I second that ... I'm on a $2.00 a day unlimited 2g data plan and after toggling some settings in connection manager I have the Lte checked ... 2g on WiFi checked .. & 3g unlock checked .... Now I have lte speeds ... Makes no sense ... & I'm tethering with it too !!! If this stays this way I'll have the unlimited 4g lte with unlimited tethering which is not even offered for $60 a month more or less !!! The only reason I found this out is because I had a $40 credit on my account ... So I decided to use a daily plan for testing !!!

I had a credit of $40... I have $8.00 left now ... $2.00 with t-mobile gets you unlimited talk,text & 2g web ... Well after
Settings, more, then connection manager I turned on lte ... It takes a minute but it cycles through 3g,then hspa+ .. When the phone finally shows lte at the top of the phone again you actually get lte speeds & I'm also using the built in tether ... For my Asus 700 tablet & chromecast ... So my point was $2.00 a day for 30 days more or less would give me unlimited tethering & unlimited lte 4g ... On t mobile for $60.00 & they dont even have an unlimited tethering plan .. This is $20.00 or so dollars cheaper depending on the days in a month than the $80.00 plan provided at t mobile !!! Make sure you only toggle the 4g ... I did the 2 g on WiFi ... & 3g when phone is unlocked & lost my Lte speed .. For a minute I found that all you have to do is toggle the lte in connection manager & wait a minute ... It will stay on h+ for a while but once the phone says lte .. Its really lte .. I have a Developer Edition Moto X gsm !!! Hope it works for everybody else I'm sticking with this ROM !!!

You can always use a build.prop editor from play store, they are many good ones an free, just need to edit LCD density.

Not seeing any files for download... I'm thinking of giving this app a go, but the mediafire link seems to be void of files. Am I just blind, or following the wrong link?
Downloading now!

Bad luck for me. I loose a lot of cell signal. I have to uncap battery door to receive a little and even like this it's difficult. Signal is fast ramdom, but phone don't move and weather perfect. And i'm trying to revert to any other rom which works perfect , it's the same. No app Install just flash ROM and/or gapps, whatever i do nothing changes
the only sad thing is: navbar is very buggy in AOSB which i use allot. No prbs regarding signal though

I don' t think its the rom.
Phone companies seemed to have gained full control of our signal.
They can give you full data or throttle you down to edge at their will.
Heavy data users are punished regardless of what you are paying for.
They keep losing lawsuits over throttling but it still must be profitable for them to keep doing it.
Some of the tricks that used to work like setting your data limit to 99GB don' t work anymore.
I am giving serious thought to dropping data and just use wifi.
I think when they rolled out 4G and retrofitted all the towers, it was impressive to get these speeds.
Now that most customers have signed onto to it, they have implemented their data controls to squeeze out the most profit possible.
I believe it was their plan all along.

I don't know
Just guessing as I have no inside information but perhaps the first week of June 2014 was their deadline on using this technology which coincidentally matched the time you flashed.
I monitor my data speeds and ever since June hit the throttling has been unbearable.

Moose ! Long time no see !
Glad to see you switched too
Mahdi is still based of AOSP ?
No bugs while compiling ?
Wow nice MAHDI ROM on 1+1, using MAHDI on my Nexus 5 and is working great.
Got a invite and contemplating on buying this phone, this might just make me the switch as development is worrisome due to the availability of the phone.

WOW! Sorry to hear that made you leave this bad boy, but also very sad to tell you now its still gone and NEVER coming back. We have either LSN or Peek which is pretty much Active Display. Hope you will still give it a try, there is no Active Display on CM either.....
You could also use the app ACDisplay as well.
Anyways still good to see you here! Even if it is just for a moment
Well, Pac is based of CM, and have active display
But I will definetly try Mahdi, with the apps you mentionned
Also, is it the stock kernel, or did you add any of your tweaks ?

The only thing I'd really miss is the development but I guess that will come as the phone becomes more available to the masses. But I'd be pretty satisfied with the current offerings as now MAHDI is here and Franco already has his kernel available. Without a doubt, 64GB internal storage with all of the other specs on 1+1 is pretty much a steal for its price.
I hate asking questions though, but from the looks of it Franco only works on stock ROM (CM 11S) and since as you said MAHDI isn't based off AOSP would by theory, MAHDI work with Franco Kernel r4?
Awesome !! Can't wait this Rom !
I don't know these Mahdi roms , but do you think you can keep One Plus Gallery and camera apps , screen gestures ( when screen off ) , and all these features from CM11S ?
I hope so ! Thanks a lot for the work , wait on the link now !

Franco r4 does not boot on MAHDI, we had this issue before in the past and he was able to add a fix so maybe franco can do it again. Not sure.

Yeah it seems Franco Kernel not really compatible for CM11 rom based as I seen before .. Too bad I m using it , pretty stable and with the Franco's app you can correct sound and mic problem on the One Plus One .... It would be awesome if you get a way to fix it !

I'm sure it'll get resolved in the future. For the N5, Franco Kernel isn't compatible with CM11 but people fork his kernel and make it compatible so it boots up. Just kind of annoying with the fragmentation between kernels when back in the days you have a kernel zip and u can flash it on whatever rom you have.

Yep, I will make franco kernel boot on Mahdi sometime today or tomorrow. Just won't be able to use his OTA feature since it won't boot. More than likely I will just use my reserved post below the OP to keep his kernel updated for Mahdi until we get a better method.

Got a invite and contemplating on buying this phone, this might just make me the switch as development is worrisome due to the availability of the phone.

But seriously, you should buy it.

Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom, but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that also enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating, or any form of "pay to flash".

try this :
- Change Governor to : Smartassv2+row or Ondemand+sio
- Greenify some unused app
- Change mobile network state to 2G if you still need a mobile data network connection but doesn't use a huge usage
- Turn off some unused ROM features
Any suggestions, just suggest it.

Using 20180718 build I don't see any custom settings section under Settings or find them added into the regular/default sections - no turn off nav bar, no advanced power menu, no status bar tweaks, etc - has Moto Actions but that's it.

Meh, read the title. Understand the concept.
Also, Power Menu / Advance reboot etc are in Settings > Battery
Battery icon customisation aswell is in Settings > Battery
Themes, Navigation bar, Weather etc are in Settings > Display
Gestures like double tap etc are in Settings > System > Gestures
Heads up disable is in Settings > Notification
Roaming icon is in Settings > network & internet
This rom will be abandoned like the others.

Thanks for clarifying, found everything and am now running the ROM which seems pretty good so far. I did understand the concept and do prefer streamlined ROMs with relatively few extra settings that I'll actually use, and if you had listed some main features in the OP I would've known to look longer to find them. I've installed most ROMs here since this G5+ forum was started and never saw nav bar under Advanced Display or advanced power menu under Battery, and since no nav bar w/FP gestures is the first thing I set up, I gave up after not quickly finding that. Thanks for your work and hope it continues despite what other posters may say.

Why don't you guys read everything before flashing ?
You came back to Custom Oreo from Soak Oreo builds ,right ?
Just flash twrp flashable stock Nougat by Nzepred and then flash any custom Oreo roms.. your FP will be back.
This is the best rom for potter very smooth and fluid and every option is present where it should be unike other roms where they accumulate all the option in single place that doesnt make any sense.
Battery life is awesome too but i noticed stand by drain when i sleep at night battery was 35 and when i woke up it was 10 on first cycle i will try use doze for gms and see the result.
Apart from this rom is amazing everything just works perfectly.
Thank you for thus wonderful rom. Everything is damn good except that I'm unable to use android messages app.
Feature request: could you please include Google dialer and android messages as default apps ?
I'm very picky with ROMs apparently, but this one really works for me. All the things that were bugging me about Lineage, this doesn't have. This is more-or-less the experience I was looking for with Lineage originally- a basic rom that feels like what stock should have been. Notification light, passes safety net, everything more-or-less works the way you'd think and is found where you expect it to be. Smooth and great, this ROM deserves a lot more love than it is getting!!
Only thing that I'm concerned about is battery. First day I used it alot so I had a decent amount of SOT, but today I'm using it less yet still seeing steady battery depletion. Could just be that the battery needs to be calibrated, nothing in particular seems to be draining it more than normal.

Any update on the battery for you? Does it get better over time? My phone does seem to be using more power than I expected in standby too. I'm wondering if it has to do with how it is handling the radio? Reception seems different than stock, but it might just be the bars are displaying differently.
Sad that the P version is getting more attention, Oreo is rock solid and aside from battery, everything seems to work as well (or better) than stock!

It just would not get data ON despite checking all data and network settings. APN is OK. IMS registartion as per *#*#4636#*#* is OK. Did not try call out. Incoming call thru with extremely good clarity. But the biggest drawback was data - Jio - would not go on. I don't bother if 4G/LTE shows up on status bar or not. Keeps asking for data connect. Trying again in few minutes with super clean install including internal storage. Will post results soon hopefully with screenshots.
Edit:
See attached images:
1. Installed after total wipe via sideload. No GApps.
2. Calls incoming/Outgoing on VoLTE "crystal clear" on phone. Not tried headphone.
3. Data available only on WiFi.
4. IMS resgitration OK but no data via nw whatever be the chosen network type. Wonder how VoLTE works without data connection!!!

Hello there,
I also had this problem with the mobile internet on a few Roms, but I quickly figured out what the reason was:
It did not even ask at the first start, which Sim you would like to use for the Internet. That's the sticking point. That's why it does not connect.
Simple solution: Under Network & Info should be an option called Sim cards: There then for call, SMS and Internet select the right SIM. (Before I changed anything, the internet option was set into "ask" ). EDIT: You could just use the search in settings, search for "preferred Sim" or just "Sim"
That should be it, tell me if it's working now, should normally
One question from me, does this rom has an option to enable lockscreen music visualization? :victory:
Apart from that, a big thanks for the developer for this project, I'll test it soon as well.

Thank you both. I use single VoLTE SIM. Since IMS registration goes thru an IP is assigned meaning data connect is available irrespective of number of SIMs used. Besides, because one SIM is used question of "preferred SIM" doesn't arise. All data, calls and messaging are done thru that.
However thanks for the alternate solutions provided.
@[email protected], is there any dependency on GApps for initial setup with respect to data and probably some other settings? I tried yesterday without installing GApps but no success on mobile data though IMS registration went thru. Mobile data settings were not saved and kept asking for it. You may see me earlier posts. Today with GApps it went thru well. Yet to test as I've just rebooted after install. VoLTE calls have been found to be clearer on this ROM for me. Good work.
Edit: is it AOSP Extended based? The white transition on qs swipe down is a giveaway. You seem to have resolved certain theme based issues. Have to wait and see battery overhead as the ROM seems to be on performance mode by default though it says balanced as the speed is high. Cam is a no go. In total darkness with auto flash I get white pix on close up shots. Sometimes the flash remains on and no shot forever. Switching back to front and vice versa takes ages. Not an issue for me as Tolyan009 port works.
Hey. How's the battery life and SoT of this ROM? Can someone test it and send ss plz? Thx

No there is no dependency of gapps for your mobile data network. And to be honest I fixed that mobile data problem.
I have been flashing this ROM everyday for testing and don't find any major issues. And for that quickstyles animation just wait for few hours let the ROM settle it will disappear itself. For GCAM
I recommend use arnova's pixel3mod v1.4 I removed toylan's gcam in this build. And yes this ROM is only for Performance and Smoothness so don't expect good SOT.
Like my work ?
Leave a thanks

Nice to know that. ROM actually flies compared to few others. 5% of battery lost over 7.5 hrs of sleep, so I presume SOT will also be good but I don't really worry about it for a more than 2 year old battery.
The NW signal reception too is higher which certainly is a plus for me particularly in concrete jungle environ.
Great work.

I don't use any of that crap.
Dirty installation on omni without any problem.
Exceptional level of customization.
Screen transmission does not work
The stock camera does not work. He asks for a sd card. It's not a big problem because the Gcam 6 works well
