Can we hope to see at-least a port of Paranoid Android 4.5 or the latest 4.6?
this ones based on Cyanogenmod right? (correct me if not)
and i see a pretty stable build of CM11 from "percy_g2" using it since yesterday no fc's, no ui crashes nothing!!!
So would someone be able to port it?

as of now very few developers have shown interest in developing moto e, so i think it will take long time before such thing turn in to reality

yes.
i did see a porting guide for paranoid tho, but i you know **** like "compiling frm scratch" goes over your mind XD.
lets leave that^ to the developers.
if there was a guide like an easy to do copy paste thing. we could have ported it using this cm build.
back in the day we could port miui rightt bysuch a way.
moreover is the developer edition of our device happening ?
if so we might attract some developers maybe. if that happens, i dont think it might happen well

True mate, lot of guides are there but a normal user who do not have any basic knowledge of compiling will be stuck with a bricked device. I think there is no developer edition of our phone going to happen any soon.

As the title says, is there no developer interested in porting PACman to this phon, not to be disrespectfull or anything cause i really apreciate the work and time you are givind to this phone, but I'm kinda angry when i see that even my dad's phone (HTC Desire HD) has android 4.2.2 PACman, and most other phones for that matter, and this phone didnt even have android 4,1,2 or 4.2.1 PACman, I meant i know there was a Paranoid build, but Paranoid Android is missing too many features i need (or want) from AOKP and CM (like lockscreen shortcuts), so my question is if isn't there any developer working or porting PACman to this phone, or at least adding Paranoid Settings to one of the allready existing AOKP or CM roms?
The devs get requests like this every day. I think it's a little unfair, devs are people too, they have lives, jobs and families just like us. Still they have brought us many roms. And they promise even more like ubuntu os. I think we should all be grateful for what we have. And if a dev does decide to port one of our favourite roms.... Bonus . If not, maybe it's time to do a little research on rom development, maybe try building a rom. If a dev see's "a normal" user putting alof of effort into a certain project, theres more chance they will step in and try to help

honestly Pacman is not worth doing.... it creates issues with other devs apps on the market, and i honestly don't fancy getting the rage from app devs

lol, first as I tryed to say it was not a request, more of a question if its comeing or not, and also i allready tryed to build my own rom, did a try with something easyer, and i was thinking i learned all i needed and downloaded the sources for cm9 and then tryed and it took me 5 days to manage to figure out how to get it build a flashable zip, cause it wouldnt build a zip file (not talking about this phone, and was long ago for my dads htc desire hd), and after that it ofc failed when i flashed it as in 1st i forgot to sign it and it didnt flash, then i did sign it and flashed, then flashed boot.img and ofc got a fail, wouldnt even get after the htc boot screen, so yah, if i could belive me i would try to build PACman, atm i only know the basic android things, like decompiling, compiling, smaling, backsmaling and signing apks, dont even remember how and what i did in my try to build cm9, and yah, im preety sure id fail again, plus at the time i tryed that i had a bit of time, now i have exams every week, so i totally understand the devs are bussy people and as i sayd or at least tryeing to say this was a question and not a request, i can live without it, even if i will silently hope it will happen one day

I dont really understand what you are trying to say, you meant some apps are not working on PACman, cause thats what I understand, also sorry for takeing your time?
EDIT: NVM this question/request, i just found the xposed framework and the xposed app settings and those make exactly what i want, im so happy now, for those that want to know what im talking about: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401 (for the xposed framework) and http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/threads/xposed-app-settings.5486/ (for the app settings)
Does anybody know if AOKP or CyanogenmMod are working on updating their roms to Android L?
I know it's officially just for Nexus 5 and 7 at this point, but Im interested to know if they will port this to other devices,
specifically our precious Galaxy S3.
Thanks in advance for your input, guys.
I guess when Google will push the source of Android L to AOSP, CM and others can start working on it. But before that I don't think we'll get Android L.

Do you think that will in the next few weeks, or just in the fall, when the system gets officially released?

of course they will, but only when it gets officialy released
it's hard to port from a dev. image and it's harder of the S3 (no sources and all)

Thanks a lot for the info.
At least now I'll know not to hold my breath.
I would really want to get my hands on L but people THINK for a second Google didn't even released the L yet and you want CyanogenMod L on your phones. Use your brains. When the code will be released we will be able to start thinking about porting. Not earlier. WAIT and CyanogenMod will do something for our phones but only whet the L is published. NOT EARLIER. By the way if you want to have L on your phone MOVE YOUR A** and start porting.

I would have ported it already, but google hasn't released the AOSP yet. Have a little patience, will you?

Honestly I'm also find this thread annoying as this is not the only post with the same content, there are still tons out there, I've seen the same post all over XDA. HOWEVER, there's no reason for you to behave this rude. Man here is XDA. If you want to show your attitude go somewhere else. If you want to throw harsh words on others go somewhere else. Seriously you need to mind your words.
Hey folks,
Do you know if there are any developers working on porting Android L Developers Preview to our G2?
It's just that the Nexus 5 and the LG G2 are very similar on hardware, it seems like it's not that complicated.
Thanks.
Please don't move the thread to Q&A, it's less a question and more a discussion.
you already have a thread(s) with this question and it's been answered just a few days ago...

Well, depends on how difficult it is to port it to the G2. If it's difficult and could take a lot of time I agree with you, start developing a ROM would be a waste of time.
But if it's an easy work (as I said earlier, the Nexus 5 and the G2 are similar) then making a ROM that matches the exact one running on the Nexus without any more features, would be very nice and something to play with until the full version comes out. And my guess is that the full L will be close (in the way of how it works) to the preview, so it might help developing later.
I think will be develop L port for our device after will be published official L sources by google

I agree with you. It would be fun to play with. I don't see why it's such a pain to do seeing that the devices are so close in specs.
Giga they are close in specs with chipset and screen but they have lots of differences regarding hardware. Its also hard to port an android version what your phone doesn't have yet and also taking the risk to do it the biggest problems are the kerne i guess. It would be theoritically possible to just flash the android l from the nexus 5 on the g2 and it might boot but its highly risky and things like wifi etc probably don't work and it could cause screen problems like the stripes issue since we don't know yet what it causes to get like that.

I know this is going to be a somewhat complicated process, but I'm willing to stick with it.
I'm willing to upgrade to any ROM, really, I'm not picky. If nobody suggests anything different, I'll just go with Cyanogenmod. What I really want is Android M running on the device as soon as possible. Which ROM gets that update out the quickest? I'm a complete beginner at everything you can think of, but I can read and I have a computer, so I can follow tutorials just fine.
Any ideas which ROM I should upgrade to when the time comes? (I mean, if any developers have announced the update to M and their support for the Mate2). If not, my main question is when will Cyanogenmod developers start building on Android M? And when do you think it will get over to the Mate2?
EDIT: I know it hasn't come out yet, but sometimes developers announce that their ROM will be based on some new version of android before it even comes out.
Both PAC and CM are nice. I run CM because I prefer the stick android experience . PAC has more bells and whistles. Personal preference really. SuperBass has made videos on both of them. As well as installing each one.
M will probably never make it to the HAM2. CM works great and is easy to install. Just jump in there with both feet.

Well, to get there, I'd have to downgrade to Jellybean, upgrade to Lollipop, and then start the CM install, which I'm likely to **** up. It's gonna be more like a couple of slow hops in different directions.

Yeah, I was wondering about M. So the official Huawei devs won't update to Android M, but won't CM be updated to be based on it? Is that how it works, or am I mistaken?
I am under the impression that CM has official developers who actually work on the ROM. Then other developers use that and make it available for different devices. Therefore, Android M will be coming to the Mate2 as long as CM is updated by the official developers and it gets support for the device, right?

No, that's not how it works, actually. Huawei would have to release the HAM2 specific M code for other ROMs to use it. I am about 99.9 percent sure that Huawei will not build M for the HAM2 so it dies on the vine, so to speak.

So CM isn't a base that device developers tweak to work with specific devices? Do you mean that CM is developed over what the phone manufacturers release?

Devs need manufacturer kernel source to build off of. Someone can PORT M to this phone. But I seriously doubt that happens. Huawei will surely NOT release M. They barely managed L. And that was only due to so many complaining about no support.

Yes, CM is often used as a base that other devs use to add their stuff on top of. But, if the manufacturer doesn't release their code (which includes drivers and such), then there will be no CM. Yes, CM is developed over what the phone manufacturers release.
If available, can you please provide me a link on how to install it?
There is none and wont ever be for this phone. Never anything gets to stable state for this device devs just keep moving on to *new builds*. Either inexperianced devs try to build custom roms and fail then abondon project or they switch to other projects

Not really... Sony is the one giving them AOSP base that they just compile and show here as work in progress... But when it comes to fixing they just dump it sad truth. Other phones with same hardware already have custom roms

Let me explain you, Sony barely supports us; this phone was never officially supported in the open devices program, and there was times when we could boot aosp roms, but mostly they don't boot. Why? We don't pretty much know, but what we do know is that this is a crappy phone for reasons that I can't tell you. So, the best you could do is wait, and understand the devs because they are surely working, and if you want news, stop bothering them, and check out their git accounts.
Finally, you just have to know that we are not magicians, we work with what we are given.
