Hello there!
I have bought a black one from ebay, mine when i plug it in the voltage socket the led indicator goes red , orange , green, and then stays red. No matter how many hours i leave it plugged the led never goes green so i dont know if the battery is charged.
I mean the led indicator has the ability to turn green why would they not make it go green when the battery is charged?
I left the battery charging for 3 hours and it did not turn green but the batterry was fully charged .
My question is, is this normal or mine is faulty? Thanks so much for your time!

Just recieved my phone. Instructions are pretty clear about ensuring that the battery is fully charged before turning on the phone. I don't see any instructions that tell me how I should know when it is fully charged. The notification light on the phone started off as an amber color that slowly turned on & off. It then quickly changed to a solid amber color. Does this mean it is fully charged, or will the light turn green or turn off when it is fully charged?
Thanks.
Green when fully charged.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to explain something about my phone's battery charging:
I have the phone down to 3% charge left and I plug it into the charger I have put
in a wall socket and let the juice flow into the phone.
The red light is solid BUT the battery icon on the Amaze 4G is showing as charging up= green bar fills up battery icon.
My question: Is this normal behavior for charging an almost dead battery?
BTW, The HTC rep I spoke to today said:
"You want to run the phone to next to zero battery life for the first few times and then charge it up."
Is this guy right?
Thanks and forgive the ignorance,

Yup. You want it to die completely and fully recharge it to calibrate the battery. You'll get the maximum life out of it basically.
The charging icon does that. It means it's charging lol. It's a fancy little animation. That's all.
Hi, i bought this 1950mah "gold" battery off ebay but its not working properly.
It just shows a question mark on the battery bar and sometimes the battery charge left. Charging it gives me the red and green blinking light and its not charging at all. It does power up the phone though.
I have searched and there were people with this issue but there were never any conclusion.. so is there anything i need to do or the battery is just not compatible? Its sold as suitable for titan and XL.
I am on CM9 stable rom, Siyah Kernel 1.5.
There is a customisation in CM9 that allows us to enable/disable Battery lights, where we can change the LED colour for Low Batt, Charging and Fully Charged. I noticed that whenever my phone is charged to 90%, the LED turns to green, which is my fully charged colour. Is there anyway to ensure that the LED only turns green when the battery is really fully charged at 100%?
And also, the status of my phone says "Charged" once 100% is reached, however we all know that when it reaches 100%, the phone will still continue charging for a while before it is really fully charged. Is this a bug?

Led turning green at 90% is AOSP behavior. You cant do anything about it.

Hi. I have problem with redmi note 3. Notification LED only blinking, when i turning on with discharged battery, only for a while. What is it problem? Thanks for answers.
As you already explained, YOUR BATTERY IS DISCHARGED AND THE DEVICE WON'T BOOT WITH AN EMPTY BATTERY so I'm asking you kindly to leave it charge itself for a while and then try again smh

As I said. LED notification only blinking when I turning on my phone on discharged battery (on red color for. While). Normally notification led isn't working, even when I am testing in service app.

Your battery is in negative state means no power at all it happened with me also, to fix this just plug your device to charger for some time like 20-30 mins it will show no signs of charging but it will charge after 30 min try to switch on your device ?
If nothing work, the last option (before change battery) is try to charge with inverse polarity.
You need to charge the battery without phone with cutted cable. Use inverse polarity...
Red cable (positive) in negative place of battery
Black cable (negative) in positive place of battery.
This for 20 minutes approximate.
Now try to charge with normal polarity (without phone during 30 minutes).
Put your battery in your phone and charge normally.
I repeat, this is the last option before change the battery.
For good maintenance of battery not allow low than 15% or more than 90%

Try with other rom, the led controller for discharged phone is in kernel but in Android is in system I think.
I don't know if I'm right, sorry.
