I've looked through the custom roms listed and theres not a whole lot of information given. I'm currently using Wolf_Xperia_4.0.0 and the battery life is kinda horrid.
I prefer Froyo or Gingerbread and want use of my camera. Can anybody help me out with a name or a link?
see if u want gud battery life then go for this Rom with stock kernel ...the battery life is pretty gud as i have experienced !!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1259028
check if it works out for u ..the camera is same as the Stock one only
Thank me if i helped u
I've had good battery life with WB 4.0.4c and so far doing okay with WB 5.0.0, but honestly since everyone's usage is different it's probably better to experiment with different roms rather than have someone tell you which one is best.
I had pretty decent battery life on WB 4.0.4c until I unlocked my boot loader. I used to get two or three days out of it, but this reduced to just six hours. I'm on WB 5.0.0 now and have re-locked my boot loader. Battery life is good. There are most deffinitely issues related to having your boot loader unlocked so if you have unlocked it then I would seriously consider locking it again if you value your battery life.
Thanks guys, going to look into the one linked. What is the WB one you mentioned?
My aunt is a waitress at a busy restaraunt... she gets up and works 8 busy hours (so not on her phone every 5 seconds, maybe checks texts twice a day?) and she gets home below 50% each day. That's pretty horrible.
WB is Wolfbreak's rom. To follow up to my previous post the issue effecting me was the fact that with an unlocked bootloader my phone was not going into deepsleep which was a known issue. This was fixed in DooMLoRD's DooMKernel v05. I have now unlocked my bootloader again and using that kernel along with WB v5. Battery life is good again. I've lost 12% in the past 16 hours. You may also wish to consider calibrating your battery which basically involves charging it to 100%, resetting your battery stats and charging again from 88% and repeating that process a few times. There is a thread about it somewhere. Sorry can't post links right now as I don't have enough posts. Hope this info helps the OP or anyone else with battery issues.
Wolfbreak's rom can be found in the XPERIA X10 Android Development forum. It's a popular thread, can't miss it.
Also to add on, if battery life is a concern, have you tried adjusting the settings? Perhaps turning down the brightness, changing wifi sleep policy, turning off syncing, etc. I would also definitely look into undervolting.
hi,
my phone is Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i), recently i've unlocked the BL and begin installing some custom roms. my first custom rom is Super JB v6 with nAa kernel, it worked flawlessly, but strange, if the battery still has 15% or bit lower, it suddenly down to 1%! and my phone goes off less than 1 minutes later.
i think it has rom/kernel problem, so i changed to some roms & kernels, from flawless ICS, xNXT until now im using MIUI Life. bad luck, it GETTING WORSE! now if my phone still has 80% battery life, it goes 1%!. i think its battery problem, but after 80% to 1% shutted down, i turned on again, and going to CWM recovery. i'm doing nothing here unless to keep my screen on for checking if it actually battery problem, it should shut down for a seconds. but i've waiting until about an half hour, my phone still ON.
WTF is the problem? is my phone really bricked?
P.S. clearing battery stats don't works, and i believe that was just myth.
any answer will be appreciated. thanks
Reflash to Stock FTF and then flash a ROM ...Try being on Stock ROM for a few days IMO and check if it persists ...Get a new battery and check it ...It more looks like a faulty sensor imo ...
Am I right?
Is it possible (if unlocked propertly) to brick phone? I had never briked... But had mano bootloops and etc... But after flashing everything right all problems are solved. Am I missing something?

Battery broken
its likely my battery has been broken, flashing stock ROM doesn't help, it even worst. charging phone for 2 hours, can be used for 5 (possible less) minutes only. so i bought new battery and wait till arrived.
Don't be sad just is a lesson
This is chance for you buy new phone
confirmed, its Battery problem. i bought new one, and now works like charm. Thanks all for trying to help me
I recently installed CM11 on my i757m. While I love the ROM, I am not loving the JB radio (JB_modem_I757MUGMC5) so much. I seem to get a few less bars, and lose LTE more often. but the real killer is is the GPS performance. It seems to take 10 or 15 min to get satallite lock if at all. It will usualy be tracking 12 or so satallites, but can not seem to do the math to get a lock.
Any tips of fixing the GPS issue? I already tried several of the apps that are supposed to help...
If I were to decide to downgrade to an ICS ROM/Radio, what would people suggest for a good everyday use ROM?
EDIT: Skydragons kernel was the culprit. Not saying everyone who flashes his kernel will have battery drain. My phone just reacts to it differently than yours. But Flashing stock kernel or xdabbeb's Rom will fix this issue if you have it. I'm Currently running xdabbeb's Rom getting over 5 hours Sot again. I uploaded my new battery stats with gsam. CHEERS! :highfive:
Ever since I updated to 35b I've been experiencing terrible battery life compared to cloudys Rom where I went 20 hrs on battery and 5-6 hours sot. Now I can barely reach 3 hours sot. I've been trying to fix the battery problem for about a week now to no avail. Usually it's the android os eating the most battery. How can I fix that? I was running jasmine 9.1 Rom but battery life was terrible then I went to skydragon 6.0.1 and the battery life is still terrible for me. I'm currently running skydragon 6.0.1 any help is appreciated.

Sorry, didn't realize I posted in general
Back to cloudy i go until the 35b modem is fixed. It Seems that I'm having bad signals. Never had that problem before. And the 35b modem doesn't even work. It could also be the Rom so back to cloudy until further updates I guess..
The 35B modem won't work on JasmineROM 9.x and SkyDragon 6.x because in order to use it you need to have the 35B bootloader. The problem is for rooted with custom recovery that so far, you can't get into custom recovery with anything but the 12B bootloader, which is the reason why they have the 24B modem to begin with.
Sorry to hear you're having battery time issues. For what it's worth, my phone really likes JasmineROM 9.1, screen time and all.

Did you do a full factory reset? I'm running Jasmine 9.1 and I've ran both the normal kernel and SkyDragon kernel (for 35b) and battery life has been excellent. Did you dirty flash 9.1 over 9.0 or some other ROM? The instructions specifically state to do a full, clean flash. When you flash Jasmine, it states to first wipe system/data/cache/dalvik. Then, after you flash the ROM and boot into it, do a full factory data reset (it's required).
If you haven't done that, I'd say that is your problem.
You could also try going into TWRP and wiping cache and dalvik to see if that fixes your issue. If not, I would suggest an FDR and see how that goes and then finally, reflash it all, following the instructions I listed above.

i did the fdr yesterday and got 7 hrs on battery with slightly over 4 hrs sot. is it normal for stock? android os is still the main culprit for the battery drain.
JasmineROM 9.1 debloated my own way with Xposed and no battery saving apps or modules, yesterday:

but android os wasnt eating your battery in the first shots you posted and you said battery was bad.
now is about 30% which is high, the 5% from your first pics is about normal.
couple things,
-get gsam battery monitor, that stock monitor is garbage and wont help determine anything really.
- frequently, roms can take up to a couple days to settle in. so any battery issues you have in the first day or 2 carry Little merit.
- its good to reboot a few times each day for a day or 2 to help things settle.
- different modems can affect battery life a lot, because weaker signal is a big battery drainer. when you upgraded to 35b it got changed, then got changed again when you flashed jasmine. it would be helpful to put the one back on you had before all that, if you know what it was. if you dont know, because you never changed it, it likely was from whatever stock you had on before trying 35b.

Tyvm for the detailed response! I also thought it would be the modems as well. What I did after flashing back to skydragon from Jasmine was flash the 35b modem then seen that I had no signal lol. I knew it would happen but wanted to test my luck. Then I flashed 24b modem and all was well again. Idk tho. Shoudl I flash different 5.0 modems and test the battery life? I will be getting gsam and testing for a couple of days and report back to you. Thank you again.

sure, its a good idea to test the modems. everyone reports different modems working best for them, so advice on this is useless really. you will have to do your own tests to see which is best for you.
right or wrong, i have always judged how well a modem works based on its performance in the worst signal area i commonly visit. thats really where you will use the most battery on a bad signal, so making that better if possible always helps.

No. I can get a full day and half depending on what I'm doing.
Now, here's my question. During the 4 hours of screen on time, what are you doing? If you're constantly playing games, etc, that's going to drain your battery no matter what. Games especially will drain the battery.
Otherwise, you have another run away process or a bad battery.

i rarely ever game. im a heavy web browser and facebooker lol. thats mainly all i do. with occasional snapchatting. it cant be the battery as i bought my device new. and i only had the device for 6/7 months. and on cloudys rom and gabriels kernel i get over 5 hours sot everytime. 20-30 hrs on battery. but once i flashed 35b im getting high battery drains. and it looks like android os is killing it. android os uses 32% of battery. and it was never that high on cloudys rom. i tested the modems and i never drop down to 3g with any of the modems i flashed. i always have 3 bars of 4g or higher everytime....
@bweN diorD @iBolski I'm starting to think it's the kernel. My phone never liked skydragons kernel. In fact, when I first owned this phone back in April of this year the first Rom I flashed was skydragons kit Kat Rom and I could barely go over 4 hrs sot like I'm experiencing now.

Try the stock kernel, I believe the SkyDragon ROM installer gives the choice.
Title says it all, made the mistake of upgrading to Oreo and now stuck with relentless battery drain issues. Tried everything short of reflashing so far and failed. Nearly everything is disabled even after full wipe and reset (hard) and its still pretty bad in terms of battery life. So I signed up here looking for ways to salvage the hardware, perhaps by downgrading back to Nougat if I still can or installing something better and different altogether. I've read folks having luck with the cell standby drain by installing a nougat/oreo mash but couldn't find specific details on how to do this. Also this doesn't seem to fix the android system drain issue but its at least a start. I have basic experience using Kies and Odin, helped a couple relatives with boot looping tabs in the past. Please advise on the best path forward to make use of my new phone.
Have you tried installing 7.0?
What version of Oreo did you install? I myself installed a TMO Ver G930TUVU4CRI2 but running on ATT network. I rooted and debloated and I am blown away how smooth this runs with fantastic battery life.

I feel your pain. I was in the same situation, spending days to find a solution to these battery drain while stuck on this buggy version. And I tried everything...basic battery saving related stuff, disabling pretty much everything on the phone, monitoring everything, even changing the battery.
For now, the only thing that fix the problem for me was using a 3rd party app to force the phone to connect to none LTE network. I don't know where the bug lies: android, samsung or att side? or maybe it is because I'm out of US on another carrier who is using other freq but it is a shame. I don't think there will ever be a fix for that unfortunatly...
