Hey ppl. I have problem with WiFi on my P760 phone. On every custom ROM, it disconnects me from any WiFi spot, and then connects me again, and every 5-10 secs random discs and conns. But when I turn Bluetooth on, it works fine. Can anyone solve this? I don't want to use BT everytime when I have to connect on WiFi because it eats too much battery.
which custom roms have you tried?
Napisane używając SwiftKey, zaszyfrowane Enigmą i wysłane kablem Ethernet
try wipe cache/partition and check in info room maybe this is normal bug on this room
On every custom ROM I have this problem. Nope, tried with cleaning cache, no success.
have you tried EVERY custom ROM? have you do format system? I have read something, that if you have enabled WiFi before flashing ROM, WiFi in new rom can be broken
Napisane używając SwiftKey, zaszyfrowane Enigmą i wysłane kablem Ethernet
Yep bro, every single rom out here for my phone
I do always fresh and clean rom install
have you tried roms for locked bootloader? How about stock? Which version of baseband have you use?
Napisane używając SwiftKey, zaszyfrowane Enigmą i wysłane kablem Ethernet
Nope, I have unlocked bootloader, so I was flashing roms only for that one.
I'll flash stock today when I come home, then I'll tell you does that problem persist on stock one too
no problem on stock rom and on artas CM11 rom. i'll stick to cm11 artas then.
:fingers-crossed:
so its not hardware problem
Napisane używając SwiftKey, zaszyfrowane Enigmą i wysłane kablem Ethernet
seems so, but I can't understand why do I only have that problem...
but nevermind.
Have a great day
sent me folder etc/wifi

I've searched the forum for a sollution to no avail and since I can't post this in the actual ZMOD 003 thead (low post count) I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem?
When I start up the Wifi on my X10 I am just met with "Error".
I've reflashed and fully re-installed the .71 baseband, ROM and 003 update and this had happened each time (after first phone reboot I think).
I'm otherwise really pleased with the ROM (full camera, 6+ days battery, etc), is there a sollution?
SOLVED: Downgrade busybox to 1.17.1 (re-install by the andriod installer back to the older version) and reboot.
Assuming you have a custom kernel ... After flashing the cm7 zmod rom, try flashing the wifi modules to match your kernel, then reboot phone and wifi should work.
Had this problem on a few of the roms I've tried, got into the habit of installing the wifi modules immediately after installing any rom I try, before rebooting into the new rom for the first time.

u can also try it with static ip.

It's not that it won't connect but the Wifi won't turn on no matter what I try. I've tried this anyway but with no sucess.

Ok thats sounds like some good advice. Noob question but where could I get the wifi modules for zdzihu's custom kernel? Or do you mean flash the default wifi modules? Also do I just install them through xrecovery, I'm a little lost?
Seems like I'm not the only one having this problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1135475&highlight=zKernel+wifi+module&page=81
help anyone, im lost without my wifi.
edit:
Busybox seems to be the issue, I downgraded from 1.19.2 (i think) back to 1.17.1 and the wifi went straight back to working on reboot.
Problem seems to be solved, for now. I now have the perfect ROM.
I installed a custom rom, everything is working except for the wifi, the wifi wont turn on and connect to the wifi network, is there something wrong with the actual wifi card or is it fixable?

What rom did you use? I suggest going to the thread for the rom and asking other people that are using it. Chances are you may just need to re-wipe your phone and then reflash.
we will definitely need more info than what u gave us
You may have to reflash the custom kernel if you flashed one before flashing the rom. I ran into this issue after I flashed a new version of the rom I'm using on top of the Trinity kernel. Just had to reflash the Trinity kernel again and wifi was working again.
I was using slimkat 4.4.2 and restored the official samsung rom 4.3 to try a mhl cable. The result as you may know is that I couldn't install any custom rom that wasn't based on samsung's after that.
Searching here in the forums I found some people saying that it was because of a layout change on partitions, others because of knox, or the update in bootloader...
I installed the twrp-2.7.1.0 recovery and tried to install omni rom with pa_gapps, cm11 etc and I always get an error for gapps (couldn't find build.prop or something...). Tried Omega v58 (based on sam) and it worked, then I tried slimkat 4.4.3 weekly and slim_AIO_gapps (advanced wipe, everything but extsd, format data) and it installed everything fine.
It's almost perfect but now I have only a small problem... when I plug the headset the audio is really bad and sometimes I can't hear anything ... I tried another kernel with the same result. Tried slimkat 4.4.2 stable, same.
Does it make any sense to anyone here? any sugestions on how to fix? flash something somewhere maybe :x
and what is the real problem after the 4.3 official update? if slimkat is working maybe we can make other roms work too.
Thank you in advance
Do a full wipe, all your previous issues were due to files left over from other firmware.
On the headset, go back to stock firmware after a full wipe. If still the same then it is hardware.

I still can't install most roms even with full wipe (gapps error) after the 4.3 official update but I'm happy with slimkat. I think maybe it works because it just copies the gapps files to android without doing other checks, maybe editing the scripts we can "force" the install of other roms too. If anyone have any info, please tell me.

Oh, I think it was just a series of bad coincidences. Tried the stock firmware and the headset did not work. Seems like my headset broke the same day all that stuff happened, and I tried the one I use on PC but it didn't connect firmly on s3 so the sound was bad too... just tried a new phone headset and it's working fine.. thank you
Hey Guys
Since many apps don't support GB I was forced to do update.
After flashing with original JB 4.1.2 everything seems to be ok, but there is no way to turn wifi on.
WIFI icon on bar is half-highlighted, tapping on it gets no results......Wifi tethering not working also
Cache and Full Wipe was done, there was suggestion to flash with "siyah kernel" - also not working.
It seems that problem is related to fault ROM file because on ICS and GB wifi works fine......
Any tips? suggestions?
i9100 without wifi is useless :crying:

Did you flash the correct JB update? Maybe try a different STOCK JB rom from a different region.
Or directly try to install a custom ROM, for example CyanogenMod.
Xperia Z Ultra, C6833, CM12.1 (2015 dec 30). Sympthoms: when i start any navigation app, everything is going good, it can see satellites, fix is fast enough, etc; but after few kilometers it loses fix and app cant see satellites, until i reboot the smartphone. A problem exists already 5-6 months (everything was okay in may-june 2015) and I patiently waited for solution from the developers, but there is still nothing. I tried a lot of ways to fix it, but nothing helps. Rom, gapps and recovery - everything was reinstalled a thousand times in a different ways. Unsuccessfully. I tried to edit gps.conf. Unsuccessfully. Everything is damn fantastic with GPS in a stock Sony rom.
Here is a logcat. Satellites were lost at 20:25

Perhaps go back to the ROM you were using when GPS did work. I am using cm 12.1 20151230 GPS works very well for me. Actually, the GPS on the big screen could be the best bit about the phone.

TWRP v2.8.5.0 i think I installed TWRP via rasher or such, I don't often connect to a computer.
Gapps was either slim mini gapps beta 5.1 or L minimal, I don't remember which or where I found them. I would have followed links from one of the ROM pages though.
TWRP was installed before cm when running slim lp I think. I flashed the cm zip from twrp. Twrp survived install.
same problem (cm 12.1 & RR too). I am trying to replace the file gps.conf of stock 5.1.1. It seems better.

I tried to edit gps.conf, but i got only faster connection and more satellites. I suppose, the main problem is in cm kernel - when i install stock sony firmware, everyting is great with gps, as i said... :crying:
