I have Root Explorer installed on my phone, but I get file not supported on this device error messages when I try to download zip files. Any idea why I can't do this with this files manager but I can with other file managers?

Maybe its not a supported feature? Astro and Linda have the ability. .. or maybe there is an option to enable it?

It has the ability to create and extract zip files, but I didn't know if it was a matter of having to create an extension or whatever to allow the phone to download zip files. I am using AndroZip until then.
For example, I want to extract, say, movie studio and convert it to an apk that I can use in another rom. Does ne1 know how to do this?

if you want to extract the apk file from your tab, then you need to be rooted. if so then you can copy files from /system/app/ folder to sd card using File Manager HD or any other file manager which has root access.

^ This. If the apk is dependent on a framework, be sure to include it in a ROM that has the framework it needs.
When i use file manager or es file explorer all folders have nothing in them yet when i use my pc all the files are there. and if i look in gallary all my pics are there but i cant see them when using a file veiwer, other than my pc.
Hi friends this post is to show you how to send whatever file you want in whatsapp without using any third party app
Things required :
1) ES file explorer
2) Whatsapp
3) A small mp3 file(less than 100 KB will be effective)
First put the file (any file ...) You want in a folder along with the mp3 file...
Then compress it in ES file explorer in store mode
Then Rename the extension of the .zip file into .mp3
Then Send it using whatsapp
Ohhh don't run.....wait ....next comes the most important step....
You need to know how to unpact the file if you receive the same file from someone ..right???
So now go to Whatsapp folder in your SD card and goto media-->audio-->received
(The recently received file will be the last file in the folder)
Rename the received file's extension again to .zip and then extract the files to the required destination .....
Thats it .....:good:

Hello,
I am using Solid Explorer and can't figure out where does it store temporary file when I access file inside archived .RAR file without extracting it first. Anyone can tell me?
The temporary file still remains after I close the archive and I need it to be removed.
Thanks.

Maybe under android/data or root/data/data

I was told it's in Solid Explorer's folder located in /android/data/ and it was there.
