compatible with s5.

I am the owner of a T-Mobile Galaxy S5.
First I bought UPSM, then they stopped development then I bought UPSM+ which *does* work on my Galaxy S5.
I feel I was tricked into buying the same program twice.
I lost all apps from UPSM , disabling custom list in UPSM+ does not bring it back . Any suggestions how to bring back the old list or renable the UPSM+ functionality on note 4?
Lost? So when you start the app in normal non power saving phone mode, you don't see any apps you can CHECK to show up when you later go into the power saving mode?
Or do you only have a problem *after* you enter the power saving mode?
so this app no longer works on my 4.4 kitkat s5 G900A. It used to work but not anymore. The new UPSM+ seems to give bootloops to people. Anyone else on UPSM+ with 4.4 g900a running into bootloops?

It just says there are "No apps " when i touch the + button to add apps . I have emailed xperiacle at gmail , waiting for his reply.
If you are doing this inside the power saving mode, there are no apps because you have to add them *outside* of power saving mode, in other words, in normal phone mode, you have to go to your drawer and CHECK the apps you want to be able to add when you touch the + button to add apps in power saving mode.
If I misunderstood and you didn't mean that, than yes you have a problem that is unique to your system...

i'm having the same issue.
since saving the modified apps within UPSM App, there is no apps available in UPSM and the Internet doesn't work either. if i uninstall UPSM App i only get 5 spots and still no addition apps besides phone message and internet.
is there anyway to restore to an original UPSM file before the OE one was over written by the UPSM App?
I emailed the developer but didnt get a response
