Hi, I had that same error too, .... and now I have a soft bricked phone.
I've tried to convert to EU international http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2356401 and had the same error , so I was looking for all the posts, I've tried using revone, rumrunner (ask for root that I didn't had) and never worked. Finally I got the CID to HTC__001 doing the next.
First I had to unblock de m7 through htcdev
Then installing the drivers I could push the recovery tool TWRP in adb mode
Through TWRP could install ROOT
Now finally I was able to use rumrunner and get S-Off
Then following the steps I did
"fastboot oem writemid PN0710000 **Should receive success message
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001 **Should receive success message
Code:
fastboot getvar all
You should now see that your CID, MID and Main-Version have changed to as follows:
Code:
version-main: ATT: 1.26.502.12 / Rogers: Will add soon
modelid: PN0710000
cidnum: HTC__001 "
Everything good, now I'm stucked here, I can't flash anything, Im dowloading RRU executable firmwares, cause I cannot do anything else, I have the access to the recovery tool, but nothing else, I can't send files through adb sideload.
I have downloaded RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_HTC_Europe_4.19.401.9_R_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.exe and when I tried to run the process fails and nothing happens, Doing it on my laptop with the same file I have no fastboot connection (unknow usb device enumeration error) but the executable file works,
So I'm going to sleep crying specting tomorrow will be better, if you dont have all the files don't mess with your phone!
Soo bad.. not work for me..
I need help
Somebody help me please

I'm on 1.49.0012 aswell and have done abit of research and checked the 1.49.007 HBOOT with a hex editor and found where it does the version check.
Only issue is I've read its not as simple as just changing the code as any small change could potentially leave you with a bricked device. Whilst these theory's are good and could potentially lead to a downgrade, they could also potentially lead to bricked devices so probably best we leave it to a developer.
do it urself is enjoy . Only an ideal .~
This worked for the Evo 4G
testing it now to see if it works....hopefully
edit: it did not work

Hi all,
HTC Wildfire S. UK T-Mobile. New today. GSM.
Unlocking the bootloader was nto plain sailing but seems to have worked:
I unlocked the bootloader via this link - eventually
http://htcdev.com/bootloader
I got an error 190 when trying to apply the T-Mo UK RUU:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
There were no such updates available. I tired the HTC EU RUU. Error 191:
So I pulled the rom.zip (HBOOT update) from the RUU using this method:
http://lukasz.szmit.eu/2010/04/extracting-rom-files-from-htc-android.html
Renamed it PG76IMG.zip (actual version below)
http://www.cosic.org.uk/MarkoStuff/android/PG76IMG.zip
I applied this with a goldcard using method #3 here:
http://nzlamb.wordpress.com/2011/07/02/htc-wildfire-s-factory-rom-update/
Then the HTC process continued as normal to unlock the bootloader.
In the bootloader there is not the *** UNLOCKED *** in pink across the top.
MARVEL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.09.0099
MICROP-0451
RADIO-7.46.35.08
Then the date.
Now I try this thread:
http://androidforums.com/wildfire-s-all-things-root/480954-guide-how-root-wildfire-s-s-finally.html
HTC supertool v3 doesn't work.
1/2, or 1/3 says 'rooted' but if I try a 'su' at the $ command prompt I'm permission denied.
So I try this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275
with clockworkmod from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1213229
(still on a Goldcard to ignore CID checks)
xda-cn recovery
Old clockworkmod
New clockworkmod
all three give the same error message when entering the bootloader and waiting for PG76IMG.zip to do it's thing:
Main Version is older!
Update Fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot.
This is beyond me. What is that error message trying to tell me please?
Thanks,
--
Marko
UnlockRoot also doesn't work:
Success with this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1431969
That little gadget (thanks eoghan2t7, have $5) gave some terrifying looking errors.
I used the manual option and hit root. It made errors, then it brought up a CWM console that allowed me to apply the xda_cn root.zip file to get superuser/root access. Then it made more errors, and failed to remove CWM recovery, so now I've got SU and CWM recovery.
Hope that this is useful for somebody - perhaps it could be transferred into the threads I've linked to? (I don't have enough pots to add to them)
Cheers,
--
Marko
Reading that again it makes no sense.
To clarify:
I asked eoghan2t7's app to manually "root" the phone using a "temporary" clockworkmod. It couldn't root the phone itself, but it did let me apply the rooting script by XDA.cn from this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275
...and then failed to remove clockworkmod, a series of errors which left me with what I was after in the first place! (clockworkmod and root access)
Download link on page broken
The link for that app/program you have used is broken.
Can you please attach it here, then Ill be happy
Best Regards
Kim
Sorry, don't have it any more - try the dev?
Hey guys,
The issue -
When attempting to do the S-OFF step in this guide :LINK: I get an error in my CMD window.
Now, I have successfully rooted the phone and installed CWM with LeeDroid ROM just like the guide specifies so what's going wrong here?
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Also I figured out that the "fastboot oem lock" command relocks the bootloader however my phone automatically reboots into the ROM and not bootloader.
SIMPLY - I don't get the option to input "fastboot oem reboot bootloader" but my bootloader does relock.
Phone information:
Model - HTC EVO 3D X515a
HBOOT - 1.49.0012
Ps. Also how do I find out my CID version?
Thanks so much, I'm sure there is an answer here somewhere but I'd be very thankful for an answer and not just a "its on xda"
Use fastboot oem getvar cid to get your cid.
Or you can download an app called cid getter from the play store.
Update: My CID is TELST001
Can someone please provide me with a way to get S-OFF?

It seems you have a branded phone, go to unlimited.io and follow the guide to attain s-off
ohh ok cool, is there a link to that thread?
Go to the site http://unlimited.io
Is it possible for me to just downgrade my HBOOT then use revolutionary?
Just because that http://unlimited.io instructions looks a bit difficult.
HELP BUMP!!!!! Needs help!
For branded, that's the only way..if you were unbranded you could have used revolutionary, check out the s-off thread in the gsm development subforums to check for your cid...
Your welcome..

Define can't. What can't you do exactly, where does it fail?
for example i applied this procedure step by step

there is no error, but at the end, message "wrong id"
im using flyer wifi and cid code
RUU_Flyer_HTC_TUR_X.XX.468.X
cidnum: HTC__M27
im trying RUU_Flyer_HTC_TUR_2.27.468.1_Radio_20.3504.30.089BU_3809.07.04.06_M_release_205333_signed.exe or zip file
You changed the misc version?
yes send mics sd card like procedure and versiyon changed 2.27.468.1
and now i tried different rom , misc changed 3.55.1114.31
RUU_Flyer_HC_S_HTC_WWE_Wifi_3.55.1114.31_Radio_20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.07_M_release_227869_signed.exe
and the message
"cid incorrect"
Are you relocking your boot loader before you attempt the ruu
yes
fastboot oem lock
Should be following this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1307759
Not sure if there are differences in commands but you are following a thread for devices that were never unlocked
i tried this procedure too
i m downloading all wifi rom,
and now changed rom info
i ll try
Best I can tell you CID suggest you are a 3G flyer

No problem but I think I am at a lose. I do not see any wifi only models that match your CID. Did you buy this new or used
yes there is a problem; HTC__M27 not a wifi cid,
i couldnt change cid, but model id pd414 (so wifi model)
im loading pd414 rom message "wrong cid",
im loading pd411 and HTC__M27 rom this time message "wrong id"
if i changed id or cid i think everthing will be okay
Hey guys, after running a few custom roms on my Hox+ I decided to return to stock as none of the ones I liked ran a stable build. This was achieved by running a Ruu (Asia WWE) then relocking the bootloader. Worked fine and have used phone for 3 months stock.
Last 4 weeks it would randomly crash and reboot by itself. It didn't bother me too much seeing as I didn't have time to fix it. However a week ago it crashed, tried to reboot and got stuck on the HTC logo screen. I looked around to try and find a solution and figured best way would be to unlock bootloader again and flash a custom ROM.
All well and good until I tried to unlock the bootloader. I got to this screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then when I selected Yes, the phone reboots and I get back to bootloader and it says my phone is now locked, not just relocked. Every time I repeat it, it just stays in locked and trying the RUU again fails telling me I have the wrong RUU.
The only difference I noticed was that there is now another option has appeared in between SIMLOCK and SHOW BARCODE: SECURITY RESET.
I haven't tried it yet as I don't know what it does.
I have the One X+ International

This should be the correct RUU? Also, relock your bootloader before running the RUU with fastboot oem lock.

Yes that is the RUU that I downloaded to run. Right, didn't bother with that because it said it was locked already.
Any clues as to how I could get the bootloader unlocked?
Thankyou!
