OK so I tried posting this in the Alliance Rom forum but I guess that was the wrong place. So here its goes again. I'm having trouble fixing the color of the dialog pop menus. They are all white and really hard to read. I tried going under custom settings and changing the settings under general mod area . like someone else posted

And even tried turning off the user dialog pop user option. That Didn't change anything and so tried changing the dialog pop up type theme but still a no go. I also tried changing the colors under the color setting but nothing seems to be working to fix that. Anyone got any other ideas how to fix this issue. Love the Rom but this is driving me crazy. Lol thanks for all your help!
Ok..i am trying to recreate this on my phone to help you..what apps besides the bit - torrent one are you seeing this on.

Any memory management apps like Es file Explorer. Or anytime you download a file from the Web browser. Mostly when ever a dialog pop up shows up. I noticed a few other people having the same issues. Thanks for your help!
Also pops up when setting up some widgets! Like hd widgets. Hope someone can help fix this issue. Thanks a million!

Ditto.... Tried every change I could think of in Colors under custom settings.... but the only thing I could get to change was the checkmark colors.

This is weird because I can't recreate it..i will keep trying things but this is what I get..
The one is root browser as I don't use es file explorer and the other is Google Drive.
I am using the latest Alliance Rom.. so it has to be a color you have changed.
I will Try playing with the colors and see if I can get it to do it.

Nope just tried it on the power menu. No issues there! . I even installed a new theme and reset the colors back to how they are when you first boot up the Rom. So even with the default color set. It still shows the white dialog pop up menus. No idea how to fix it. It's not the end of the world but would like to fix It. Still a awesome Rom! Thanks

Also got it to show up when it's loading in the XDA Android App.
I don't think any of the settings in the ROM are going to fix it. I just noticed the dialog you're talking about while attempting to reply via the XDA app. I'm guessing the only solution is to decompile, change xmls then compile again.

Hi all.
Quick question.
Anyone know how to get rid of the annoying cloud animation that appears just after you unlock the phone. Im finding it really annoying!!

Check your weather widget's settings. I've seriously never seen those on my Samsung. Only on my Desire.
I've been running a custom rom from the start.

Seriously, you never seen that before? It's always been there since I have had my GS2.
I am also on a custom Rom.
Also, there is no option to toggle this on or off. It's annoying because everytime I unlock the phone, I can't do anything until the animation finishes!
I also have never seen that before.has that animation been there when you first got the phone with stock firmware?

Hmm...
To be honest, I can not recall it never being there. As far as I can remember, It has always been there since day one. This is wierd, I can not be the ONLY one who has the cloud animation when unlocking the phone. am I? It is like how we get the animation on HTC Sense (Homescreen) but I hate it.
Does anyone with GS2 have the cloud animation like mine?
Mabey somebody owned the phone before you and returned it to the store.

Tapping the screen after the animation starts does stop it then you can do what you want.
If its beautiful widgets then as stated previously by simes6600 "go to weather widget settings>advanced and untick "unlock animations" "...
hey guys.
I do have BW installed but i don't use it. Neither WL nor FW. However, i have checked the settings on BW and unlock animation is turned off. Its not a big of deal but i would like to use my phone as soon as i unlock the phone. I can touch the animation (clouds) and it stops but does slow the phone down. I'm confused. I might try and uninstall them even though i don't use them and see if that makes a difference.

So i froze the discussed apps with titanium backup and guess what? It didn't work. More ideas anyone?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
OK guys, found the culprit! Lol!
It was along the lines of the previous suggestions!
It was a weather widget extra add on(which again i don't use)that had the unlock animation ticked.
I totally forgot i installed it. Lol!

Find the corresponding icon in either the systemui or framework-res and replace it with a empty icon.

it's there to allow you to switch input methods. i use it quite often going between Swype, stock and Japanese.

Exactly, I have certain apps that don't play well with Swype as the input method so it's nice to be able to quickly switch to stock.
How is an icon annoying? Why are you even looking at it if you're typing currently?
Because I know what keyboard I'm using.... If I wanted to change it I would go to settings.... Not go to my task bar. I don't want to be reminded of it every time I type... And saying why are you looking at it? Don't be stupid. That area is for notifications not useless icons. Would u want a camera icon there when you used camera, Gmail, etc???? No you would not.

I cant do that. I am switching from a Galaxy R I bought it a good while back. I did a factory reset, after that. It worked. But after that I tried again with a different app same issue. I think something is getting installer either through the updates or something else thats causing it not to work again.

This seems to be a jellybean bug, my s3 and my N7 suffer from it occasionally.
Keep trying is all I can say, it will work eventually, keep tapping install, or try to long press home to switch to another screen and back.
Or press cancel and start over.

I figured out the problem. It was Screen Adjuster that disabled my Install button. So if you have Screen Adjuster installed. Disable it by going into Settings> Manage Applications > All > Screen Adjuster. Then install whatever app you want to install. Then re enable it. It works.

:good: It worked for me also as I was having the same problem caused by Screen adjuster!
Cant install apps from my SD card in my Micromax A116 Canvas HD & there is no screen adjuster app installed into the device.
I have tried a few driving apps but I think what I really need, given the space on the Note II, is to just make my own driving interface out of widgets. If such a thing is possible. Unfortunately I am not finding what I need and I was wondering if anyone here knows of any matches
I am looking for a maps, or even better, a navigation widget. IE something I can place on the screen as a widget 4x4 or something like that that is showing the navigation app. using widgets which I can resize and place myself. I am essentially looking to make my own dash screen. But the key component is a widget version of maps and/or navigation.
If you change the dp in system with xposed, you can have floating windows. Then you can have navigation floating over all of your screens, and close it when finished. I know that this isn't what you are asking, just a suggestion.

It is not the perfect solution, but it works. Sometimes you havecto back out ofcit instead of closing it. Other than that, it is awesome.

Can you be a little more specific? Can not seem to reproduce that in xposed.
Sure thing. First install xposed, then install app settings. Enable app settings, then reboot. Gointo app settings, and click android. When the screen pops up, click on dp. Change the dp to 600x1024. Reboot, and you should have floating windows.
These are the setings I use. The only problem that I have had from changing this is my lockscreen rotates, and only shows 3 shortcuts on the lockscreen.

Strange. I already have Xposed installed as I run Jelly "Beans" and use the custom DPI on a few apps. But when I make those changes to Android System I don't see any change to the apps I open such as maps. No biggy, just curious why it doesn't work.

Looks like the retards removed this feature or am I blind? This featured was awesome in S5, but I can't seem to find where to disable this? I DO NOT want a message preview in the status bar when I get a message.

You are blind. Go to settings > sound and notifications you can set notifications to hide content. You can also do that per app if you like.

I appreciate your help and effort in this. Sorry for sounding ungrateful. I'm just so fed up with this I can confirm that this doesn't work. Maybe it's a problem only for some phones? Maybe it's like the problem with A-Z order in the app drawer. Some have this option, some don't (I don't).
So to sum this up: Under Settings -> Sounds and notifications -> Notifications on lock screen I have "Hide content". When the phone is on and unlocked, all messages I receive is clearly visible in the statusbar. But, while locked, the square notification for message shows that I have one new message, but it doesn't show the content.
Just an addition to the last post. The options I had on my former Galaxy S5 were like this: http://galaxys5guide.com/samsung-ga...off-sms-and-mms-message-preview-on-galaxy-s5/
I do not have these options at my S6 Edge. These options are what I'm looking for. Where are these?
