[Q] Razr XT910 Problem with Baseband & IMEI - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hello,
since last weekend I'm facing a problem on my Razr XT910 where I could need some help.
Configuration of my phone when I noticed the problem:
Jelly Bean 4.1.2 rootet
Safestrap 2.6.3 installed
@ ROM Slot 1: CM 11 4.4.2 installed
When running CM 11 I noticed that I wasn't connected to GSM or 3G I only had a empty symbol for my GSM/3G connectivity. On the first I didn't care about that, cause it happens sometimes that your carrier has problems with his infrastructure. I startet wondering as my wife called me on our home phone and she's using the same carrier as myself.
So I rebooted to stock rom and whoa there I had the same problem. Then I tooked a look into my settings and there I saw, that there is no information about:
- baseband
- imei
- imei sv
- serial number
- apn
Did a search on the net and found a lot of thread containing my problem, but not one with a solution in it.
What I tried so far is:
- Factory reset on both ROM Slot 1 CM11 and Stock Rom
- Deleting and set up new ROM Slot 1 with CM11
- Unbrick using the method of HSD-Pilot (afterwards rooted and installed bmm)
- Unbrick using the RSD Lite method (afterwards rooted and installed bmm)
- Flash bp using the methods bmm (zip and flash firmware method) and fastboot
with bmm (flash firmware method) I get the following error message while flashing:
assert failed: motorola.motoflash(getprop("firmware.path"))
E: Error in /script/radio.zip (Status 7)
Flashing aborted
with bmm (install zip method) I get the following error message while flashing:
E: Error in /ext/Toolz/Radio/Radio.zip (Status 6)
Installation aborted.
using the fastboot method (fastboot flash radio radio.img) seems to work. After rebooting I see the robot with the spinning atom (blue)? a long time with the indicator below then the lying robot with read triangle is shown really short followed by the first robot with the spinning atom - seem revoking the made changes.
I also tried the following cmd before executing the flash cmd
- fastboot erase cache
Right now I think that something with the radio partition (does one exist?) is not ok. Is there a way to reformat everything or what could I do to solve this problem.
Any help? Any more information needed?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried a FULL FLASH of Moto JB? Flash the latest firmware with RSD Lite and and before delete the parts including "emc..." from the xml file because this would erase your whole internal storage (or make a backup on your computer). After that you will have to root, install latest SS (3.72),etc.

Do you mean that I use a fastboot file from here Droid Developers - Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.982.124.14.XT910.Retail.en.EU and flash it with RSD Lite?
If yes, that has been done alreade with no effect

no more ideas for me?

You must wipe cache, then install the zip again. Of course you must flash the new leak, not T-Mo.
Edit: Otherwise you could extract the t-Mo ICS zip to your harddrive. The pick the cdt.bin_signed, devtree_signed, and all mbm-files and flash them via moto-fastboot. Then flash the t-mo 2.3.6 system_signed again and reboot into recovery, perform a full wipe and cache wipe. Then apply the ICS update.zip.
Or if you want to try the newest leak, just do the same steps using the 2.3.6 26 fastboot and the new ICS zip.

So this is a way to go to a newer ICS leak from the T-Mo leak? Just flash the zip from recovery after wiping /cache?

Read my edit above. But in normal case you must not wipe anything, just flash the system_signed from the 26 fastboot and then apply the update zip from the new leak.
Edit: Also the boot_new.img has to be flashed before applying the update.

Hey mate. Have you lost the root permissions? Could you create a step by step?
I tried also to flash the boot_new.img with sdk tools.
Commande: fastboot flash boot boot_new.img
But got this failurebootloader) Preflash validation failure
Failed (remote: )
Something is wrong but what???
Put the etrj fastboot on your Desktop and use the Windows Terminal (cmd)
Works flawless for me...

Normal fastboot won't work. Use the moto-fastboot or the eprj-mfastboot.

There is already a step-by-step in the other thread wehere you can get the files. And I had no root before so there wasn't anything to loose If you running on rooted leak, you shouldn't flash this one. Search the forums, there is one guy who successful flshed the ICS nandroid backup to his device. This will persist your root.

Thanks, got the boot_new.img you've linked, but just to be safe (and because I'm confused by the OTA numbering) can you please post a link to the newest OTA I can grab the system_signed from and then use it for the update from recovery?
Also, should I temp unroot and then re-root with the rootkeeper as with the T-mo 4.0.4 OTA update? Is there other way to keep root?
BTW, I've seen you refer to the .26 fastboot (and saying it doesn't have the best radio for Germany where I am at the moment), but the latest leak I've seen mentioned in the other thread is Blur_Version.672.180.17.XT910.Retail.en.EU (Tue May 22 17:20:36 CST 2012). Is it the same build as .26?
Sorry, hit the Thanks Button in Tapatalk
The Radio seems to be better on this ICS. I was on 651.167.26 for an while and the Phone quality was not really good. Tested it today on the Leak and all seems to be fine now.
you need the system_signed from the 651.167.26 to flash the new Leak.
Flash the boot_new.img & the system_signed in AP Fastboot and after that boot in Moto Recovery and flash the Leak.
http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/motorola_razr_forum/249903-motorola_ics_leak_retail_22_05_2012_a.html
Maybe it helps..
YES YES I finished with flashing the new OTA update eu ICS: Blur_Version.651.167.26.XT910.Retail.en.EU
System version 672.180.17.XT910 on my phone.
This is what i do to solved my flashing problems:
1. Used Andriod SDK tool to flash boot_new.img
Command: fastboot flash boot boot_new.img
2. Flashed the SPDREM_U_01.6.5.1-167_SPU-15-M2-3_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot
with Kholks:
EternityProject's RSD Alternative for flashing OFFICIAL Motorola ROMs
Was some failure during the flashing, but system_signed was flashed. .
3. Then I try to install OTA update Blur_Version.651.167.26.XT910.Retail.en.EU directly but failed.
- Then I erased cashe, tried agian, but failed.
- At last I Wipe data and restore then install the update with succes.
I'M so Happy now.
Big big Thanks to HSD-Pilot, DTrail1, Whirleyes, and Spryte
It's a top forum, thanks to all.

[Q] RAZR brick without BMM

About me
- I from Argentina
- I have XT910 GSM
- Sorry for my bad English
- I have backup CID
- I have not installed the BMM
I have a problem, and I think it's pretty big! I have a RAZR Arg LATAM Claro it was working with the official rom 4.0.4, I followed the steps to install the ROM Jellywiz:
-dd if = / dev/block/mmcblk1p18 of = / sdcard / cid.img (I have it to backup)
fastboot flash mbm-allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin
-reboot-bootloader fastboot
cid-fastboot erase
fastboot flash boot-boot_jb.img
but I made the mistake of not installing the BMM, so now I start the original rom, and I can not carry him another since I have the Custom Recovery hence I can not restore the CID. Someone can give me a hand? Thank you!
Greetings!
If you guys want to go back to ICS, then
1. Flash the fastboot files using rsd lite Google it!
2. Reboot using bp tools
3. Root your device
Remember while rooting when the tool reboots your device press the vol- and vol at the same time when the phone switches off to enter in boot menu mode and reboot using bp tools mode, other wise u will see a black screen everytime u reboot.
4. Once done restore your cid using terminal emulator.
code: dd if=/sdcard/cid.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk1p18

The "unbricking" guide which I took form TheRazrGuy's thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2078021
After "unbricking" your phone and back to ics just follow the rom installing guide carefully!
This is the way always great to solve the problem
p.s: Sometime the phone can't root is because you missing the correct driver and has a bad adb connecting (broken usb port)

XT910(S) Need Help, Very Desperate

So i have 4 XT910S phones. I wanted to put a EU or US firmware on them so they were no longer branded and didnt have all these apps on them.
So here is what I did.
downloaded 4.0.4 CN firmware (unbranded)
Rooted and backed up CDROM file and CID file
Flashed the CN firmware on the XT910S
Using the BT TOOLS trick it boots up fine
Flased CID.IMG through command prompt in windows
Now when it boots it goes straight to fastboot with the error
Invalid CG OTV (CG: cdrom): Invalid SP data
Invalid CG HAB (CG: cdrom, status: 0X0056)
Invalid CG OTV (CG: cdrom)
I tried restoring my original CDROM file but it says the image is larger than the partition.
the original backup CDROM file is 217,088 KB and the one that i am finding with EVERY other firmware is 216,832 KB
I have even tried getting backups of all the CDROM files off the other phones and they are all the same size
The original firmware is 67.42.17.xt910s.skt.en.kr but I cannot find it anywhere to download
HELP
your cid is no longer valid because cid version of xt910s 4.0.4 is 4 and the rom you installed has CID 5
now to bypass boot you will have to boot from bp tools or install boot menu manager after rooting, thats what i am doing
and to get throught that boot failure error
follow this

Thanks for the help. I have to ask if there is any way to get it back to normal? I need to sell these phones sadly, not for keeping and personal use. So is there any way to flash back to CID 4? I have experience with hex programming if that helps (I cannot see how C++ or pearl would do any good here).

Your CID isn´t changed and you can´t change it,each phone has its own CID.
Your CDT.bin was changed to 5,china boot and system are signed with secure version 5.
You shouldn´t restore your CID,because you flashed China kernel, then the phone can´t work.
Your option now is to flash EU JB with RSD Lite. Here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42057363/RSDLite_v6.1.x.zip is RSD Lite 6.1.5 and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231289 are the JB Fastboot files.
still he need to root and install bmm otherwise his only option to boot is bp tools

Motorolla RAZR xt910s Problem
Dear All, I bought Motorolla RAZR xt910s a week ago. I tried installing Cyanogenmod 11 KitKat after rooting and installing CWM Recovery. Rom was successfully installed but the installation of G apps failed so i rebooted it.Now it shows the Motorolla logo screen and then goes black. Also i can enter the recovery menu by 3 key combination. i tried wiping data to factory settings and clearing cache but in vain. Today i tried flashing (using RSD Lite 5.6.4) a stock rom of ICS(4.0.4) and then JB (4.1.2) downloaded from a website but it shows error ''failed 6/12 flashing cdt.bin flash failed..............etc''. I have also tried using fast boot cable/factory cable but now it is giving the error of "read/write failed, unknown error" in moto fast boot and rsd lite software. How can i solve this problem of read write failed unknown error.
Please help on urgent basis... Waiting to hear from you people soon...
Have you tried matt's utility to restore stock ROM? See http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/764-gsm-xt910-razr-utility/
If successfully restored to stock then root using the utility, but do not install safe strap from the utility. You should then download and install the latest version of safestrap (version 3.65) and install it. See http://rootzwiki.com/topic/104161-recovery-locked-safestrap-recovery-v365-2013-11-13/
I've read that only safestrap works correctly with cm11. So, now use safestrap to install cm11 (and gapps if you wish) in slot 2 (I've read that cm11 works best in slot 2).

Lollipop OTA can't install on my stock T6ULA 3.23.1540.1 with stock recovery & locked

Lollipop OTA can't install on my stock T6ULA 3.23.1540.1 with stock recovery & locked
Hi,
I've recently received software update 4.13.1540.7 notification on my stock, rooted T6ULA 3.23.154.1 - (s-off)(locked bootloader)
I did a few steps before trying to install it :
- uninstalling "exposed installer", viper audio, busy box and everything that I thought it would be a mess with OTA process, completely.
- unlocking bootloader (scotty1223 method) & flashed stock recovery
- locking bootloader ( scotty1223 method)
- unrooting via superuser cleanup setting
- applying the update
But when my phone goes to recovery for installing it, the red triangle shows up after a minute.
I press V.up & P.button few times to see the hidden texts in recovery & realize that the process stopped at a line with an assert check error : system/build.prop has unexpected contents. operation failed ...
Does anyone know what else should i do to update my phone? or where was my mistake? If no, can anyone give me a link to ruu or any stock backup of this lollipop that is compatible with my phone? if no, Is there any method that switch off the "system update" notification pop up? It really bothers. we can stop it just for 4 hours..
Thanx a lot

Moto e (indian version) flashing error

So, here is the problem i am facing with my moto E
I followed the tutorials from this site and had flashed my MOTO E to stock ROM 3-4 times due to different reasons, i was successfully able to do that using the STOCK ROM that i had for android kitkat 4.4.4. Last month i updated my moto E to android lollipop. After that it kept asking me to install a 12MB update which i tried installing quite some times but was not able to install. It showed some error while installing the same. So, i started ignoring that. A couple of days ago i once again tried to install that update and after installing the update when the phone turned on, it logged on into FASTBOOT MENU saying:
hab check failed for boot
failed to validate boot image
Fastboot reason: Fall-through from normal boot mode
So, i thought Flashing it once again might solve the issue. When i tried flashing it, on the command screen it gives ERROR for 4 files i.e. boot.img, system.img_sparsechunk.0, system.img_sparsechunk.1, system.img_sparsechunk.2 saying::
<bootloader> invalid signed image
<bootloader> preflash validation failed
And on my phone screen it says "Invalid PIV signed image"
For all other instructions it says OKAY
Now it is again and again turning ON into this fastboot mode only...
Since i already had flashed my moto using the same custom rom , i think the files must be okay...
PLEASE HELP :'(
Why did you flashed 4.4.4 and then ota updated to 5.1 ? This process should've bricked your device in the first place.
Anyway 5.1 stock image files are available, did you tried flashing them? (fastboot mode)

sorry, i didn't knew that i shouldn't update my phone after installing the stock rom. No i haven't tried flashing my phone with android 5.1 stock file, i thought maybe flashing my phone with android 4.4.4 will downgrade my phone back to kitkat. Will try it now...will be helpful to me if you could get me a link for android 5.1 stock file as well, i tried finding the same, but it says for moto e2 which comes originally with lollipop but mine comes with android 4.4, its so confusing for me which stock file to download....
thanks for the help
