Beanstalk? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I've searched many times for a beanstalk port, but I have yet to see it or I've gone past it. If there isn't a port for it, would someone be willing to port it over, because the developer Scott has recently came back to the developing world and he really does a great job, and includes many features. He's currently working on 4.4.3 kit kat too.

Flash the beanstalk firmware for the i9100, then flash RenderBroken's kernel, then reboot to system. Maybe someone will port or build it in the future, but you don't have to wait.

That is the port for the i9100, but I am not completely sure any of Scott's new builds have reached that device yet.
I have a Samsung Infuse backup, and his new builds are up on it. The link to the infuse is here,

Anyways, thanks for porting.. Much appreciation!

Not sure about the infuse build... But i can definitely port the i9100 build... that is if my wife will relinquish the computer for a half hour. I'm not familiar with beanstalk and i wonder if the SlimSaber kernel from @cyril279 ‘s build would work. I've been very impressed with it. Also i could use a more up to date cm kernel. I could use renderbroken but there's been no updates to it since March and the stock kernels have improved quite a bit since then.

But whatever i use, I'll port it none the less and send you a download link.

Not sure what went wrong but i can't get past the setup wizard using renderbroken or SlimSaber kernel. Im going to try using a 4.4.3 cm kernel but it's going to have to wait until tomorrow night as I've got to get to bed. 5 am will be here fast.

The trick is, you've got to flash the ROM with the assert removed from the updater script, then flash the kernel, then boot the phone. After it boots, reboot into recovery and flash gaps. It gets you through the setup wizard without having to "do" the setup wizard.

You can always build the rom here it's source:
https://github.com/tdm/android_device_samsung_ypg1/tree/ics
First off, look around at the threads and actually read them instead of starting a new thread.
Second, this has no business in the dev section.
Really sorry when I posted in the threads for them it was ignored and I have read the other threads just find it hard to keep up with whats going on
Oh and can u point me to a tut for making custom roms? I want to give it a go.
Do i need ubuntu and the source ure pointing me to is that for yp-g1 or the samsung epic as it talks abiut the samsung epic.
And is the source gingerbread or ics?
Thanks

Yes. Collect all three.
Got a good build, more or less. It's better than last time -- at least audio works.
Still have issues with everything else though. Home button is acting like a select, wifi is not quite working, bluetooth won't turn on, and the camera won't connect. But progress is being made.

Unfortunately, I still haven't gotten much of the stuff working under CM9. All that really works right now is wifi and sound.

100% working Cm9!

It's almost that time! It seems that a 100% bug free version of Cm9 is eminent! I personally cannot wait. Can anyone that knows the status for sure give us that are waiting some updates as they come??? I know there are a few builds but I'm talking about straight cm9!

#1 rule of XDA: Don't ask for ETAs.
I would say CM9 is 98% complete. Lots of people are reporting Bluetooth not fully working. Give our awesome devs a hug and let them know you love them.
Just hang around until they get JB going.
Is hw excel working?I don't know..I ran sum of the standard benchmark test and saw huge decrease in speed,,plus it gave Me horrible signal.,and cramps
I haven't run a benchmark on this version, but I was getting in the 6k range on Antutu last version, which is the same as Sense.
And, yes, I'm going to hug Chad with more money.

I think you mean "imminent."
It looks like were close. Chad said he has fixed everything 100%, and everything just looks to be ROM specific.
I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for a 100% JB ROM, simply because I think it will be along very soon and I hate wiping / reflashing repeatedly. What's another month after all we've been waiting?
I might cave and go for one of the CM9 ROMs or AOKP if Meadows can get it 100%, mainly because it will be official and not a fork from the ROM source.
Chad is amazing, and if I didn't have a car payment, I would have sent a hefty donation his way. Once I get some financial things settled down, I may send him a couple hundred for all his hard and amazing work.

JB is not as far off as ICS was to GB. The updates are minimal for JB where ICS was a complete rework. Let's pretend you have a house named GingerBread. For ICS, we had to demolish that house and redo the foundation. Now, the house is just about move in ready. Once we've moved in, we can decide to do some remodeling which will take a little longer (JB). The framework is already in place, the devs just need to make a few changes here and there.

I don't know anything about this ROM specifically. I've built my own version of PA. I've been trying out pie and it's OK but it's nothing like having the nav bar down there. The nav bar is just so much easier and has more functionality than the pie controls. imho the tablet mode with PA is the way to go. It's much better than tablet mode with other ROMs like jellybeer. PA maintains the ability to customize the nav bar and status bar toggles while in tablet mode. Most other ROMs I've tried with tablet mode feature, when you are in tablet mode you lose any customization abilities.

[BootAnimation] for PAC-man (and others)

I've been running the PAC-man nightlies since release, but never really liked the boot animation. I'm also in the midst of teaching myself After Effects, so it seemed like a good way to get some practice. I think it came out pretty well, so here it is in case anybody might be interested.
Great job man! Keep goin! Im gonna have to get after effects and mess around with it too. You think you could post in here or pm me with any tutorials or anything that helped you if you have any. I appreciate it man.
Thanks! I actually got into an online course that was temporarily free via Reddit, which is what spurred me to pick up AE. I didn't use any remotely advanced techniques, though, so it'd probably all be covered in any basic tutorial. In terms of formatting it, though, I relied heavily on this post on XDA, as well as the supplied app for formatting the ZIP.

[Poll] What ROM is everyone currently using as their Daily Driver? 8/11/13

[Q] What ROM do you guys use as your Daily Driver?
Give your reasons.
List length of time on current ROM.
Provide the hyperlink to the explanation/download page of the listed ROM.
As of 8/11/13:
This POLL is created from theidoctor's list here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297370
It may not not include all options out there for our Verizon S4's but it should include the most used and most stable. If your ROM that you use as your Daily Driver isn't listed make a comment and explain why you use it.
This POLL is not to show "Best ROM" it is solely for the purpose of showing "Most Used". This helps show newbies what ROMs are popular and what they should start with. It says to newbies that this or that ROM has been "tried and true" by the masses and should hold up for my demands...
Please Vote and then add your Reply to the Thread also.

In that case I have tried many roms but only use Eclipse TW based as my daily driver. IMO it is extremely stable and looks great with the aosp mix. Also its the only TW based rom with the AOSP toggles. No other TW based rom has that. Nitro is a genious and works extermely hard to make us all happy. This is the only rom that makes me forget that it is TW based

Thanks! Wasn't trying to be a smart a$$ was just curious what was different.

Hmmmm.... I tried one of his earlier builds and even though it was AOSP flavored, I didn't like it as much as Hyperdrive. I really do hate TW.

I would give it another try if I was you. It has gone a long way since the earlier build.

Bonestock has been amazing so far. Stock > ktoonsez kernel for me in terms of battery life. Only lacking an AOSP theme, but for a fairly new ROM, this is great, and the future is bright for the ROM, and Andy is great. ME7 gets rid of most of the bugs in MDK.
Moved from Beans after I realized we wont see Build 6 anytime soon.

I think all developers are pretty frustrated with the ME7 update.
I understand their frustration

Ditto, up to the 8-16 nightly! Works perfectly, no issues.
Bonestock for stability and a clean slate to add my own selection of mods.
