Hi
Does anybody know how to device encrypt the Sony Tablet S. To be able to use this tablet for work purposes the tablet needs to have device encryption but with Sony stripping this out I can't seem to find any apps that will do this now.
Thanks

Hi,
I've got a Archos 101 G9 (ICS 4, rooted) and I can't find the full system encryption option in the settings / security menu.
Does anyone know why the device encryption has been removed or disabled by Archos? Is there any way to use it?
I've also tried [email protected], but it's not only disabled in the stock rom...
Many thanks!
AFAIK encryption is not present in all Gen9 ICS firmwares (can't say if ICS doesn't support it or if Archos didn't include it)
hmm... does anyone know whether the encryption can be activated in an other way? or is there a better way to encrypt a tablet?
I am planning to buy this phone but I don't know if it has the Android Full Device Encryption 'Encrypt Phone/SD Card' in the Settings>Security.
I have a Sony Xperia phone here but it doesn't include that Encryption, so I am wondering if this phone have that capability. Thank You.
Hey All,
I have a xperia tablet z, LG G2 and galaxy S3 (soon to be upgraded to S6 or maybe the xperia z4 when it comes out) all of which are rooted. I have been thinking about encryption. I have a couple of question. If I encrypt my tablet/phone am I still be able to plug it into a computer and transfer files, say like if I have a word doc from work and I edit it on my tablet, can I then transfer back to my computer via both the cord and email? Next question what is the best encryption method out there. Is it the stock encryption on most Android OS's or is there a better software version I can DL?
thanks in advance.
Hi all. I already know that I can install Whatsapp on an android tablet and I already know how to do it. The issue here is that I want to install it on a Jellybean tablet for my son, who does not have a phone, ergo he does not have a phone number. He wants to just use our home wifi to chat with a few friends. He is too young for a phone so this would be a good option.
Obviously, if I use my phone number to install it on his tablet, there will be conflicts.
So can I do the following: Buy another chip and activate it in my phone and then use that number to get the install code to install it on his tablet and then just remove the chip from my phone ? My phone is single chip only so leaving it in the phone is a non starter. Does whatsapp need an active chip to function or does it only need the number itself ?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
If you use android phone.
U can download the whatsapp apk file on your tablet. Then install it yourself.
