Sorry my bad , I was actually using nuts one . Same problem though, it just does not install and reboots directly in the operating system rather than going to the recovery after the first boot.

I'm not sure that you're pressing the right buttons at the right time. Try turning your phone completely off. Then power it on normally, and wait for the LED to turn on after about 5-7 seconds. As soon as it does that, hold only Volume Up until the LED changes colour, and you should get into recovery.
Edit: Ah, sorry, are you not getting it installed at all? Do you have the USB drivers installed and USB debugging enabled? And have you had a popup on your phone to allow the computer to connect with debugging?

yeah It did not install at all, and finally I have managed to install it using the custom kernel here at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714511 and all seems good.
Time to go on with the custom roms I assume, thank you all. And its great to have being switched to ZU!

try delete the following file
/system/bin/recovery.twrp.cpio.lzma
/system/bin/recovery.cwm.cpio.lzma
/system/bin/recovery.philz.cpio.lzma
/system/bin/chargemon
/system/bin/dualrecovery.sh
/system/bin/mr
then rename chargemon.stock and mr.stock to chargemon and mr, restart the phone and try install again

Make sure you're selecting option 2 if you rooted with easyroot.

I think your only option is to restore it via RIFF JTAG... I don't know another way...

If you haven't done it yet, pull out the battery, put it back in and try to get into bootloader or recovery. (the pulling out the battery part is important)
by the way, what exactly is happening when you try to boot? please describe step by step what is happening. And what do you mean by boot "into hboot"?
And how did you try to go back to stock? Did you even get into the stock rom. Didn't you just forgot to flash the boot.img when going back to stock?

to flash a rom I
1. Switched off my phone,
2. hold power + vol down (to boot into bootloader recovery), just blank screen no boot.
3. hold power button + vol up, again just blank screen no boot.
4. when us connected led lights up, and PC detects as "unknown device found".
not booting at all.

but did you remove the battery and put it back in or not? If so and it still does not want to go into bootloader, it really is bricked.. Bring it to a service center for repair..

Wait untill you feel 3 vibrations.
What firmware you had when you installed the rom and can you give the link to the thread of the rom you installed?
Do you have ftf to original formware?
One vibration reboot, three power off.
After you will switch off, try flash tft then.

Actually before that i was trying to port a rom but it didnt work out.
so i flashed the pacman rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2372433
in this i had to fastboot the boot.img which i then was unable to.
and before that i had the same rom installed. i have the original ftf.
i instaled the latest flashtool. it says the drivers arent installed but they are.
windows says unable to install drivers.
after i press the vol up and power, after 1 vibration it goes to kernel. i waited for 5 min pressing the buttons but nothing happened.
when on kernel, flashtool says device connected in usb debugging off.
Thanks for your help!
in the flashtool, i chose the log level to debug.
then my phone was able to get to the fastbot mode and i successfully fastbooted the correct cm kernel and booted up the rom!

Did you replace the kernel image before installing? Realy weird why the didn't fo it themselves.
No ppoint to try booting the phone.
You have removable battery so try to remove it for a minute, put it back and see if you can connect in flash mode and flash original formware.
BTW what do you mean by "goes to kernel?" recovery?

[Q] Bricked

Hi, don't think this is the place to be asking, but can someone point me in the right direction.
Have locked up / bricked my HTC One max.
Had previously;
- dev-unlocked via htc site,
- flashed cwm recovery via adb,
- backed-up via cwm,
- flashed nusense rom via cwm.
was running all good for a few weeks, although had lost root.
manually re-rooted flashing superuser.zip via cwm and got root back working fine.
made another cwm recovery backup.
installed xposed framework (got working via soft reboot), updated sense toolbox via xposed installer, rebooted working fine.
installed gravitybox via xposed installer. then on a soft reset its locked up (black screen, not responding, red charging led stays on when power is unplugged).
can't get to recovery via vol/power buttons.
can't see device via adb devices.
Would be removing the battery at this point on my HTC DHD but thats not happening here.
bit screwed at the moment, can anyone help?

Are you sure your phone is charged. If so try this. Hold both vol u and d and power. the button at bottom should start flashing. Then quickly vol d and power. The vol u and d will or should restart phone.

Bo' Selecta! It lives!
Took several attempts; home/back just flashed on a few tries & didn't go to recovery. But eventually it reset & booted up fully
Guess I`ll go remove the GravityBox module then.

Just so you know for future reference, exposed drops an exposeddisabler.zip file onto your sd card when installed. It's there for just this very thing. Should it happen again hold those buttons and the second it reboots press volume down and then boot to your recovery and flash the disable zip. Your phone will boot up with xposed disabled and everything else as is.

Is the Device Bricked!!... Help

Hello all,
My friend owns a Z2, here's what he did.
He was using a pre rooted stock. He went into recovery, wiped the device clean. Then a SuperSU prompt for root appears, which he "grants".
Then onwards, all he is able to see on his device is just the Boot Screen. Tries to boot into fastboot mode, by plugging the USB with the Volume Down, The green light blinks, then goes off.
Adb devices does not list the device.
What should we do?
just flash the FTF again.

Your friend wiped the device clean literally. There us no OS installed on his phone anymore. Boot into recovery, turn the phone on, and when the green light blinks press amd hold vol dn key until you see a purple LED blink. Now from twrp go to advanced and go to mount storage, hook your device to a PC and on PC download any flashable ROM, like Existenz and copy to it to pohone. Reboot the recovery with same steps as above and hit install and find the ROM zip file you transferred from PC and just install it. When you reboot again you should have a working device again.

Oh well, then only flashing FTF can save your friends device. Are you sure you have all drivers installed on your PC? Windows 8 and 10 have driver signature enforcement enabled and unsigned drivers cant be installed the normal way so this may be the reason your PC cant recognize your Z2 in fastboot mode. Look for instructions on how to disable windows driver signature enforcement check and then try to install flashtool drivers again.
Got the device back, flashed the ftf again, it worked. Thanks for the all the help guys.
Nice to see someone returning to say thanks :good:

Fastboot and Flash mode not working

Hi all,
I'm glad to see the XDA Forums are always here to help noobs like myself.
I recently re-locked my Sony Xperia Z5 Compact's (E5803) bootloader and now I can't unlock it again via adb because as soon as I connect the phone via USB while pressing the VOL UP key, I get a blue notification light that then turns red. This makes the phone reboot into the normal Nougat (build 32.3.A.0.376). Any idea how to fix this, please?
Additionally, Flash mode does not work either. When I press the VOL DOWN key as I connect via USB, the light turns green only for one or two seconds before booting into OS.
Many thanks in advance!
Make sure that you have the drivers installed. Did you try using a different USB port?
Hard reset - press and hold, power + vol buttons, till three vibrations, then try again.

Thank you so much for replying! Sorry I'm getting back to you after so long, but the situation hasn't changed, I still have no access to fastboot mode.
How can I install the right drivers? Do you know where I can get them?

No problem.
You may find the right drivers in the flashtool folder, usually located at C:/Flashtool/drivers. If you're on 64 bit, you may have to disable Driver Signature Verification before installing, or else it will fail.

Thanks for replying! Well, I don't know if the drivers were installed already, but what I did was to keep the VOL UP key pressed after I inserted the USB so I could enter fastboot mode. Since the light was alternating between blue and red, I just let go of the key when it turned blue.
Thanks again!
Cheers
