Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has been able to download the full firmware of nf6 for this phone from sammobile okay?
I have downloaded it twice now and when I go to use it, it tells me it is corrupt.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks. I will give that one a shot.

Hi
So here is the situation. When my wife's phone was on 4.0.x I rooted it using Odin and CF-root. No problem, peace of cake and she could use market unlocker to change the market to show her the Japanese content instead of the Hong Kong content. She very happy. Then there came the Jelly Bean OTA update ... Update went well, but she lost root and i did not have rooted her phone again ...
Now there seems to be another OTA update but it refuses to install because the update software says the phone is "Modified" and then quits the update process.
So my guess is i need to download to complete 4.1.1 firmware package to update her phone using Odin and do a complete wipe of all data on the phone (excluding her MicroSD card), in the hope that will make her phone in a "original state" again. Am I right?
So i downloaded the firmware package called I9300ZSDLK4_I9300OZSDLK4_TGY.zip from the Sammobile website. But after extracting this zip file i see a file with the name "KIES_HOME_I9300ZSDLK4_I9300OZSDLK4_500022_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5"
Can i still use this file in Odin to overwrite the firmware on her phone? Or do I have to use some tricks with Kies to tell it to use this file to write to her phone? Please advice on the steps i need to follow to put her phone in a state it will accept OTA updates again.
Thank you
I think you can flash her phone using Odin, and the content in internal storage will not lost except the system files, unless you do a factory reset
And you can enter recovery to do a full wipe before flashing, to avoid some unknown issue
Did you download the zip file from hotfile? If not, would you please tell me the link? As a China mainland user, I can't download files in hotfile.com...
Thank you
Thanks for your reply, I indeed were send from the sammobile website to download the file from hotfile. I will put it on dropbox for a while.
btw i installed it by the use of Odin and it worked very well. The status is now "Normal again" and the OTA updater doesn't complain about any modification. Know that this I downloaded for the Hong Kong version of the I9300 Samsung Galaxy S3.

Thank you very much
I had install ZSDLK2 version, which has some issues, so I want to update to a new verison
I tried the CASUAL jailbreak, but it failed near the end. Now, when I try to boot it says I have unauthorized software, contact Verizon. My phone was on the latest OTA, so I tried downloading the "Alternate Restore File" but 7 zip can't extract it. I've tried 3 times and it keeps telling me it's not a valid archive. I downloaded the Root66 image and it extracts fine, but when I flashed it in Odin it looked like it was going to work, but when Odin finished, the phone went back to the "unauthorized software, take to a Verizon store screen".
Can anyone please help asap? I really need my phone tomorrow. Thanks.

Ok, I just tried the Root66 stock image via Odin again and it worked. From here, can I try CASUAL again or am I not supposed to be rooted to use CASUAL?
Nevermind. I was able to get CASUAL to work finally.
glad you got it figured out! not sure why the alternate restore would not extract for you...maybe try a different program such as winrar.
So my attempts to return my phone back to unrooted condition (odin stock rom back in) so I can OTA update from Jellybean to KitKat failed. I now tripped knox (I suppose who cares right?) and the rom wouldn't install and discovered I had to reinstall a PIT file to be able to boot again. I don't think I have a stock one because now when I try to OTA update it tells me it can't because it's been tampered with. Does anyone have the stock Sprint Note 3 PIT file for Android 4.3? I'm hoping after putting a stock PIT in there the OTA update will work? Or is it because I'm rooted?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I did do a search didn't find any stock PIT files on this forum. If I missed the thread apologies.
Just tried factory reset, no go =(.

Odin stock tar, factory data reset, take the ota or download the nc5d update zip and flash in stock recovery, if thats what you are after. Then root. ota wont take if system status is custom.

Thank you sir. Actually turns out I was loading the wrong stock ROM. The right one was here:

Hopefully this helps someone else out that stumbles on to this. If you appear to have bricked your phone with the wrong ROM just reflash the PIT then try this one (I was Sprint Note 3 Android version 4.3).
I'm in the middle of an OTA update now =).
So, I'm trying to fix an AT&T Samsung Mega SGH-I527. The person I am trying to fix it for had bought it rooted, then recently tried to install an update (I'm guessing the NE7 update) and it threw his phone into a bootloop. If I attempt to go into Recovery, it says: "Secure fail: Kernel. System software not authorized by AT&T has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest AT&T store for help."
I can still enter download mode.
I've tried repartitioning it with the PIT file and flashing a MK2 tar through Odin, however, that fails every time.
I have tried searching for an NE7 tar file, but with no luck.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this phone up and running?
Thanks in advance!
check out my thread in like a hour or so. Im uploading the odin package for kitkat 4.4.2.

Go into the General forum, apparently there is a person by the name of SUNDERWER who has come up with an Odin flashable file.
Go check it out
Good luck. I beleive you needed to unroot first before updating via OTA, but your not the first to have this problem.

Alright so I was on MDK Hyperdrive and I used ODIN to return to complete stock MDK. I want to set this straight. I dont care about rooting or unlocked bootloader. I just want to get to the newest Verizon firmware. I want my phone to be as if I just picked it up from the Verizon store.
Anyways I downloaded the software update and ran it but if failed. Why? I don't know. Does anyone know how I can just get to complete stock and then update to newest firmware?
This is ridiculous...no reason why this update shouldn't work...just keeps failing. Maybe it is a kernel issue? IDK
