[Q]mini pro bootloader - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi guys,
I have a sk17i and I've been trying to reboot into recovery without any success. I tried volume up+usb, volume down+usb, home button+usb, camera+usb, and all the combinations that I could think of. Either I got the led to become green or orange, but never blue. My phone is sim unlock, but not bootloader unlock I already have the key to unlock it, but of course I haven't been able to do it. I don't believe that the problem is in the phone because I have two of them, and I have exactly the same behavior in both.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

IF you not unlock your bootloader = you cant enter fastboot = cant enter fastboot = no CUSTOM kernel flashing = no custom kernel = no recovery for you. thats simple. if you ga a custom kernel, you can enter recovery, by pressing CONTINUESLY voulme down (-) at kernal boot screen.
good luck.
btw unlocking bootloader has NO disadvanteges, IMO.

[Q] confused about locked and hardware locked

Hi guys,
I am still new to this phone and I am trying to read as much as possible. but there is a lot of terminology to absorb. And I definitely want to make sure my phone is OK before the 14-day period when I can exchange it..
So, I unlocked my phone using one of the posted methods on here. i tried it with an AT&T sim card and it works.
Now, I read that there is something like a "hardware lock" which is bad .. because.. I wont be able to root or put rom or update my phone? I tried to go to a recovery mode, but could not, is my phone hardware locked?
Thanks in advance!

Did you do the correct way to recovery?
-Phone off, both volume keys held down
-Hit and hold power button while holding down volume keys
-The word vibrant will come on, and then it will go black again and reboot (still holding down all three buttons)
-When you see the word vibrant THE SECOND TIME let go of the power button but keep the volume keys down until you boot into recovery.
If not, most likely you are hardware locked. I don't have this problem but I think there's threads around for hardware locked users for workarounds and such.
yeah, i did exactly that:
1) power phone off
2) hold both volume buttons
3) hold power button
4) vibrant comes on, wait, vibrant comes on 2nd time
5) release power button, still holding both volume buttons
6) Vibrant starts in a normal way, i do not see anything different, so I assume i am in a regular mode, not recovery mode

Make sure your Vibrant is hardware locked.
If you suspect that it is, you can read this thread HERE.
That will help you get your hardware locked phone working.
Unless you want to go get a new one.
I tied the following ways to test if my phone is hardware locked
1) vol up+ down + power
2) volu up + power
3) vol down + power
Nothing worked How would my phone would be hardware locked? I have not rooted, installed roms, nor apps.. Everything is stock, except that I unlocked the phone. that's all..
And it will be a huge pain to ship the phone back + wait for a new one, which there is no guarantee it wont be hardware locked ..?
Would I be able to install any rom if I am hardware locked? It seems like bionix mod is pretty popular..
Hardware lock is simply a boot loader issue. The phone has software the runs when you turn it out which in turn boots up the operating system. In hardware locked phones, the boot loader is not looking for the key combo to access recovery or download mode. If you go to the link provided, it tells you how to flash your phone to update the boot loader so that it is no longer hardware locked.

[Q] Failed To Boot 0x1000 to unlock Bootloader

When I try to unlock my bootloader appears this error title. I've tried several times with several different procedures but always the error "Failed To Boot 0x1000" and I have to reinstall the ROM STOCK.
My version: 4.5.141.
Does anyone know a proper way to unlock the bootloader version of this?
Thank you.
Try searching, believe it's been covered. Also search for soft-brick.

I faced the same problem and i had the same version as yours. got the same error too trying to unlock bootloader. I thought i Bricked my phone. Just follow this thread to unlock bootloader. And watch the video.
IMPORTANT: IF YOU CANT ENTER FASTBOOT MODE, EVEN WHEN YOU TRYING TO PRESS THE POWER BUTTON WHILE PRESSING VOLUME UP BUTTON, DON'T DO IT. COZ IT AINT GONNA WORK.
First, Remove the battery and wait about five minutes. Then put the battery back. Then hold down the power button (don't release) and When you see the Green Light lights up, push the volume up button once. It will enter fastboot. Then release power button. You have to do it quickly. If it didn't workout, Try again. It's the only way. I tried five or six times to enter fastboot. It need correct timing. And use the software in that thread.

Xperia neo mt15i not responsive

Hi,
i have a problem with my xperia neo.
I have locked bootloader, stock ICS rom, no root.
My phone don't boot up.
I tried to restore the phone with SEUS, but nothing changed (the phone can enter in flashboot (back button while connecting to pc)).
I Don't know what to do now. Is there any possibility to unlock the bootloader without powering on the phone?
Thanks

Hey!
'Maybe' something happened to your screen.
Try giving it for repair.
or you can try flashing the ".ftf" file for your mobile.
You can also give it a whack. it worked many times when my speaker stopped working..
please hit ' thanks' if i helped you!
I tried to flash ".ftf" stock ICS, but nothing changed.
I tried to flash stock kernel and ICS. Same result.
The strange thing is that the phone vibrates, when turned on. If I press the power button againe, after few seconds and keep it pushed, the phone vibrates again.
It seems that the phone try to power on, but after 2 or 3 seconds it shuts down again. I tried to change battery, same result.
Does xperia phone have a recovery?
I've read that i can unlock bootloader with Test pins. Then i can try to install a modified recovery (is it possible to install cwm without powering on the phone? only flashmode?). It works with every xperia neo?
I've realized I can enter in flashmode (with back button while connecting to PC) but not in Fastboot mode (menu button).
I'm SIM unlocked.
Yea..u can use testpoint to unlock bootloader...ur supposed to do it without battery..coz u need to ground it via negative pins..
But be very careful while doing so...read evrythin before u start...
Once unlocked..flash a kernel..then Rom..
If u dont wanna take the risk...goto the service centre...
Nd did flashtool show any error??
Did it! Thank you mate!
Unlocked bootloader with testpins, flashed cwm and new rom.
Thanks again.

I have a touchmate mid 725 and i have dumped the rom. I have uploaded to the cwm builder and got 4 files in return but i dont know what to do with these files. I have searched everywhere but nothing.
Files
manifest.xml
recovery.img
inputrecovery.img
android_device_unknown_nuclear708h9.zip
What am i supposed to do?
And also i dont know how to boot into my stock recovery. I am not a noob. But this thing just wont boot. Has 3 buttons - power, volume up and down - When i hold these in any combination, the tablet wont boot at all. When i just power, it powers on normally.

First thing is that your bootloader must be unlocked before flashing the recovery. For flashing you must adb on your PC. Then open your phone in fastboot mode. And type the following command from terminal or shell(windows) :
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
And for booting into recovery I'll suggest holding volume down + power.
But whatever the first thing is to unlock the bootloader.

The method to unlock the bootloader is specific to what company's phone you own. And even some company's don't provide a method to unlock the bootloader. In that case there's only a little modifications that could be done on your phone.
Search at google/xdayour tablet) unlock bootloader.Unlocking bootloader is the first thing you should concentrate on.

Yes. It's better to contact the company. But I suppose there won't be any way to unlock the bootloader.

Hardbrick Sony Xperia Tablet Z SGP321

Hello guys.
Hoping on your truly support. Have the problem, which cannot solve by myself.
Was trying to flash boot.img from CWM recovery 6.0.3.0 via fastboot. It flashes succesfully, but after rebooting the tablet it doesnt show any signs of life. Was trying EMMA for solving , Flashtool to change kernel, but when plug it through usb, it haven't launched and PC don't recognize any device connected. When i press Vol+ Vol- Power at the same time LED lights with white 3 times and that all.
Was using rooted Lollipop 5.1.1 with unlocked bootloader.
Is there any possibility to reanimate it or its finished totally.
Regards.
Edit.
Many thnx 2 Alok Bajaj for his solution:
Here's what you can do..
Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up button for ten seconds until you see a white light flashing three times. While doing this somewhere around in 5 seconds you'll see white led flashing once, but keep on pressing those buttons till it flashes next three times.
After that your tablet will be turned Off.
You can put your device in flash mode and flash a new ROM from Xperia flash tool.
If you get the error "Unknown sources and USB debugging must me enable for flash mode, then your option can be to flash the ROM from fastboot.
Download a ROM (CyanogenMod or any with custom recovery).
Flash the boot.img via fastboot and reboot your device.
Once done you should see a led lit up while the device is booting (pink/magenta color in case of CyanogenMod).
Press the volume up/down button and you should be able to go to recovery mode.
From here you can recover your device easily
And before you do anything make sure you've charged your device well.
Good luck
Cheers mate!
hi,
thanks for the tutorial, I try it but*don`t see the second three blue blinks how long usually*takes to wait for them
Hi there! I think I have hardbricked my tablet (SGP321) too. The thing is, mine won't start, no matter what I press and do. If I press the power button it blinks white and if I press the UP button with it, it blinks three times. After that nothing happens. If I connect a USB to it, it just flickers first red and then green. And thats it.
I tried to flash [7.1] CyanogenMod 14 [POLLUX/POLLUX_WINDY][UNOFFICIAL] by CaHbKaUp and chose the Pollux Version from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-tablet-z/general/rom-cyanogenmod-14-t3496758. I also flashed the recommended GApps.
I whiped the sd-card in recovery (twrp) first and then flashed the new rom and GApps.
I think I chose the wrong version, maybe? I flashed my tablet once and I thought I could do it again, the same way as before. Guess I was wrong.
If there is anything I can do to get this back to work, please respond!
with regards
PsyPax

Didn't know about the bootloader.
Has Android 5.1.1 Stock rom,

installed XZDualrecovery from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606
Then it showed up twrp and I flashed lineage-14.1-20170417-UNOFFICIAL-pollux.zip

Reflash device with Flashtool.
You can't flash custom ROMs with XZDR recovery.
