I try to reinstall it and wipe data/cache but it doesnt work for me. I try to remove the Xperia with Facebook on the Settings/Accounts and it works now.

I'm using MonxDIFIED ROM with latest Facebook app, I didn't even setup Xperia with Facebook this time and still get the issue, I had one video yesterday refused to play right from the start. This is terribly annoying.
Still have the same problem. Soooo annoying. Hope Sony or Facebook put out a new update soon.

This action solves the problem for few minutes. and then again same.
Looks like there is a conflict between FB app and Xperia framework. Sony has to address this issue.
I fixed this issue by uninstalling Facebook and all the xperia Facebook crap then reinstalling Facebook from play store. Seems to have fixed the issue. I just played a few videos including ones that previously errored out. Might be an issue with the Facebook app shipped with the Z2.

Deleting timescape on 2.1 yet?
I deleted lots of stuff on 1.6 which I thought I would never use. No problems, however this time I deleted stuff and I couldn't scan for WIFI networks and i kept getting the calender force close error.
So i'm wondering, what have people deleted?
i've deleted pretty much everything i don't use including timescape..
have backups on titatnium though..
ive deleted timescape too without problems, also deleted roadsync, wisepilot, all the games, facebook, gmail, google talk, notes, stopwatch, timer, all the setup wizards and manual, many more, my phone still works fine camera still works, wifi, bluetooth everything

i only removed Talk.apk though, you get problems when removing gtalkservice.apk
Get mail at right moment is kinda important to my job:
I'm with this gmail (newest version): it's about a month, and it's not auto check, even when I open the app and refresh my self, it only get new mail at second or third try. I tried uninstall and reinstall, turn off and on syncing, restart, move in system app and back out, internal, link2sd, everything I can think of, it still not working. I check my sync setting and it's always hours since last sync.
My play store have similar problem too: if I install app from pc browser, I will need to open play store app before it start download and install.
Shoud I flash the rom again? Or sync setting get interrupted by something or google server have problem with my region?
The new Gmail has a bug on ics as I read in play store. Try download older version and replace Gmail.apk in system/app set right permission. Btw I use pac rom with justunbean inverted gapps (Gmail 4.2.1 inside) and I have no problem with sync time. Sometimes my phone notify me earlier as my pc.

UPDATE: roll back to the version come with rom kinda fixed it, still much much slower than the app tab of firefox
The Vending.apk auto update itself as soon as I replaced it in adb, I dont mind open store every time installing something from pc that much, so I will let is slide.
UPDATE2: look like it's just temporary fix, It's been over 10 mins since the last new email and the app still not get any notification at all. I got one right away notification 20 mins ago, but that's all it take.

Are you sure, that after replacing the gmail.apk the play store doesn't updated it to newest version?
Which rom do you use? It is ICS or JB? Maybe you should use modded gmail and/or playstore. (the modded one doesn't display in "my installed apps" in play store, so the store don't update it automatic. And i have v3.10.9 play store and this don't updates himself too)
Have you checked emails (maybe you have other email adress too) with simple email set to sync time to 5 min? This works? Or it has sync fault too? If this has a fault too, than it can be your carrier problem.
One more question: do you have lot of apps running/syncing (weather, rrs, email, gmail, facebook, twitter app/widgets)

Got a new Tablet Z for Christmas and I love it so far.
The only issue I'm getting is that Facebook with Xperia isn't working. When I click to set it up from settings, it loads the general message saying the tablet will need access to things. Then when I click ok, it closes down and returns to the last screen. Facebook works fine, just the Facebook with Xperia that doesn't (its more the Facebook pictures in the album app that I want)
Tried this a few times with the same result. Did a factory reset, and also updated to 4.3.3 today. Have also tried stopping some of the services and clearing their cache, but no luck. Had a Google and searched the forums but couldn't find anything.
Any one got any Ideas?

With the Z2 Sony have included free movies and MJ album, I was able to get the movies by logging in using the phone login option however for the MJ album I need to log in using the Sony Entertainment login which when I select says "signing in" which then disappears but the loading circle remains around Sony Entertainment and the album never downloads.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Are you using any CustomROM or de-bloated roms? If so you might have to install SONY Account Manager from Google Play Store.
If it's already installed and doesn't work, you might have to try to erase a cache.

Hi. No custom ROM its generic uk. Already have the Sony account manager installed. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Sony software including the account manager and the lounge app but no change. I can log in to the movies and music apps fine too.
Did you make account in UK? For example I bought XZ2 in Aus w/ MJ album. But I made account in Japan, so I can't download it. Or Have you unlocked bl? It might do something with medias.

I had the same problem when i tried to login to my SEN account in the lounge, it would just keep spinning after the popup saying logging in went away.
What I did was login to lounge with my google account, and then went to the MJ section and clicked download on the first track then a popup said i need to use my SEN account so i clicked OK, the log in popped up and went away after, and then i was able to click download again and it started working (i got an error the first time i clicked download so i clicked it again and it worked no problems.
See if that helps..

My Z4 tablet is working great except for the play store. When I start play store I get a header that shows: "Play Store | Work" and "No results found." in the main view. In the menu on the left hand side I have "Store home" (which brings me to the "work home" (and no results). I have "My work apps" (that lists all my installed apps) and then the regular alternatives: "My wishlist", "My account", "Redeem", "Settings" ... etc
Under "My account" i see my purchases on my private account (a gmail acc) and I see the purchases I've made from my phone (a Nexus 6) where the play store works normally. So the play store account is the same but why do my Xperia Z4 Tablet think that I'm in "work mode"?

You guys don't happen to have a google apps account as your main google account on the device?
That's what I have, so I'm wondering if that might be the cause of this.
An update: I reset my tab and activated nothing but my Google Account on startup.
Skipped anything Sony/Xperia related.
Everything seems to be working normally now

I have this issue on my Xperia Z3+. Using google apps account with my own domain.
Stop Playstore, clear its data
This helped me:
I went to settings / apps
searched for "PlayStore" app
went into the properties tag
stopped it and cleared the data
voilà
I'm having the same problem on my Z4 tab.
Unfortunately stopping and clearing data of the Play Store didn't fix it.

try recreating your google account on the device

Same issue here on a Sony xperia z4 tablet. Play store is in "work" mode. I tried cleaning up all the app data but it didn't help. I'm looking to disconnect and reconnect my Google account but, oddly enough, I can't find the way to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Ps. I also use a Gmail account from my actual work on the same device (imap), maybe this is causing the issue? The correct account appears in the play store app though...
EDIT: Uninstalling the updates for the Play Store did the trick. It got back to the factory app and it's working again.

I had this problem, too. But the firmware update, which may not have made it to all markets yet, seems to have fixed it. I updated the firmware on Friday and have not had this issue since.

I see on the Sony website they are rolling out 28.0.A.8.251 and I'm still on 28.0.A.7.24 so hopefully this update will arrive for me soon and fix it. Thanks for the feedback
28.0.A.8.251 installed today, cleared the Play Store app data and cache and it seems OK at the moment
I also have the problem.it was OK some time after removing the Google account,then it reappeared. After updating to the latest firmware it was OK again and now it's another time back to work mode. This is really annoying and removing the Google account or clearing play data all the time really isn't an option.
Had this 'problem', too. But after updating to 28.0.A.8.251 it solved itself. But btw. what's the problem with workmode? I couldn't recognize any restrictions so far, so why not just simply ignore it?
