Why so many levels of files - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

When I looked for my Nandroid Backup using Root Explorer I found I had to tap the "0" file over and over before I finally found it. At each level there are all the other files under "Storage". Why would I have so many different levels in the "Storage" directory?
Is it because of all the times I've flashed roms or something? Is it necessary? Is this an Android 4.4.2 thing? It doesn't seem right to me.
I've attached a screeny. Notice how many 0's in the path to this file

Are you wiping the internal storage when you flash roms? This was necessary when moving from 4.1 to 4.3 roms and since that time instructions for flashing suggest wiping everything but the external SD.

There have been a couple times when Recovery has corrupted my SD Card. I've been reluctant to wipe internal storage because if I wiped it and wound up with a bad SD I'd be screwed. Can I remove the card, wipe internal, replace the card and flash a rom from external storage after?
Besides why don't they warn us about the multiple layers of files if we don't wipe internal. Why doesn't the CWM Recovery wipe that stuff on it's own then replace it.

Ok I wiped internal storage and solved the problem. It's still weird though. I never had this happen til I got Kitkat. I like KK though and don't plan to go back to JB. It's all good now. Thanks.

I guess I never asked a question, has anyone else seen this or knows how you address it?

Were you plugged into USB at the time? did it actually have write-access to your SD card? Try rebooting once. Could be one of the numerous glitches we are finding on MIUI....who knows.
No I was not plugged into the usb, I have also tried rebooting, I rebooted into the recovery and cleared both cache files. I also tried repair permissions.
No luck, I am pretty sure this started when I got stuck in a boot loop between builds then I had to odin back to stock and wipe data.
Afterwards I restored from my miui backup then this occurred.
I guess the only thing to try is to wipe all 3 and reinstall without restoring.

I was able to move them to the sd card after uninstalling and reinstalling each individual app.

[Q] Easier way for Data2Ext?

Is there an easier way to active data2ext that I just haven't figured out yet?
Everytime I try a new rom I have to flash data2ext and run the full list of commands in terminal emulator...is there something I'm missing that makes the process a whole lot quicker?
yea, use link2sd
Is that the same as data2ext? I can get my 1 gig of internal memory?

Yesjust backup your whole SD card to your computer and format your sdcard, next in recovery go to advanced/partition SD card and pick what size you want, then download and open link2sd and pick ext 3, reboot your phone and reload your SD card from your computer to your phone, and you will be able to link all of your user apps to your sdcard, giving you virtually unlimited space.

Personally, I like data2ext far better than link2sd

data2ext automatically installs everything to sd. link2sd you can customize which programs to send to sd.
havntt tried data2ext, but link2sd works for me, they added a multiselect option recently and you just move all your apps in one go, i have maybe 40 apps and 230mb on my ext, and 60/200mb or so on my internal

USB Mass Storage

i hate asking questions, let alone for help, but im bewildered and don't know what else to do... a search on the issue leads to other brand devices, so not sure what the deal is....
so im rooted and rom'd running collective aocp and hotwire kernel... i went to update hotwire kernel to latest R5s1... and i keep getting SD Card Marker not found error... I have installed plenty of roms on this phone and have never had this issue...

I even try to choose zip to apply while in rom manager, and it reads my internal phone storage, instead of sd card too, wtf
Trying to remember what ive done differently at this point... and the only thing i think that could be the culprit is i plugged the phone into my usb cable on my laptop and installed the new hotwire zip onto my sd card... instead of normally taking out my sd card, and installing it into an sd card reader and installing stuff that way.... Would/could that have changed something that now makes my external sd card not readable at all on rom manager?? Just confused, not sure what the hell i did wrong.
Rom manager is crap, i really wish that app would just go away, . It does nothing you can't do inside cwm itself, and only seems to cause problems...
I would get the Odin flashable version of braway's cwm touch i have been using it since April without issue.

Are you sure?
Did you validate this with general > sticky roll-up thread > "flashed 4.2? Can't find /sdcard data?"

PRL manual update

I would like to update PRL from phone, manual update. Like other phones that have modified hidden menu apks. From playing with short cut master I found SPROmadmHiddenMenu. Which is part of Software Update, com.lge.lgdmsclient.apk.
Here is an image of the Menu. It seems to look for a PRL to write, I just don't know where to put or what name to make PRL file.

Here is stock LGDMSClient.zip. I can't decompile odex file on my phone, my computer is broken. If anyone can decompile and find out how to do PRL write test, then we should be able to write PRL to our phones.
The s3 used TEST.prl at the root of external sd card if I remember correct. Maybe the g3 can do the same.

I tried from internal sd, I will try external.
Let's hope to see if it works.
Update:
didn't work, could be my external sdcard is formatted with ext4 fs.
If anyone with a normal external sdcard can check please.
