So everytime i have tried to install AOSP rom or CM, my SD-card cant be found, but when i install.
Now i use Archidroid, and it cant find my SD-Card. When i used Neatrom "http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/rom-neatromlite-themed-aroma-mods-t2060403" The first one, then it found my SD-card.
Why does this happand, and how can i fix it?
Install sd card fix from play store
Known problem with kit kat
Maybe the fix hasn't been implemented yet in the latest commits in cm or omni
Press thanx if i helped you in anyway...
No, that did not work either. I have tried to format my sd-card to exFat and Fat32. Why oh Why does this happend!

Hi Peeps!!!
Seriously need help. after reading all sort of guide in here. i still really cant find any similar case like mine. or maybe i am still noob in rooting.
first time rooting my S2 and right now
my baseband version: I9100DXKL1
Kernal Version: 3.0.15-CM-ga77f0f1
Build number:IMM76I
Mod version is resurrection remix ICS v1.8.1
ICS 4.0.4
Previously was android 2.3.6 gingerbread version.
Problem is when now my phone cant detect my micro sd card.
Believe that i put the resurrection remix file into my mirco sd card.
then i zip from mirco sd card.
did some rectification by formating my SD card. - no use
re flash a new rom - no use
use odin to flash - more worse. cant boot up.
then install ressurrection rom back.
Can anyone help me step by step what are the things i need to do?
really super confused right now. because of this i lose all my pictures and information on my internal memory from my phone. so sad...
Any kind soul please help! struggling for 2 nights already. cant seem to solve the problem.
Thank you in advance for those who render help!!!
You're probably looking in the wrong place. You should be looking in /mnt/emmc/
Yes it's a known issue on AOKP ROMs. The External SD Card is not shown in External_SD it is now in /mnt/emmc. You can link External_sd to emmc again with a apk but then the mass storage is not going to work. I also tried resurection rom and had this issue. Is't your option live with this or get on another ROM!
flash a diff rom if ya face prblm, every rom has its own advatage an disadvantage.....so read the roms page on wat it offers u....an select....
Registered to post this. I had the same issue. Here's a solution that works for me and may work for others:
in terminal editor:
Code:
$ su
# mount /mnt/emmc /mnt/sdcard/external_sd
This is a quick hack that must be done any time you want to access your external sdcard through external_sd. It gets reset on a reboot. A better option might be to put it in fstab (if it exists, I can't seem to find one) or in an init.d script to run at boot. This mounts emmc as a loopback on external_sd and doesn't seem to break mass storage or anything else, at least I haven't found anything yet, though I stand to be corrected. As I said, it's a bit of a hack...
EDIT: I'm on Resurrection Remix 1.9.1, but it should work with any Resurrection as long as busybox is installed.
Hey guys i tried many of the KitkatUnofficial roms etc. non of them is able to get access to my MicroSD card, like in Esexplorer it would only show 0.00Kb ? is there a Kitkat rom that is able to read external sdcards?! if yes which?
this one can but it has other bugs like the front camera...

I'm running Omni rom (infected version) 4.4.2 and it does read the micro sd card.
May I know which other Kitkat roms have you tried already?
SlimKat can access external SD too.. I think it's not the ROM problem?
OmniROM by @infected_ can do this

umm most haha i flashed most like Slimkat and pound ,omni bfor too and beanstalk< but i have a media scanning issue i belive.. cuz it wont show my all of my sd card content and especially in EsFileExplorer it wont open my micro sdcard< i duno why its like that with most kitkat based roms, even with the latest 4.4.2 < im currently stayin on stock based rom it gives much better battery life.. hmm guess i will just wait till kitkat can do more or smthn.
Try other microSD card and test if it doesn't work too. Can You see her in CWM? (via mount and maybe Aroma Filemanager). I had similar problem with 32GB card - too much data I deleted ~3GB and after that it works..
Sometimes it's an unlucky combination of various factors, so ext is not read by the OS and eventually maybe not even through custom recovery, but SlimBean KitKat beta can read and write it just fine (tested and it's working).
Edit:
Speaking of the devil... my SanDisk just refused to function... will get it substed as soon as the holidays are over, still nothing to do with KitKat or any other Android OS, it's a faulty card IMO.
I used to have Cyanognenmod 10.1.3 installed on my phone, then I wanted to install CM 11. I figured out I had to update safestrap first - from v3.11 to v3.65.
After I updated safestrap, I was able to install the CM 11 and the 4.3.0 Gapps, because the KitKat 4.4 Gapps version did not install when I tried it. But ever since I'm using CM 11, I've been having problems with baterry level (it doesn't appear to update unless I reboot my phone) and and SD card (SD card is blank or has unsupported filesystem) considering I can still save stuff on it.
Did I do something wrong? What should I do to solve it?
Up
I flashed the last nightly and instead of using the KK 4.4.2 Gapps (it didn't install) I went with 4.4.
I'm calibrating the battery using an application from Play Store, after it's done I'll update about the results.
The SD Card problem persists, my Razr won't recognize it, when I open "storage/sdcard1" file, there is only "/Android" data file on it, but when I open my SD Card on desktop with SD adapter it shows everything (Music, Images, Video, etc.). The SD format is already FAT32.
As the title says, I'm looking for a ROM that is KK based, but also supports exFAT formatted MicroSD Cards. I was on OmniROM and CyanogenMod, and I like the ROMs, but I'm not sure if they support exFAT formatted MicroSD cards or not. I know they don't support ext4 formatted SD cards well, which is why I temporarily rolled back to a 4.3 Sammy based ROM. I prefer KK, but I also don't want to have to keep my MicroSD card formatted in FAT32 if I don't have to.
exFAT support on omnirom via boeffla kernel
Recently, I was exploring OmniROM 4.4.2 and was quite amazed that i could not see my files on a 64GB exfat formatted sd card... Though, in CWM, my files were definitely there, but the ROM could not see them.
I fixed this by flashing the amazing boeffla kernel and set the exfat module to ON in boeffla config 2 app. the files on the SD card were immediately visible. i did not have success with googy max 2 kernel, though... boeffla did the job.
i had also temasek ROM CM11 4.4.2 recently and the rom definitely supports exfat, you can use whatever kernel u want.

Thanks. Temasek's CM11 seems to be working fine for accessing my exFAT partitioned card. Is there a way to have Temasek auto-update, (I'm a fan of running the latest and greatest), or do I have to manually update it? I don't see an option for system updates.
no auto update, just manual

The latest doesnt always mean better. there is always experimenting involved and the new code can contain bugs. like for example a user has recently reported that he has a sudden battery drain on the newest V58 and did not have this behaviour on V57. or - someone else reported an unstable LED notification. i had this issue too. or - the newer ROM could be without a feature you liked. (halo was gone after several releases...).
you can read about newest experiences and findings here:

also, this was an old thread, you will find tons of valuable formation there:

this rom doesnt have an auto update, you have to use it this way:
HOW TO INSTALL
Latest official CWM recommended but not required.
Read this first -> CLICK ME
1st Time Installing
Download the zip
Download Gapps
WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET
Install the update zip from recovery
Install gapps
Reboot
Already installed CM11.0
Download the zip
Install the update zip from recovery
Reflash gapps (if you are using pa gapps)
Reboot
i experienced problems while dirty flashing, i steped from V50 to V56 and the ROM was misbehaving. so from there on, i use cache / dalvik cache reset after EACH mentioned dirtyflashing step (rom flash, clean both, then gapps flash, clean both).
Okay I guess I should be a little more descriptive. I know you have to have a fat32 SD card for the ROM to work and I did that. I did it off of the computer.
But when i try to go to gallery/camera/etc. It says there is no SD card, why is that? did I miss something? Also the play store won't let me download because it keeps force closing.
I would like to know if I missed something or if there are proper steps to make it work. Like rom gapps and kernel if it helps.
I have the galaxy s5 sm-g900t. CM 12.1
