I've ordered from them before, yes.
Never an electronic item though, just the occasional case. They seem alright, plus you can get a free microfibre cloth if you use a certain voucher code (I forget what).
Ordered mine straight away, as the pre-orders I saw in The Netherlands were €300,- (Total Bull**** right?)

Ordered yesterday at about 16:30 for delivery before 1pm today and here I sit...counting my steps and replying to texts cos there's not a lot else you can do with it yet......lol
MobileFun attach a letter to the box explaining that you shouldn't get it until the 7th because it won't be fully functional until then but they want you to have it early so you're ready to go etc.

Looks like they accept orders willy-nilly and not on quantity actually in stock at the time of ordering. I very cleverly cancelled my Play Store order already, so it's maybe someones way of telling me to wait for the 360
edit: product page says due back in stock in 2 days time.

Then their security team apparently weren't happy with my address I gave them; they said they tried to call me yesterday to confirm my address.

Customer service asked if I wanted to verify my address...
By now, the watch is out of stock. Despite me ordering within minutes of them announcing it.

^I hear you. I've just sent them my "thoughts" on the matter. That said, I've had a good few things from them in the past with now bother so I'm cutting them some slack. Their stock level calculations are obviously not to be trusted so I'll certainly think twice about ordering from them again.

Same here, cancelled my order. pre-ordered it from a shop in The Netherlands.
Selling a device saying it will be dispatched immidiatly and then say "oh its out of stock". not too impressed with that.
(As a web developer, I also find it a weird way of doing it. A proper system would be a count behind the article and every time someone purchases it the count goes count -1. till the point it has to say its out of stock.)

Really odd, ordered mine at 11:45 today and my status is packing ready for dispatch. Holding my breath now to see whether mine gets pulled. Maybe LG have leaned on them for delivering early.

It's not your fault so don't you worry. It did lead me to just cancel the order completely and take my money (which they still have!) elsewhere. I'll not be ordering from them again!
Well, yep my order also went south. Made my feelings known to them as well.
I think I will wait until next week now, see the first full reviews, make a decision then.

Hi guys, I though it would be a good idea to start a threat just for everyone who placed an order through Play.com UK and paid full price.
We can use this thread to keep everyone updated on the progress of their ordered, and any updates etc; whether they are able to get it at the discounted price, full refund, partial refund etc.
I ordered a 16GB this morning at 8:30am, and order was confimed at 2:44pm and sent to packing for delivery.
Price - £349
ordered at about 5am this morning
order confirmed at 05:57
packed at about 4pm this afternoon
16GB @ £349
Mailed them asking to cancel and advised I will source elsewhere for a much cheaper price... (I imagine its too late though)
Looks like Play.com are out of stock now. I can't find the HP touchpad 16/32gb anywhere on their site. It was there a few hours ago.
I'm also waiting on a Touchpad from play.com which I bought at full price earlier today.
My gut instinct having dealt with Play earlier on similiar issues is that we'll all be returning our TP's for a full refund

I'd recommend not cancelling your order just yet.
you'll be in a better position to negotiate with them once you have the product.
If you cancel before they despatch it, they won't lose anything, they'll just send it to someone else who was able to place an order.
Once you've got it, hopefully we'll be in a better position a few days after all this commotion, and they may be willing to refund the difference.
otherwise they have to go through the hassle or receiving product back, and then arranging to sell it on - probably at the reduced price.
I'm going to wait to see if mine actually comes through, then assess the situation then.
If they don't openly offer the refund, I'll put a complaint to them, and to the FSA.
their returns policy gives you 7 days to request the return or raise an issue - this is different to 7 days to actually return the item to them.
The complaint etc could last as long as you want, as long as you raise the issue within 7 days.
we should have a strong argument if we refer them to the fact they were aware on Monday that the supplier had significantly reduced the price, and that a large number of supplier not just in UK, but all across the world had reduced their prices to fall in line, and they are being unfair against the consumer by acting this way.
We could also quote things we can get - regarding their comments on Monday evening that they were aware of the price discount and were working on it, yet they chose to do nothing.

In the US - HP have agreed to refund customers the difference of all ordered purchased within 60 days of the price change.
HP are also 'leaning' on companies to offer the price match themselves.
So if Play.com don't crumble under the pressure over the next few days - maybe there is hope from HP directly.

HP apparantly informed retailers on Monday that the prices will be reduced, and requested that all retailers offer to refund the difference in the sale price.
HP also advise that it can take a few days for all retailers to act on this.
called play.com in the end and they said it was too late to stop dispatch anyway (wanted to save myself a couple of £ in postage to be honest) - they have sent me my return code and marked it as potential return
so i still have to wait for it anyway...
but the chap I spoke to I did would they not do a price comparison, or are they even considering lowering the price but he said nope. Full refund or keep at full price basically.
@danlat1415 - do you have any of that information or anyway to process that with HP as I'll consider keeping it if thats the case! I wonder if we can ping an e-mail to HP pronto to try and get some clarification from them that we can apply for refunds if the retailer won't honour it...
If I was HP and I'd told everyone to cut the price on Monday, and found out retailers were basically ignoring them (probably to pocket the profits) I'd be a bit peeved -

I'm looking into what HP are doing for UK customers and I'll keep you updated.
It's still very early, and once order are sent out and customers start complaining in large numbers - they may change their mind.
Also depends on what action HP take over the next few days.
Play.com don't want to get bad publicity, and if all other retailers are honouring the price change, it'll be bad for Play.com to try and profit from the limited stock they have - compare to the bad publicity they'll get.

I got the impression of a very non-caring company when I called them up - to be honest, I had a good impression of them before - but only used them a handful of times... I guess its because I never had to _deal_ with them properly before and just did an order which came and had no issues...

i also wonder though is it worth putting in a 'request to return' with play for everyone's who order has dispatched ? its too late to cancel, but if they have a _lot_ of requests to return and the main reason being the stupid prices... ?

As far as I know, Argos and Play.com were the only two retailers that hadn't yet offered the lower price (whether it be for a limited time, like Amazon)
But Argos has this morning now caved in and reduced their prices to £89 and £115.
This will hopefully help in the fight against Play.com
they are now the only hightreet retailer trying to greatly profit from this sale.
I'm waiting for an update from HP and I'll let you know. Waiting to hear back from their press office.
So far they have only confirmed that they'll refund direct customers, and credit the retailers.
Just waiting to find out if their credit customers of retailers who are refusing to refund the difference.
(if the retailer are being credited by HP, then they are severely taking advantage of the customer.)
As more developments happen each day, hopefully by the time the Touchpads arrive it'll all either be sorted or a lot clearer.

Card payment had gone through so I wonder what they're playing at

Thank for the update.
I too have got an email this morning confirming my order has been despatched via DHL and I've got a tracking number.
expect it to take upto 5 working days to be delivered, then I have 7 days for receipt to inform them if I wish to return for full refund.
That's approx 8-13 days to get this resolved and to put pressure on Play.com

I just got off the phone with these liars. I told him the order page is back to saying 2-3 days, he apologized for the misinformation said it'd be about 1-2 weeks.
Think I'm going to find another source and cancel on these vermin.
As far as I can tell no merchant has them in-stock right now so it's really ASUS who's slow on the delivery of these. They obviously weren't shipping keyboards in conjunction with the tablets.

Fwiw, I ordered Thursday, immediately after seeing the "in stock" thread. That is likely the difference. I do not understand this manager saying it is not there though, uless he meant that it is coming in today, and the OP's place in line didn't make the cut for place in line versus items received. The swearing probably didn't help either, even though I fully empathize on the frustration level. :-\

Just got the email too.
Don't know where to go from here. No body had any in-stock last I checked. Gamestop had no date, and neither did Amazon.
Like a few others, I ordered late Thurs night when the status was "available ". My credit card was charged Friday, I was notified it was "in process" for 1-3 days, now today my status shows "shipped to warehouse ". I am confident in will get mine in a day or two. Am I pleased I paid $40 for express shipping and it's going to take 4 or 5 business days? No. But I think did not read where it clearly states it cn take 1-3 days to process so that is on me.

What is the status of your order, was your cc charged, did/does it show as shipped to warehouse?
I bought my pad off of newegg.com last thursday. They have been showing up periodically, only when they actually have stock availible. In most states they don't charge sales tax and they ship very quick. I'm seeing only the grey docking station listed on their site at the moment but it is out of stock. All you can do is keep checking periodically as they will show up but sell really fast. But at least if you see it's in stock and buy it, you'll get it. This is one of the most reputable sites on the net.

don't cancel, you probably are going to get it.
I never seen the "shipped to warehouse" status, I only got "In Process" when I ordered.
I'm not canceling mine either despite receiving the two emails that they oversold. In part because he still gave an end time of when they will get more in, while the other online retailer don't provide any info when they will get more in.

perhaps us over here in Blighty are not so hard done by after all!! Whilst we are yet to get the TFP we will get it with the dock and our retailers do not normally tale 2-3 days to process an order as we can order of some sites up until 8-10pm and still get next day delivery.

I've received no shipping email from Sprint. My order status says "in progress".
I called Sprint and they said my phone just says it's "back-ordered".
Let's cry on each others' shoulders.

2.) Warehouse workers collapsed from exhaustion yesterday evening and not all phones were shipped out together. They'll ship today and we'll have them tomorrow.

I got that email the first day of the pre-orders, because they needed to get some more information from me in order to port my number over from T-Mobile. For the duration of the pre-sale I had no order status and Gordon Ramsays method to see order details showed my phone as back ordered. I got various answers from Sprint's CSRs, but most indicated that my order was processing normally (I was pretty worried that something was screwed up with my order since I know better than to trust those guys). I got the MY UPS notification yesterday, and my order status finally updated with a tracking number and changed from back order to "in progress." Phone was delivered about an hour ago.
Just got off the phone with UPS, they said even though the website did now show my package was out for delivery, she confirmed it was placed on the truck this morning and is indeed out for delivery!!!! Going outside to wait now! LOL

i ordered mine the 15th, just an hour before they shut off the pre-order part and got mine today at 350pm
I got that also, I even had an e-mail at one point from the "My UPS" thing showing that it would arrive between 3:30 and 7 today, but it then showed it as delivered to Kentucky yesterday (it had my address to begin with)
same thing for me too. nothing on my end either. they changed my info too.
The worst part of all though is that I have no idea what is going on. Even people who ordered from best buy are getting their phones first and here we are without any idea what is going on. If I at least knew if it was coming tomorrow I can plan for it (I don't want it sitting on the porch all day for someone to walk off with), but as it is, I don't know what to do!
I think the effects of the customs thing is still screwing things up. Sprint believed they had enough phones to meet initial pre-order demand but they don't. Best buy stores aren't getting enough for their pre-orders. Wirefly and amazon, who knows?
We still haven't heard anything about a national launch date probably because they don't have enough stock to give corporate stores and partners. Customs is clearing shipments probably by the pallet and that's how slowly Sprint is receiving them.
We could see another gap of a week or two if customs is the hold-up again.

Called my local store and they have confirmed they do not have any g3s nor have any information on their arrival. I would just go to a Verizon store but I have a 50 dollar gift card that I can apply towards the G3!.

I didn't get an email today either but I went into Best Buy this afternoon anyways. I just handed the guy my pre-order paperwork and said "I'm here to pick up and activate my Verizon G3". The guy said "oh I think they're still in the back, they just came off the truck". Sure enough, he came back with it and I'm typing this on it now. I'm not sure if they weren't sopposed to give it to me or not but I figured I'd give it a shot. I still haven't gotten the email from Best Buy either. You might get lucky if you go in and just act like you got the email. Good luck!

Interesting. Maybe their just a little late getting to California stores....
The Best Buy stores in my area received them today (the 17th). We received the AT&T and Sprint ones a little ahead of the release but the Verizon ones we recieved day of. Give it a day or so and they will have them if they don't already. I don't know how the email system works, but it might indeed be worth it to walk in and ask.
Seems like the bigger city stores got them but not the smaller cities. I called my local store, Ames, IA and they said Des moines had some but theirs were still on order.

Interesting. It doesn't look like everyone has received these emails. When did you place your order? Mine was first thing in the morning on 7/11 and AFAIK they didn't have the pre-order available on 7/10 like VZW, so I'm fairly confident I'm one of the first folks that pre-ordered. A rep I spoke with did confirm that they're going to ship in the order in which the orders were placed, so maybe there's some sort of issue where they realized they don't have enough stock to cover all pre-orders and are send emails to folks who ordered after some cutoff time? Another possible thought might be that if you pre-ordered and had one of the expedited shipping options (i.e. your expected delivery was yesterday or today) and they knew they weren't going to meet the estimated time they sent the email?
All speculation of course hinging on my hope that I might see a new phone in the next 4 weeks.

Look like store availability is running on the site. Might what to check your location.
I think they are all screwed up over there. Has anyone tried to order and have the phone shipped to home? I keep getting that the shipping option is not available on the Verizon model. I went into the store yesterday and ask about Shipping and they said that this phone would have to be activated in the store.
Getting absolutely nowhere with BB support. Judging by the twitter conversation I had with them, it doesn't look like they've started shipping any devices at all, with no estimate on when they'll start.
Since we're all on here twiddling our thumbs until they give us something to chew on, anyone care to share when they pre-ordered and whether they've received a delay email?

You may want to check with your local Best Buy because I just checked a little bit ago on the website and it shows that my small local Best Buy has them now. It showed that they weren't available this morning.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at Best Buy for thinking that's correct and laughing at that employee for having to make that phone call. They are just asking for it.
I just went into my local best buy and they didn't even know they had them in the storage shelves right behind them. I had to tell the guy the phone came out yesterday and then he checked for it. I didn't get to use the $50 upgrade promotion but they did let me use the $50 towards accessories like a screen protector, case, and audio aux cable. Loving the phone so far.
Had a pre order with Amazon.got an email this morning saying delay this delay that sorry wah wah. Cancelled order went on best buy website. Paid for replacement device(full price) got my your pickup is ready email. Typing from my amazing g3. Best buy chick was on top of it. Even have ne me the option for her to activate it or me at home. I said. Me (duh). Popped SIM in as soon as I was in the car. The rest is history. I did pay more at best buy but I call it a(I want my device now) fee.

Amazon, UDP, $400 Activation Fee
Wonder if you go with Amazon and perform sim swap trick to maintain UDP, would you be hit with the $400 fee for not activating it Amazon's way? Given the delays with BB, I'm almost tempted to take a shot with Amazon but wouldn't necessarily want to get hit with an extra $400 for not following their directions. Any experiences buying phones off Amazon but maintaining UDP with sim trick?
Went to best buy and upgraded with Verizon edge and they gave me a 100$ gift card. They had a 24 inch 1080p TV for 120. So I got the TV for 30$ put the door ..glad I upgraded

I ordered two phones, one for my wife and one for myself. Fedex delivered one package today with one phone. Both packages were scanned in to the local drop center at 5:11am this morning. One was scanned onto a truck at 9:30 and the other one has no activity at all. They have no idea where the other package is. And it being Saturday evening, they said that they're unlikely to get it figured out until sometime on Monday morning.
I was so looking forward to getting the phone and setting it up tonight.

I never thought of that. Fortunately it was never delivered, so it's not my responsibility. They are saying that it'll probably come on Tuesday. We'll see if that happens.
But you do bring up a good point. I should probably contact Best Buy and let them know what's going on. If it was stolen, it's their problem. Well, theirs and Fedex.

He even showed me his package sheet showing only one package.
they are getting slicker and slicker on covering their tracks...lol but seriously, it might just end up finding it's way to you next business day. If not, fault is on them. Once it's on your country's soil, they cant call foul play on loss/theft and deny responsibility. they acctualy had it in their depot. U'll either get a refund or a new one i would think. You just need to harass the shipper now.

I've been harassing them non-stop for most of the day. They told me on the phone that they only deliver Tuesday through Saturday for this type of Fedex delivery. So the next chance that I have to get it is Tuesday afternoon. If it's not delivered by then, then the harassing starts again.
Hope i wont go through this my self. But then again,i payed mine with paypal so usually they are the muscle.
Since its the international variant, im reading up on how i can change the csc to a canadian variant although i cant flash the rom since obviously its exynos vs snapdragon.
trying to keep busy while waiting for it to ship....
also ordered a couple cases and screen protectors to test out. its very hard to pick only one of each and be satisfied with the results. theres always some weird fitting issue or simply trash quality that makes the device feel sub pare.

What if your wife is just setting up a prank with the Fedex guy, to then have Aston Kutcher jump out the bushes and your being featured on his 1st episode to his comback of "Prank'd" but before Aston uploads it to MTV your wife uploads it to YouTube and it gets millions of views bringing in revenue and being able to pay off both phones with the YouTube money and win a chance to see the Note 9 google edition prototype running android Oreo at the Samsung Lab.

They didn't lose it I think. Same thing happened to me. Th3y said they couldn't find it, but found out it was locked away in some container and it was delivered the following Monday. Just wait for it is all I can say

Why would they not deliver the package on Monday? That doesn't make sense to me, express delivery should happen any business day of the week. Maybe that's why mine says delivery Tuesday even though it's in the local sort facility already.

The guy that I talked to at FedEx called it "FedEx Home Delivery", and said it only runs between Tuesday and Saturday. It's probably the cheapest way that they could find to deliver it.
Interesting, FedEx Home Delivery is listed as Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m

Same thing happened to me. Supposed to be overnighted to me last Thursday. Arrived is Memphis depot, from there, nobody knows where it is. I asked them how is that possible, that's their core business, shipping and being able to track the shipments. Anyway, I told them to send it back when/if they find it. Fedex is crap!!
Don't feel like you're alone. Fedex has lost my Note 5 I sent in as my trade in. I have verified it was picked up by the driver, but has since disappeared, there's not even any tracking information. Fedex is supposedly researching, but I don't expect it to be found. That puts me out a phone, plus the $425 trade in credit with Samsung. Soooo pissed right now....
kind the same happened to my friend Note 8, he had it hold at UPS location for pickup but when he show up to pick up the phone, they can not locate it.
