NAND write start fail on a bricked phone! Please help! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have the following issue with my Samsung Galaxy Ace 2...
I flashed a CM10.2 ROM and it worked fine, but later I decided to return to stock ROM. I performed factory reset and all data wipes, and flashed the rom via Odin.
Then my phone became bricked, no restarting, just freezes on the Samsung booting screen. I can't go into recovery mode, and I can't flash any recovery I tried because Odin gives me NAND Write Start Fail.
The strangest thing is I can flash any ROM without a problem, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Please help me, I need that phone working because I use it pretty often and have no one else to turn to.

[Q] Need help unbricking tab

Nevermind, I just flashed CMW recovery with odin and I was able to get into recovery mode and do a hard reset. It booted fine now. Phew.
Hi guys,
Is there any hope for my tab (Wifi US ver)?
Long story short, I thought my tab was soft bricked so I tried to flash a stock rom with Odin and it's now looping in the "manual mode: copying common apks", it would freeze there then the Samsung logo would load and it would go back to manual mode and the whole thing loops like this.
I can still get into download mode, but recovery mode loops with the copying apk thing.
Any help or input would be much appreciated. Thanks!
If you can still get into download mode, then find a proper firmware (my advice is www.sammobile.com), and give it another go.. Then root, cwm and try to restore the android again, though it might be corrupted so that's why you got into problems... Anyway, if download mode works it's ok!
EDIT: imo, maybe it should be best to flash with a pit file, so that everything, including /sdcard will be wiped, but you will loose everything (photos, music, etc).
Sent from my amazing 10.1 galaxy tab
A pit file and repartitioning was actually an option I looked into while doing some research, but I'm not sure where I would find a pit file.
I did do a factory reset+clean wipe and flashed a new rom and everything appears to be fine. I think the problem may have been due to Pershoot's new kernal for ICS considering my tab froze after I flashed it, and the ROM flashed after also had a similar kernal as well, and that also froze my tab at boot animation.
But yeah, I'll definitely find a pit file just in case this happens again. Thanks

i9100T Stock ROM flash loop

Hello
I recently recieved my sisters old galaxy s2 after it had been water damaged and the only problem was the power button not functioning.
I wanted to flash a stock 4.1.2 rom via odin and since this was my first time flashing an S2 I followed a tutorial showing me how to flash a stock rom.
Everything went well during the flash but after it completed it bootlooped forever and ever. I tried flashing the same ROM again and the same bootloop. I also tried other ROMs and nothing worked. People have fixed their odin bootloops by entering recovery and wiping everything but I just don't know how to enter recovery without a power button.
Any suggestions?

[Q] Samsung XCover 2 always boots in recovery

Hello!
I have a Samsung XCover 2 (GT-S7710) and I've tried to flash a CM-Rom for quite a while, but without success. At some point my phone stopped to boot a single rom I installed. It automatically starts into CWM Recovery, even with my backup (made with cwm). I thought cwm could be the bad guy and I flashed the Stock Rom with Odin, but same problem here. In Odin everything is fine but again it starts in recovery automatically.
I've read that the bootloader could be the problem and you need to flash it with Odin, but I don't know which one to take, since all treads were about other phones.
Does anyone know which bootloader I have to take or if there is another solution?
Greetings!

Marshmallow soft brick

I assume my NAND rw is corrupted and would like to confirm that and get recommendations what to flash now.
Here's what happened:
Been running Resurrection Lollipop for a while successfully until Play Services started force closing loads. Upgraded to CM13 hoping it would resolve it, it didn't. Ended up with Cyanogen Recovery that came with CM13, which didn't allow me to flash any other rom ('installation failed'). Tried flashing CWM Touch Recovery 5.8x with Odin, which got stuck at Open NAND, had to close Odin eventually and the phone is now giving the Samsung recovery error (Firmware error encountered...). Kies won't recognize it despite driver reinstall, Kies' recovery function doesn't list it. When trying to flash the CWM Recovery i'm getting a NAND write error. I found an old thread on this issue on GB/ICS, but not sure if their steps apply to LP/MM, let alone which files to use now.
Thank you all in advance for being helpful!
@tiethilo
Flash stock 4.1.2 with Odin. If odin flash will be succesfull , phone should end in Samsung animation bootloop. If it haleens , take out battery , go to recovery , select wipe data/factory reset and viola. Your phone should be working.

Galaxy S3 - need help with custom rom

Hi all
I hope that I am posting in the correct place
I need help with my Galaxy S3 SGH-T999
Recently the phone died on me, it was stock rom and with the updates through some of the apps, the phone stopped working correctly. I don't use the phone for making calls, etc, but need it for pictures and a few other apps. The phone is from T-mobile.
I tried to reset the phone and that worked until all the updates were back on and then back to the same problem.
So I decided to put on a custom rom on the phone.
I have tried the following roms:
cm-14.1-20161225-NIGHTLY-d2tmo
I9300XXUGNB6_I9300OJVGNB3_I9300XXUGNA8_HOME
RevolutionaryS5-V3
Slim-d2tmo-6.0.1.alpha.0.1-UNOFFICIAL-20160516-1346
I first installed CWM recovery and then transferred the roms over to the external sd car (also the internal card), went to boot manager (vol up) and installed the files.
It looked like the installation worked but when selecting reboot, the phone would not come back on.
I then loaded up Kies and reset the phone back to factory defaults and only then does the phone load back up after reboot.
Every time I try the custom rom - I run into the same problem
At first I thought the phone was bricked and found info about the jtag and then found something about using an SD card with the following image installed on it - tmobile-T999_4.3_debrick
With the SD card in the phone I can boot to either menus and also able to get the phone to boot to the slim-d2tmo rom. But when I pull the SD card, the phone won't boot. Nothing, no power, nada
I am not sure what I did wrong, followed the direction on the site and thought I did it correctly.
Not sure if I deleted some file, or partition needed or what. I would greatly appreciate some help with this.
Also I would like a custom rom that is stable and fast. I don't need all the bells and whistles but one thing I would like and that is for the camera to be able to take pictures using voice. I know the stock rom allows for this. Not essential but preferred.
Please help with detailed instructions.
Thanks in advance.
It,s amazing
Please elaborate. What's amazing.
Boot into download mode and confirm the model # of the phone. I see you tried to flash I9300XXUGNB6_I9300OJVGNB3_I9300XXUGNA8_HOME which not for the the T999, it's for the gt-i9300.

OPen Odin, uncheck everything except f reset time. Flash TWRP. When you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, replace the battery, boot directly into recovery.
