Infinite Battery
Hi for all, i had seen this script here, and liked it a lot. So I decided to port it to the Moto X. I talked to TopDroid, and he gave me permission to do! So enjoy!
Features:
Code:
[B]What this script does?[/B]
When your phone is in AWAKE state:
Governor = Interactive
Max = 1728000
Min = 384000
When your phone is in SLEEP state:
Governor = OnDemand
Max = 384000
Min = 384000
So basically this script automatically changes governor,min & max freq and more
depending on your phone's state which results in saving battery to great extent.

Currently running Eclipse ROM and was just about to flash Krypto's stock enhanced kernel. Wondering what this will do with that.

Does removing file from sd card remove the script, or do we need to delete something from init.d folder?

does this trick work? i mean doesn't it freeze phone or what else? and how can i eliminated it?
To everyone asking questions, I've used for about 3 days now. Generally does not lag or freeze when screen is off. Active display still works wonderfully. Only had one freeze and that was when I had a few things running and one app stopped working, so I don't think it was because of this. I haven't noticed a whole lot better standby time (but my screen on time has gotten better so perhaps correlated) so I'd have to check to see if it actually switches governors when screen is off for me
I also changed it a bit because I use faux's kernel and changed it to intelliactive instead of interactive
Big thanks for the script!

Why is my device running/booting slowly?
Your first boot will take an unimaginably long time. After that, your device will continue to run slowly until the application cache is built up. Don't worry, the speed will increase as you use the ROM!
The new Android Market doesn't work for me. Can I get the old one?
Yes! Check the attachments on this thread. Download and install "androidmarket.zip."
Why is my battery life bad?
Your battery life is often killed when flashing ROMs in CWM. For the best battery life, you must drain your device’s battery until it turns off. Plug the device into the AC adapter and let it charge till the image says 100% charged. Then turn it on and use the volume buttons to boot into CWM. Click Wipe Battery Stats under the advanced menu. Then you should charge to 100% and install the ROM. Battery life should be comparable to (if not better than) every other ROM.
Reserved for future use!
And away we go.....

Your phone has a locked bootloader. Things are very similar across all Android phones, but you still need to follow the directions on the install page. SBF's are Motorola-only, that's why you've probably never heard of em.
First off, all credit goes to xdabbeb...awesome developer!
Here is a port of the Split Window mod from the G2...
At the moment this will only work on the 20D OTA(US)...to run on other variants/firmware it would have to be ported over. It is not a one size fits all mod (need the framework for each).
Install Instructions:
1. Make a backup
2. Flash the .zip file
3. Upon reboot, use a file explorer to add the following lines to the build.prop
ro.lge.capp_splitwindow=true
persist.splitwindow.support_all=true4.Reboot
5. Go to Setting: Multi-tasking to enable features of Split Window.
6. Enjoy!
NOTE: I will work on updating the scripts to add the new build.prop lines but for now they need to be done manually.
If you would like to try the port yourself...use this guide by xdabbeb...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2792938&page=1
If you have questions feel free to shoot me a PM and I will help out...

The only ROM I have been able to try it on is stock 4.4.2. Basically, the OTA and I uninstalled some of the bloat and added some xposed modules. If anything in regards to the framework has been changed in the LRS ROM I'm not sure this would work. I would need to do some digging. Sorry about that guys!
EDIT: Looks like the LRS ROM is based on 20b this may be part of the issue with the bootloop. Not sure if anything changed between 20b and 20d.

Dang! From what I can tell, it would have to be built for each ROM available for the device...I don't think it is one size fits all.
If I have time, I can try and get it to work on some of the more popular ROMs for the device...just not sure how soon I can get to it.
Can anyone confirm this working on their device? If so, please post what variant/firmware you are running...

Vanir is AOSP.
This SliptView is for LG Framework, it will not work on aosp.
the same way it doesn't work on AOSP G2, etc.

What I did was make a backup of all my data in TWRP (also backed my apps up with Titanium Backup) , then used the LG Mobile tool to go back to plain ol stock, took the 20d OTA, then restored my data from TWRP.
There may be a better way but I took this route because I had caused a bootloop messing with something else.

I have Android Pay working on the official LVY48F image, but I'm pretty sure the DPI change that was done with this will not work with it. Also had to hold off on rooting until after it was set up.
Sorry guys. I didn't mean to change it in the rom. I just wanted it set to 460 on my phone. I can give you a different build.prop file or correct it and upload again. Give me a second and I'll upload a correct build and a 2nd flashable zip to correct dpi only.
EDIT: Attached is the flashable zip to set the density to 560 which is stock. I am uploading the full ROM with it corrected and I will post the link here when it's done.
P.S. If someone tries the attached zip, please post and confirm that it fixed your DPI. Thanks!

You shouldn't be receiving an update message is you're running this build. Check your settings about and make sure that your build number is LVY48F. The update will fail if you try to accept it.

If you ever get another one, don't update. It'll fail if you have a custom recovery. Even if you had stock recovery, you'll then lose root and be encrypted again. Wait for a ROM update.

#WhiteUIsMustDie, #EndDarkAppOppression
Hello everyone,
I'm running into an issue here, I flashed this ROM so I could activate my Project Fi invite. Unfortunately, I am getting the same message as I've gotten on every other ROM. First, I will get error T301 and cannot do anything I'm the app. Eventually I get around it by attempting to choose network operators in the settings but get stuck at the part where I am trying to transfer my number. After typing in all the account info and selecting next, I get a notification at the bottom of the screen that reads "something went wrong".
I've been wondering, do I need to flash any of the radios, base (baseband?), or any other of the things that are linked in the OP? If so, which ones?
P.S. I have never flashed a different radio or bootloader etc. on this phone since I purchased in May.
If that's not the case does anyone have any idea what could be the issue? Any help is highly appreciated and I thank you in advance!

Well, what the idea of using this ?
Having root you can easily change: governor, i/o scheduler or frequency with an app. Like Rom Toolbox.
Maybe I am missing something ?

Ok, you win, 3c Toolbox seems to be smarter then i thought :good:
But it is still extra app with extra CPU time and RAM usage. And init.qcom.post_boot.sh is native and the most not resource-intensive way to configure frecs.
Nice discussion and opportunity to learn something new.
Thank guys.

I think it's boot dependent on stock rom
Hi Mob. Glad I ran across your thread. I flashed your fix-freq zip and it's great frequency btw. However, it's not being persistent.
I am using Firelord's CM14 build btw. I was on S288>CM13 prior to CM 14. I'm having problems with max frequency. It wouldn't let me stick to 1.3ghz. It reverts to its stock governor (performance: cores 2 and 3 are offline, little cores 4, 5, 6,7 are set to 1.1ghz) I just found about this when I checked my cpu overlays because of stuttering and intermittent freezes.
I just need your fix-freq to hold on boot and normal usage. I can't do stuffs with a 960mhz max freq. Lol. Any help on how to achieve this is highly appreciated. See attachrd files for reference. My post also on CM14 thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/vibe-p1/development/rom-unofficial-lineageos-14-1-t3536834/page5
Note sure what else needs to be changed in order for the frequency to hold. Pretty sure this wasn't the case when I was on S272 and 288.
Attached is your init.qcom after flashing it through twrp. I feel that there's something overiding your qcom setup. Not sure what it is as I just want to have a stock scaling frequency on CM14.

There's also an early boot file in >root

Tried on the A2017U...
Got a message saying this version was out of date (popped up 3 or 4 times after I hit OK), then the app crashed. I tried it again, got the same message but it let me go to the battery selection. I chose the green circle, but nothing happened, then it crashed again. I tried it one more time, chose the green circle and a charging animation, and it crashed again....So I removed it with Tbiu.
I applied the most APPLICATION
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IS THIS ERROR

I didn't get the "out of date" warning, and it didn't crash...But nothing happened when I chose the battery I wanted. But, I am on A2017U (not the G version), so not sure that makes a difference?
I do know that DrakenFX had been trying to add this to his ROM, but never got it to work. Something to do with the stock UI?
SS can do from the desktop?

Hopefully someone else will give it a try and offer more feedback?
Thank your for this, even if it doesn't work on my phone. It's a start!
I tried getting this to work a month ago with no success. If I may ask which XML files you made your edits? The normal ones you edit were not working due to ZTE have there own custom edits for there battery interface. The @id/battery already has a dip figure added so changing that according to the instructions did not change anything. Anyways thanks for your contribution. I am unable to test. I have the United States version with the latest 30 build so I am unable to test your zip.

This zip should flash a deodexed version of the system file which would be a big difference between the USA model and the G. Long story short is why you are getting the error. If the OP let's me know which files specifically he edited I already have the files for the united states deodexed and ready to go. Me and two others were trying to figure this out a month ago or so.
Please send me SystemUI_ZTE version of U
edit )))))
