Any idea why the black color is around these stickers it also happenes with the playstore , didn't find this problem any where else , using Jelly Xperia V7 ROM , if i flash that ROM again problem solves , but i'm curious to know , what has messed up the graphics.... as i have installed loads of apps and others things , if i install the data backup of CWM , again this black thingie comes.. -_- , help really appreciated

the same happened on the stock rom..
apparently the google play store 4.8.20 update is responsible..

is it??? then today whole day i spent finding the bug , and lastly made a fresh format and everything was fine , play store tooo , then i installed facebook and opened it and i opened the stickers tab! Damn again that black background appeared around stickers and then even playstore was affected! play store was fine till i opened stickers tab , even after opening FB app , so the culprit may be FB app or The Play Store update....

And then i removed all the traces of Playstore , and still FB had that messy Black thing instead of shadow , again i flashed G apps everything was quite fine until i opened facebook stickers tab and then playstore was affected....

Hi all,
Today I've installed ICS DOMINATION v4.0.1 and I must say I am very impressed with it and it runs very smooth, finally my Galaxy s2 looks more like a ICS phone.
The Issue is,
After I installed this Rom I couldn't find the Android Market, I was told to find Play Store after the previous Market recently got updated into Play Store.
I have found Play Store and I installed it, I accepted the terms and it's all good.
But when I tried to search for a App, it crashed and every time I try to open Play Store it crashes.
It's pretty frustrating and I hope you people can help me out here?

C'mon people, I really need some help out here.
After uninstalling updates clear data, delete vending.apk from system/app
And redownload Google play market from themes and apps section and install it

Back to stock (or GB custom rom) & wait for official ICS if you really want to get rid of the problem.
When Google Market switched to Play Market or whatever the new name is, I found that where I had it on my home screen was broken and needed to pulled from the app drawer again. It even needed a reboot first.
Again, just now almost, I had a problem and resolved it the same way but this time it was more apparent because I had a broken icon on the home screen as well. Same thing; had to pull it from the app drawer.
Both times this happened while I was in the middle of updating apps.
There is this possibility, long shot as it may be...
Hi I got a Brand new Samsung Galaxy Mini 2, great device, everything is perfect only problem I got is that when I'm in Google Play and want to look at the screenshots of an app, and swipe between them the device freezes, then vibrates and sends me back to Google Play, sometimes it gives me an error message, I have done like 3 factory resets but it doesn't fix it, any recommendations?

I'm on the latest, which is 3.9.16. I have noticed that if the screenshots on google play are in landscape, there is no problem switching between them (eg. Nova), and if I hold the device sideways, I can switch between the screens even if they are portrait screenshots with no problem, wondering if there es a problem with the screen size, everything in any other app is perfect, I tried viewing pictures on the IMDB app and works perfect is just when clicking the images on google play.

OK, the problem is related to google play 3.9.16, I know because in manage applicationd I uninstalled google play updates so it went to a previous version, and it works perfect, the problem is that it updates by itself back to 3.9.16 and the problem comes back. any ideas? maybe a way to stop it from updating?

You can use Titanium Backup to keep it form Updating. Or you can go into Menu - Settings - Applications - Manage applications - Market Updater. Then Force Stop it from there. But I think you might also just want to try the latest version of the Play Store. You can find it v3.9.17 HERE. The article has the Download links, and info on what's new.

I'm asking you for HELP because I lost hope how to fix my problem with my new Asus Zenfone 5 on my own. I bought phone from China - Spemall.com (good and safe website). Phone is brilliant and very well made all is perfect except one thing - it was no play store installed. All other phones and tablets from them had play store installed this is first time when I had device without it.
I have this phone for two days now I was trying almost everything (in my opinion everything) to install both first Google Play Services and after that Play Store.
I downloaded both latest versions apk and first installed services and after play store but when trying to tap in play store icon all what I getting is
---Unfortunately Google play services has stopped.
I was cleaning data, cache, reinstalling both apps and even I did few times factory reset but nothing. I was still getting famous massage --- Unfortunately Google play services has stopped. Whatever I press Google settings or play store it will always end up in this same way.
Phone is not rooted!!!
I was using guides from you tube because that was easy start and you must start somewhere and sometimes when problem is little you are able to fix it but this time is different and my knowledge and you tube is not enough that's why I asking you guys to help me in this difficult moment.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks for you help I did installed this before but did not liked and after watching you tube I found how to install: mobile 1 ---- Aptido and Amazon store (Amazon is tragically bad with few apps free).
Mobile 1 and Aptido are very good I must find out what I did before because you tube does not work I had Google play services installed and I was working few things on you tube just to check if they work.
Still looking for solution to get Google play services and Google play store to work .

There is(icon like bag / ASUS (written) ) but its only ChINESE.. you can find so aplications and install them... i installet outlook.com, viber, metatrade, display test, google maps,
its working you can install aplications.. BUT FU KIN ChINESE....
WHY those spemall think i need chinese version.... i wrote to them for help... to install play store or WW version... but stil they dont help me...
and i think to send back this phone..

Go to this forum, got method to change frm CN ver to WW ver. In pg 70 onwards. Must go to asus.com singapore site to download the official firmware.
Meanwhile, enjoy this beautiful phone!

I use Zenfone 5(LTE) with kitkat for a while and I found a problem with Google Play Services / Open GMail/ and other apps , there is a problem with this version, I seen a error messages "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has been closed", / Unfortunately, Gmail has stopped", I don't know that its come from Google or on ASUS firmwares. If you have seen this error? i Think this Firmware already infected with new virus, i hope someone help me to solve this problem

I have same problem and I CAN'T FIND A METHOD
Hi .. I am facing a huge problam with my G2 from last 3days.. I couldn't be able to download any app through mobile data any more .. i used 3g/4g network all things working fine browsing social networking etc. But when i try to downlaod an app from play store it shows error 495 ... I downloaded 1mobile market for checking if there was general problam or Play store error .. And 1mobile market working fine on mobile data .. I done every thing reset all setting uninstall updates of play store but still problam is there .. Plz someone help me

That sucks. Last time that happened, I removed the account, rebooted, and re-added the account and it worked fine. Phones have a mind of their own sometimes, I swear. lol But as far as the games, both appear to have cloud saving functions.

Well I am about to smash my phone to bits lol so I'm hoping for a bit of help. Had my le max 2 for over a year and its been ok, it automatically updated not long ago and since then nothing GOOGLE works, playstore wont load, always get the Play services stopped working popping up every 3 mins or so. I have deleted them and downloaded the apk's a million times and it does the same thing over and over. Also some other apps just do not work now.
On top of that I have the other 2 home screens that is all adverts and in another language I'm guessing Chinese, My calendar is also messed up with all extra Chinese writing in it and other bits, I also get advert bars at the bottom when I open certain things.
I now can not even install facebook or anything else as the google playstore does not work I have tried other app stores you can download that have all the apps on and they don't really work either and a lot say they need google play services to work so I get that popping up.
I have no idea about rooting phones, installing customs roms or anything although I have checked videos and I'm still no further what to install or do.
I just want google play to work again so I can have things as I did before
any ideas at all please? if I cant sort it I think I'm just going to go back to samsung

some conflict happened after the update, you need to reset factory.

Are you referring to the stock rom 028S? I don't think it is fully compatible with Google Services. After many re-installations, I gave up on it and installed Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 Nougat and never looked back. It frees up tons of memory too.
