Hi
On my Desire 610, while watching YouTube videos, the highest resolution I can select is 480p and 720p/1080p HD resolutions are missing...
Any help?
same here bro, but looking at screen resolution 480p is good enough..
i think that device specifications are linked with youtube automatically giving the highest resolution for your device.?
Ours should be able to display 720p

The thing is that I have also updated and checked my YouTube app and the highest quality is 480p. This is sad indeed.

It could be due to signal as well as I've got the M7 which is 1080p but am often stuck with 480 or 720 due to low signal. I have seen the 1080 option from time to time though.

This is not from the signal I believe. I am using wifi at home and the connection is great.

Is your model a AT&T one? That one does not have a QHD display. I believe it's 854x480 I just found that out.

I had a Samsung Wave II (S8530) with a 1GHz processor, can't remember what processor it had though, but that Phone has the best Video capabilities I have ever seen. Wife took a video from the back of assembly hall and you could hear the principle talking to someone without the microphone over the noise of the pupils while you can also see his untied shoe laces. To bad that phone has a crappy OS...
I might be mistaking, but I read somewhere that Gingerbread (2.3.4 I think) increased the resolution of movies in Ace. Is that true? Obviously not to HD quality but higher than the current value?
Thats true: from 320x240 to 640x480.
that is DVD quality. still not good enough.

Then you should sell your ace and spend a lot of money on a high end phone.
Now its like you buy a mid range car and complain about it not being able to drive as fast and comfortable as a porsche.

why buy high end mobile when we can buy motorola defy overclocked at 1.2ghz and 720p hd recording with cyanogenmod and miui ports and defy also is water resistant, dust proof, and resolution is 480x854. screen size is 3.7inch. and it has got ambient light sensor. flash in browser is also supported coz of ARMv8 processor.
price of defy is almost same as ace

You guys know that there are high-end phones for a low price?
eg. the Xiaomi phone that runs MIUI, quadrant as high as S2(unmodded). But we all know quadrant isnt something you should rely on.
e.g.
same price range Sony Mini / Mini Pro mid range phone has HD 720p video.
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/corporate/products/phoneportfolio/specification/xperia-mini
price lower then ACE.
I think it would be possible if we change the camera apk of SGA,
with a camera apk that has HD recording like that of SGS2,Defy,Xeperia mini pro ..etc

The HD Netflix app from the Razr works on the Rezound. Just thought I would put that out there. It is cleaner than the one pulled from the Android Market or Amazon. Version differences prove HD vs SD, 1.5 vs 1.6 on the build versions. No errors or any other issues.
Edit: My apologies. Was in a hurry earlier and thought I put this up. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1394637 is the correct thread. They janked it for the Nexus and I was curious.
So you tell us this and then dont post the apk?

I don't see a difference. Supposedly a portion of the screen is suppose to be cut off but mine is full screen. Video doesn't look hd either.

Yeah, mine goes full screen unlike that post, but I think the picture might be better. It's just a slight difference, though.
We won't get true HD on Netflix until the snapdragon has the proper security certificate like the omap does.
Yep

I think the difference is only 360p to 720p. No full support at this time, but the reason the screen is shrunk is because the screen size is different. Resolutions for 1080 or 720 shrinks on the larger display. The video is only slightly different, but I did notice slightly better clarity. Could just be that I watch anime mostly and not too many real movies or episodes. Similar to what pulls up on my ps3 though. just about 46 inches smaller on the phone.
Hi.
I have a htc desire with a multi-touch issue (details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1871534).
Now I would like to buy htc desire x but wonder if it also has the same problem?
Thanks
Probably not, I think the Desire X supports up to 5 fingers but I'm not sure...

Des X has 4 multi-touch point. And I think des X multi-touch has bugs/glitch in it. It is noticeable when playing around with multitouch tester. Lags when moving more than 2 fingers will be visible not so much but there's noticeable lag.
The multi-touch bug are more noticeable and exposed on games such as cs portable and call of mini zombies. Or mostly other dual stick shooter games. Probably just me though

How is temple run 2 performance with one X+? I feel there is a lag out there with both stock and custom roms. I am testing this on ATT version.

the same way you would do on your computer: enter the game, hit the options menu and adjust the graphic quality
"menu->settings->visual quality"
I'm having an incredible amount of lag, it's almost unplayable.
When the game stutters and the fps drops, the game doesn't process my swipes quickly enough and it ends in a death. My game is stuttering at least once every 10 seconds.
I'm running QX Senseless.
Works perfectly fine with graphics turned to max on my international hox+ on stock unrooted phone.

Well I'd assume so, the HTC one has a smaller screen that the Galaxy S3 and it's 1080p. I think it's the highest PPI on a mobile at the moment. But
Sv: Will S3 Disply fit 1080p HD ?
Would be pretty awesome if Samsung or some other company could fit in 1080p in an 4" screen
