I searched for a solution on this site but none completely solve my problem, I swear.
Hi guys, this is my first thread.
I have a S3-GTI9300, i'm from Argentina.
Model: GT-I9300
Model name: GALAXY S III
Country: Argentina
Version: Android 4.1.2
Changelist: N/A
Build date: Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000
Product Code: ARO
PDA: I9300UBEMA1
CSC: I9300UVOELL1
MODEM: I9300UBELL1
I have reset the counters with triangle away and unrooted with odin.
I want to upgrade to 4.3, but kies show "THIS IS THE LATEST FIRMWARE" and when i press "Software Upgrade" in wi fi mode (OTA), nothing happens.
why is this happening and how I can fix it?
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Kies sucks and updating via OTA is worse. Use Odin.

It'd be a good idea to factory reset while you're at it. Not doing so will probably work, but much more inclined to have issues.

Hi there,
I currently purchased a new SG3. It has the vodafone branding which I want to change. When I do the *#1234# it shows me the following:

Am I able to change the software/firmware from Vodafone to the Telstra one located on Sammobile. Im unable to post outside links but heres a copy of whats available on sammobile.
Firmwares for GT-I9300T - All (10 latest)
Country/Carrier Date Android PDA CSC
Australia (Telstra) 2012 June 4.0.4 I9300TDUALF2 I9300TTELALF2
Australia (Telstra) 2012 May 4.0.4 I9300TDUALE6 I9300TTELALE6
I got no idea how all this rooting stuff works. Im trying to learn but I can get my head around it. So sorry if any of my questions seem stupid. Thanks for all your help in advance.
No need rooting to flash.
And yes you can flash Telstra firmware on Voda model, they are the same hardwares.
You need Odin 3.04 and need samsung usb driver or if you already have it working with Kies, then no worries about driver.
Here I copied the general instruction from the UK thread:
Instructions For Flashing Firmware:
Extract the firmware
Launch Odin
Turn off your device
Put your device into Download MODE (Home + Volume Down + Power)
Click PDA and select *.tar.md5
Then finally click START!
Thanks mate. Am downloading the firmware now. Its gonna take 2 hours to download.
Am I meant to change any of the options in Odin3?
Thanks again.
Now that I have flashed my galaxy s3 successfully.
I keep getting the message "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped"
Does anyone know what this is or can direct me into the right place? Ive done a factory reset as another thread recommended but didnt work.
Thanks
Hi guys,
I had a problem with my Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 and I had to factory reset it. Now I am back to the 4.1.2 android version and I am unable to update the software! Each time I click on " Software Update" I get the message "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available" as I previously rooted the phone!
I followed this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2215166
But I am unable to download from the terafile.com!! Eacht time I need to wait 58 minutes for download and after 1 hour it keeps telling that I have to wait again 58 minutes! What a crap website!
Is there another way around to download the following? :
Model: GT-I9300
Country: Netherlands
Version: Android 4.1.2
Changelist: N/A

Product Code: PHN
PDA: I9300XXELLA

Once I unroot it from the 4.1.2 version I can upgrade the software.
Please help, thank you a lot!

I am trying to do a complete reset on my phone to get ready to go to a service center. However I am unable to find a completely stock UK version of 4.04, 4.1.2 or 4.3. I have tried everywhere but even though it says UK BTU ( my phone was unlocked from day one ) I have so far had Dutch, German, Swiss and even a Chilean rom.
Could some one please point me to one please.

and
Secure Boot Status
Type: Samsung
Source: http://androidromupdate.com/2014/06...-3-galaxy-s3-gt-i9300-no-4-4-2-kitkat-update/
What are those?
Anything i should be concerned about if wanting to root/unroot/return to full stock or downgrade to earlier stock FW:s (like ive used to do this far with the previous I9300XXUGNA5) ?
Looks like some knox stuff ive seen on Galaxy s4, but GT-I9300 wasnt suppose to get knox, ever.
Thanks.
Strange, I have the same firmware, but no knox. Also, I can't explain why other users talk about knox on s3
I too have seen an Italian variant with the same I9300XXUGND5 FW which had nothing about SELinux or Secure boot.
Seems however the nordic variants CSC: I9300NEEGND1 of I9300XXUGND5 comes with locked bootloader, according to androidromupdate.
So does that mean chainfires cf-auto-root isn't working for this anymore?
Or is there any other root method available if locked bootloader?
Thanks.
Hello there,
I own a Samsung S4 Mini I9190 unbranded from United Arab Emirates, using Android JellyBean 4.2.2.
AP: I9190XXUBNA1
CP: I9190XXUBNA1
CSC: I9190OJVBNA1
I am unable to make the KitKat 4.4.2 update since apparently it is not available for such region. However, I came across this article on the web:
update-galaxy-s4-mini-i9190-xxucng1-android-442-firmware from Team Android (sorry I'm not able to post links yet)
The author claims any unbranded I9190, regardless the region, should be able to perform the manual update to KitKat using the firmware provided:
Model: GT-I9190
Model name: GALAXY S4 mini
Country: Russia
Version: Android 4.4.2
Changelist: 1995154
Build date: Thu, 03 Jul 2014 03:51:09 +0000
Product Code: SER
PDA: I9190XXUCNG1
CSC: I9190SERCNG1
MODEM: I9190XXUCNG1
Is it safe to try it out? I have already backed up everything.
Is there anything I should know about? I don't feel that comfortable with using an update intended for a different firmware.
Thanks a lot for your time.
Regards,
