[Q] Is my HTC bricked ? What to do now ? - HTC Desire X

Well, last year in may I bought the HTC Desire X. After a few months the Sense 4+ UI started to be boring and I looked for some Custom Roms. Finally I found the "mysensedx5 RC_4.0. I unlocked my Bootloader, rooted it and flashed the Rom. I don´t know whether I flashed a new Kernel.
Because I´m charging my phone every evening, its always on. After some months I forgot charging my DX and it went off. I charged the phone over the night and the next morning I tried to boot it. The phonalf minute there was a warning : ´´Htc.Message session was canceled´´(or something similar) and a half minute later it went off. I tried it often to reeboot, but alway there was this warning and my DX went off. So I made a Wipe through the Recovery. Always it worked and my phone was no usable again, after it booted. Yesterday I wanted to get in my new SIM-Card. After switching of the DX I made a Cache/Dalvik Wipe. But something went terribly wrong: After the HTC bootlogo there was a black screen. The Screen as ON, but it was just black. I tried to reflash the Custom-Rom vainly. After looking vainly, too, for some RUU´s and a nandroid Backup I´m very desperate now. What should I do now ? Is my phone bricked ?

how did you solve your problem...help me .m in the same situation.

You habe to make a wipe or everything. Then you should flash your boot.IMG via fastboot, install the Rom and reboot the phone.
That's all.

Try installing a different ROM and see if you get the same problem. Maybe something is corrupt in your current ROM
Have you tried clearing your dalvik & regular cache?
Well I've never flashed a rom yet and I did wipe the cache and delvic I'm just running stock 2.3 ota should I flash a rom if so which one is most stable .
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
I'd recommend flashing romracers recovery then installing picrust from there. Since you're new to this, picrust should be a good place to start.
Good luck!

Well im not new to roms bootloaders or flashing I have had evo 4g I have rom racer recovery already so you guys think its a problem with the stock rom then?

Maybe the way its loaded onto your phone in particular is causing the problem. I've had the same rom on my phone and its international.

Judging by your post it seems your Atrix is not turning on. That is an issue.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Well yes its a issue lol any idea how to fix I can make if turn on by wiping caches and factory reset then restore with titanium backups .then if runs and functions fine then craps out so your opinion hardware or software im within my 30 days AT&T may get it back I hope they don't notice the bootloader is unlocked though lol.

Try fixing permissions through ROM manager, I find that when flashing a new ROM weird things happen and this usually fixes it. I'm hoping it's something as simple as that, because if not you may have a hardware problem.
you can prolly just go back to stock from a fruit cake and then start over .
Im going to try something this is getting old real quick. I want to turn my phone off sometimes just wish I new it would boot backup.

[Q] HTC One X Plus Stuck In Bootloop ... HELP

So my HTC One X Plus is stuck in bootloop. Here is what happened. I just got the phone and the first thing I did was unlock it. Everything was fine. Next I went to root it using RootBootV5. Here is where the issue came up. At the end of the root process my phone should have loaded the lock screen. Instead it just sat on the White HTC quietly brilliant. Stayed that way for hours.
So i rebooted into bootloader and tried everything I can possibly think of to fix it, Factory Reset, Fastboot Erase Cache, even folloed this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1609190.
Nothing is working and I don't know what to do. I don't think the phone was successfully rooted so i cant simply flash a new rom. Also recovery is not working, just a black screen.
PLEASE HELP.
You can try to reflash a recovery using fastboot. If you can do that maybe you can flash another rom. Also, wern't you able to wipe cache at all because of the black screen?

I had clear the cache through command prompt on my PC.
If you can boot into the bootloader, use the appropriate RUU

Thanks! I was looking for a program like that.
Had it too this morning... I had the wrong kernel installed. I'm using this and additionally installed this
Turn your phone off and then on with the vol-down button pressed, enter fastboot, connect it to your pc (will switch to fastboot USB) and use (from sdk) fastboot-command 'fastboot boot boot boot-BLADE-CM10-201212092302.img" to update the kernel. Hope this helps.

Similar issue, details a bit different
Phone: HTC One X+
Carrier: ATT
Rooted: Never, stock phone
Previous Research: I searched the forums and found similar issues, but mostly only for rooted phones, to which this does not apply. I spent at least an hour pouring through various threads and using the fancy advance search. I swear I'm doing my very best to not be TFNG...but, I still haven't found the answer and I'm giving in.
The Problem: Random rebooting
In the last 24 hours this has happened at least 18 times that I've been able to count. It happens when I'm using the phone, and when I'm not using it. It's showing no signs of stopping, and has been seemingly getting worse. Now it's beginning to lag severely through out all apps, has trouble loading my home screen, and in addition, flashes back to home when in an app.
Troubleshooting:
Rebooting
Uninstalling all recently installed aps
Force Stop on all unnecessary apps through Task Manager
Factory Reset
Assumptions:
Likely hardware related and I have to send it back to ATT and get a replacement
Conclusion:
In your time spent in this forum and in all your readings, have you come across a resolution for the issue that isn't "send it back?"
Sincere Thanks for any and all feedback.

[Q] [Help] TWRP / ROMs

Hello,
I am fairly noobish when it comes to phones but I have had a rooted OG EVO and now i have had a rooted EVO LTE. When i first rooted my LTE i flashed the meanbean rom and then a few months after that i decided to try out other roms suchs as CM10, Paranoid, and maybe a few others that didn't last too long. I just tried to go back to meanbean and it loaded about 75% and was just stuck. I let it sit there for about 45 minutes and nothing ever happened. I forced a restart and restored to a previous backup. When my phone booted up I noticed that it was acting funny and I later found out that some how my internal storage device was messed up. I eventually mounted my phone to my computer in TWRP and reformated so it now works as it should. I went to try and flash meanbean and it again freezes at the same spot. When i try to flash another ROM my phone beings to flash it and then it will randomly restart back into recovery. I have no idea why it is doing this. I tried to run my phone's RUU but my computer wont find my phone connected to it. When i try to use HTC Sync it also will not find my phone.
Sorry for the wall of text but at this point I am wanting to just start over completely fresh bc i feel that all of this flashing, restoring, and reformatting has really messed up my phone. Currently my phone has issues with it's calls. I sound as though i am very far away and I have never had this problem before so i am not sure where that issue is coming from.
If anyone has any kind of advice on what I should do please please help me! I can post any kind of information or clarification that is needed.
Thanks a ton in advanced!

I am not. When i try to flash the newest version from bootloader it says, "Current version is newer" (or something similar to that) and then it will just boot loop in bootloader until i delete the zip from the sdcard.
Download goomanager from the market and use option to install open recovery script

wow. didn't realize i could do that from goomanager! thanks a ton ill post back with results soon.
seems to be working perfectly! thank you so much.

[Q] I need help please. HTC One wont stay on.

Ok so here the deal. I have an HTC One M7 At&t model. I unlocked, rooted, s-off'd my phone. I was trying to flash the Android Revolution HD 6.1 GPE rom using twrp and it reported success. It seemed as if everything was working fine until the Google boot animation disappears. It tells me to select a language, than i select english, and i might make it as far as searching for a wifi access point. But no mater how far i get, my phone only stays on for about 3 seconds and then reboots. I tried wiping everything( yes Dvlk cache). I tried powering down my phone and plugging it into a wallcharger for 3+hours. I need help here. How can I get my phone working, preferably with the Android Revolution rom? But I am currently downloading stock with Sense just in case. Help me XDA, you are my only hope.

I did try a factory reset, if you mean the one in Twrp. And i would use that rom, but the only reason I rooted my phone was to flash the Google Play editon. I really really dislike att apps and sense. makes it feel clunky to me. Any other suggestions?
P.S thank you for the reply
So i loaded up the stock rom
I loaded the stock rom and it works again. But i still one a working 4.4kitkat GPE rom for the att htc one.... any sugestions
This will sound crazy
Make sure you've got a backup ROM on your phone.
Flash your new ROM. When it reboots, boot into TWRP again, and reflash the ROM a second time.

Off hand the most likely scenario is the kernel didn't get flashed with the rest of the ROM. This is a known issue with TWRP and CWM on devices that are s-on. Try again with ext4 recovery and enable smart flash. It seems to be the recovery with the least amount of problems with this device, especially those that are s-on, and is the solution recommended by most devs here.
Thanks, i will try this and tell you if it is solved.

Here again. I have tried what u mentioned .flashed ex4 recovery and tried to flash the rom via that smart thing enabled and when the phone booted up it rebooted when PIN was entered. After that tried to wipe dalvik but it got worse cuz phone got bootloop now. Any ideas?
When flashing by smart flash on you have to flash the kernel seprately

Or the link might have gone bad one another user is also saying the same about cm but there is one more possibility the cm roms are usually quite a lot undervolted i think sports device supports it i had this problem on cm 11 and overvolting did the job but you guys cant even get to the main screen how are you going to overvolt you might just have to edit the kernel which i have no experience of.

If smart-flash is properly enabled the kernel will flash with the ROM. That's one of the main purposes of smart-flash.
To the OP: obviously you were able to successfully install the ROM this time since you didn't bootloop and were OK until you entered a PIN for the lockscreen. So this issue is different than the first, where you weren't even getting to the lockscreen. The first thing I would try is wiping then reinstalling CM from recovery. This time just try using it without a PIN for an hour and see if you have other issues. Only then set a PIN. If it crashes after setting a PIN, but was working fine before, you know there is a bug in that part of the ROM. If it begins crashing sooner then something else is the problem.
