I was flashing Custom ROM on my "Qmobile Noir A900" and ended up corrupting both ROM and recovery.
And my device is now stuck at a boot loop. Recovery mode is just a white screen and can't seem to go into bootloader mode either.
My Question is.. Is my device totally hard bricked or there's still some hope left?
I am new here and not sure if this is the right section. Sorry

Thanks a bunch mate. I did a little research on SP Flash Tool and MTK Chipsets.
I have Formatted whole device using Flash Tool. Now I am going to flash GM Discovery Stock ROM.
Will let you know how it goes.

Well that didn't workout so well. I am unable to FLASH new ROM. I keep getting
BROM ERROR: S_FT_ENABLE_FAIL (4032)
[EMI] Enable DRAM Failed!
Can you suggest any solution for this?
I think I will now try Blu Life Play ROM.

File Explorer only shows sdcard and Upon connecting to PC, only sdcard is visible. However, I can see internal storage listed in Settings > Storage.

Solved these issues too.
First did a cache wipe and factory reset. It solved the storage problem but gave me invalid IMEI notification.
Then did a backup restore from default recovery. (I had made a backup prior to all this )
Solved everything.

Hey,
Though this thread is old and dead now, but i must thank tunglethanh90 for providing the stock Rom (spflash version) of A900. I was having problem with my A900 and found stock rom on needrom site, flashed it and my cell went in to bootloop. I didn't have SPFlash or MTK backup only CWM backup which was no good. I used this ROM provided by tunglethanh90 and i was successful in making my set alive again. Afterwards, i got the problem of invalid IMEI. For that i installed CWM recovery and restored my cwm stock rom backup that i took and saved ealier. All good now but making my set alive again is due to tunglethanh90. Thank You Sir .... So heads up for any guy having QMobile A900 Rom issue, this is what u need to download, dont dl from needrom as its no go.

if you have samsung download bootloader of your device and install by with odin method

- Unpack FlashTools and your ROM, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select the MT6589_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed (THIS STEP IS FOR FLASH TOOL V3, SKIP IF YOU FLASH WITH FLASH TOOL V5)
- choose DA DL All With Check Sum (THIS STEP IS FOR FLASH TOOL V3, SKIP IF YOU FLASH WITH FLASH TOOL V5)
- "upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow, if no, then have to install the driver
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

1.) Try to flash third party recovery for ROOT & Change the IMEI, the SP Tool Process Stuck...(Refer Photo Attachment)
2.) Try to flash other version of ROM, the SP Tool Process Stuck...(Refer Photo Attachment)
Now my phone can switch on and use, only no network...
P/S : Even can't boot into Meta Mode...

Dear Dude,
I have try out the above 2 way, also same stuck at process and the geno root software also can't root.
Finally I managed to flash the TWRP Recovery by change to SP Tool Version 3.1320.0.163.

As for 8 GB i do not know. I do not own an 8GB phone.

I put that updates there for those who have flashed S226 allready and do not have a very good internet connection. For flashing offline !

Dear Stympy,
I tried flashing both the versions (S226 and S228) given in your post. However, neither worked. It always failed in the recovery. Then I tried to flash an OTA S220 which worked (as per my last post). Later there were three official updates shown up in my phone, S226, S227 and S228 (of course, one by one). I just updated them and now I am on S228.

My latest ROM S228 is working well.
However, I am facing a problem in accessing my phone memory. I am attaching snapshot of my storage. When I connect it to laptop, it just shows a Lenovo_Suite which installs a program to share my mobiles capabilities on laptop. My phone memory is not visible from laptop.
What is this emulated folder about? It seems to be a copy of my SD card..but not full. Where is this folder located? Is it eating from my phone memory? Can I delete it?
Please advice!

Hi. Yes you cannot acces the internal memory on the row firmware. I did notice this problem, but was no problem for me because i have sd card. I recomend that you buy one minimum 16 gb class 10.
Do not erase the emulated folder. Seems that system uses that folder.

Thanks! I put the preloader.bin from your link into the S228 directory and removed the "preloader_pradai_row.bin". I still get the message "Unrecognized ROM detected". I guess I have some screwed up ROM, the only ROM I could ever write over it was some older MIUI version (didn't try that many different ROM's though). If you want to have a closer look at my ROM, I can pm you a dl link - it probably would be a waste of time though.
Edit: my phone was made before 03.2014, I am quite certain.
Edit2: Not so certain anymore, because of that ROM date..

If you can acces recovery, custom recovery like TWRP or CWM not stock, you can flash back your firmware. All you need is your last firmware and an sd-card.
Iff you have stock recovery this is bad.

I try flahsing anothe device with SPFT, the purple bar appears when I click the firmware > upgrade, then I try combining button on my device, the red bar appear but before reach the green circle I unplug my device. And now my device dead, pressing the power button but no respond, I was charging the phone full of night yesterday before. Any solution

'What windows do you use ?
I have TWRP in my A310. Flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/development/resurrection-remix-lp-5-5-t3160496 this rom, dunno which version TWRP I have, so now phone is not starting up.
Any help will be appreciated, Guys I don't want to take my phone to Service center ppl. They are horrible.
Phone is turning on, trying to boot - failing - restarting - trying to enter recovery as a TWRP logo shows up then screen flickers and nothing happens and this keeps going on. TWRP also tries to open MTP but that fails too.
Dosen't stay in Bootloader - fastboot as well, restarts.
Are you able to go to recovery?
Do you have a backup of previous rom? If you have it, try flashing stock rom using ygdp tool and after that restore the backup.

Try YGDP and flash stock and then restore the backup if available.
When you flash the stock rom it will repalce the twrp also. We can easily install twrp through ygdp. Follow the steps.
1. Select your .cpb file and apply
2. YGDP will unzip the cpb file, path may be C:\YLXZGJ\YGDP\DownFiles\8297W (in my system this is the path, please check after unzipping)
3. Check the unzipped folder contents
4. There will be a file named recovery.img
5. Delete the recovery.img file
6. Copy your twrp recovery to the unzipped folder and rename it to recovery.img
7. Click on start button
8. Remove battery from your phone and connect it to the usb
9. It will detect your phone and start flashing
10. Wait for flashing finishes to 100 %
11. Done. Disconnect phone. You flashed stock rom with twrp recovery
12. Copy the backup to memory card and insert it in phone
12. Insert battery and press power button and volume up key, go to twrp recovery, restore your backup and enjoy

You need to have these drivers installed in your system - DA USB VCOM Port, PreLoader USB VCOM (Android)

, I should have probably read all the instructions, It was all there. Had some difficulties in installing the drivers as COM port But at the end :victory: works like charm.
I will definitely spread this knowledge with who ever needs in future.

I hv tried to installed from ygdp stock rom but it stopped in between. The process wont complete, plz help me if u can

Phone is turning on, trying to boot - failing - restarting - trying to enter recovery as a TWRP logo shows up then screen flickers and nothing happens and this keeps going on. TWRP also tries to open MTP but that fails too.
Dosen't stay in Bootloader - fastboot as well, restarts.

i had faced same problem ..
but stay calm .. just download ypdp flash tool .. download stock rom and flash it using ypdp tool ... remember while flashing remove the battery otherwise it will not detect the phone , as my was not detected .. but as soon i removed the battery , it flashed the rom in couple of minutes . and after flashing remember to flash a custom rom as the stock rom gets corrupted causing these issues .. installed darkeness redefined rom and it is woking extremely fast , best rom in my opinion . choise is upon you ,

I have been trying to flash a Micromax Canvas HD A116 stock rom on my phone that went dead all of a sudden 1 day. I do not know what the reason was. I tried all the stock roms from v1 to v5. I also tried SPFT v3.something and also SPFT v5.something. My phone gets detected very well on my laptop and on my PC both with Windows 7 and Windows 10 respectively. Every time I have tried to flash the stock rom, it gives error 5069 no space. I have gone through lots of forums online with regards to this topic. However, there is no concrete solution that i could find anywhere. A few reasons that i could find behind this error are emmc crash, larger rom file size, nand flash could not be detected and partition overlap. I do not know what all these mean except larger rom file size. Anyways, i have used all the stock rom files available for my mmx a116. Any help will be highly appreciated. Also to let u know, I'm a newbee trying to learn everything. Thank you in advance.

Do full wipe in recovery then flash stock rom
Firstly, thank you for answering my question Abdul. What is the meaning of do a full wipe in recovery and then flashing the stock rom? I'm using SP Flash Tool to flash the stock rom and my phone is totally dead. It only gets detected in my laptop because I have installed the correct drivers while flashing it. But end up in error 5069.

I mean to say that Clear Cache And reset from recovery if recovery is still open before flashing stock from sp tool
The phone is totally dead. It doesnt even go into recovery. If it could have loaded recovery, i would have easily flashed the rom. Have you understood my situation completely?
