Hi. I've seen lots of threads about streaming pics etc. from the gs3 to an xbox 360 but I was wondering if you can go the other way?
I have two kids and only one tv. Is it at all possible to play an xbox 360 using my gs3 as the monitor rather than the tv?
So the kids can watch their cartoons and I can play my games, win/win.
Any help would be much appreciated. Even if the answer is NO so I don't waste any more time searching.
Xbox360 has built in wifi. Phone is a Galaxy S3 GT-I9305 running Android 4.3 Thanks.

I love the emulators for android as I am an old fart compared to most of you here. From the nes, genesis, snes, to the saturn. Anyway, I know as of right now wii mote does not work due to the new bluetooth updates or whatever. My question is, once we are rooted will I be able to use that or any other bluetooth controllers of my choosing? this will put a big smile on my face between that and my mhl cable I will have a mobile gaming device like no other
Thanks ahead of time for your help
anyone? bueller? bueller? bueller?
Did some searching around the forums and couldn't find a clear answer - is there any way to use an xbox 360 controller with my photon? Seemed like it might be possible using the HD dock (I realllly want to play gta using an xbox controller). Can anyone confirm or deny?
I somehow made mine work, was a hell of a process though. Ended up finding an app on my phone that would sync to my computer via wifi and see my controllers(plugged into my comp) signals and send them to the Photon. Cant recall name of app off top of head though..

Which version of Android are you using? I seem to remember one of the big features of ICS was native USB device support, so I'm curious if you still need third party apps for gamepads. I'd really like to see if I could use HDMI out and a 360 controller to turn my phone into a full fledged console.

Yeah forgot about that, I was on Cybiks CM7 at the time. On CM9 but haven't messed with trying it out on here since CM9
One guy in here bought the HD dock, and he said a generic controller from Radio Shack worked, but he didn't say about a 360 controller. I know that with the sixaxis app, you can use a PS3 controller, and it's amazing. What's cool about it is that it not only can play games like GTA and Shadowgun, which are designed to take physical keyboard inputs, but it can emulate screen touches. So you can play pretty much any game if you are willing to set up the touch profiles. Modern Combat 3 looks pretty good on my big screen, and game play is smooth once you get the controls you want.
I dropped the $50 on a PS3 controller just because I wanted to use it on my phone, I don't even own a PS3.

I have heard the Wiimote (Nintendo Wii remote) works as well. The common denominator here, with the PS3 Sixaxis controller, is Bluetooth, which our phones support (pretty much all of them do). The Xbox 360 controller uses another kind of wireless, or USB as a peripheral, and phone support for that (without the dock) is far less. I'm considering getting a PS3 controller as well. Screen controls are okay for some emulated games. I beat Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA) on my phone, but I tried a couple Mario games and it was laughably bad.
(Running an Electrify, BTW... should be the same minus 4G.)
So I have a couple of friends who are real apple fan boys and yesterday they kept on braggin while sending photos and videos from their phones over to their TV using Apple TV.
Do we have a hack/mod/app that would allow me to make my Android Device connect to it and toss pictures up on the screen? I wanted to do the of Android Peeing on the Apple.
Thanks guys!
Buy one of these
Edit: I think doubleTwist will let you connect to an Apple TV. Just download that.
You can try AppleTV Media from the Play store, its the best way to control and share content with your AppleTV from an Android device. I have 2 AppleTV's at home and it works flawlessly

Definitely worth a try.
Using media share u can use DLNA compatible devices, I've used my ps3. Works well but I prefer hdmi as the quality is better. Hookup ur phone via hdmi and get 1080p and 5.1 audio if ur videos are encoded with it...ask if their iCrap can do that.
Also love hooking up via hdmi and using my ps3 controller for games, especially onlive. Do that and ur apple friends will be selling their junk on eBay.

Please tell me what rom and the steps you followed to get the evolte to play nice with the sixaxis controller. I have been going crazy for 3 days trying to get this bastard to work! Please PM me or something, It will be very appreciated
Haha! Thank you guys!
If you do this, have another device taking video of the footage of your friends' reaction to the android peeing on apple footage on their nice little AppleTV. Optional: wash, rinse, repeat for android awesomeness inception.

Hey everyone,
This is my first post on xda but I've been reading these forums non-stop since I purchased a Nexus 7 (about a month). I've watched the "you are a noob video" and I'm pretty gun-shy from posting a new thread when I've been looking a REALLY long time. Please keep your knives to yourselves until you've completely understood my issue.
I was hoping of using my Nexus 7 as a Windows controller.
You see, I already own a "Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows"
[The picture was blocked by xda developers, you'll just have to Google it.]
And I've since sold my 360 and all the controllers. I was hoping of using my Nexus 7, as a "360 controller" on my PC. This way it could be mapped from there to use on say, emulators, pc games, ect..
Is anyone aware if this is possible?
Thank you!
Rakaim
looking for some tips. i was in the market for a roku or a chromecast (eventually would prob get a chromecast anyways, but i like having a nice UI hence XBMC) to put on my living room TV, but thought maybe i could use my phone running xbmc instead with an hdmi out cable.
anyone have any experience with this? any lag? issues? hiccups? thanks.
thought about getting an android stick like MK808 but figured the Droid DNA would be more powerful.
Have 3 rokus in the house and one machine running plex with a 2tb nas drive full of movies etc. Have you ever used plex? It's looks and acts just like netflix and the picture quality/transcoding is superb! Plex rocks!
Not a fan of the netflex/plex UI on the roku
