Thinnest Portrait Kickstand Case - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

Since discovering that the stylus can be used as a landscape kickstand, I'm now looking for a thin kickstand case that supports portrait mode. Landscape mode would be a nice plus, but not necessary, especially if it comes at the cost of thickness/weight.
I've been using the evecase slim tpu case, and it's very thin and light, but the somewhat flimsy kickstand only works in landscape.
Anyone have any recommendations?

Nice! I didn't know about the stylus kickstand trick. Thanks

another g1 owner looking for another g1 case - but with a twist

so after finding out there is not an otterbox case for the g1 (booooo!) I have started to think that it would be great to find another styled case that is snug fit for the g1. That got me to realizing the lack of snugness in most g1 cases is from the keyboard and having to flip out the screen. I got my g1 off of ebay and it came with one of those little thin plastic cases and a little plastic case i slip the g1 into. Also the keyboard flipping out is the only flimsy part of the phone and I like my phones to have a solid build. THus...
does anyone use any cases have a very snug fit (like otterbox) but that does not allow the keyboard to flip out. I have begun to like the on screen keyboard especially after using it in landscape mode. Perhaps I can go without hte keyboard and then when needed, take off the case and be like 'ha! take that trendy iPhone user!!'..
so any cases that will enclose the g1 leaving the trackpad and buttons and screen exposed???? I guess the cases do not have to be made for the g1 but should be tested and fit snugly (did i mention i like a snug fit?)
cheers

Modify your own case....that's the only option. The G1 has a terrible design, Ill admit it. The cases that were released for this device were awful....believe me I owned six of them and guess what I use now...No case...just the stock pouch that I thought was "Dorky" when I got it.
I keep it in the pouch so that way the phone doesn't get messed up in my pocket...and when I want to use the phone I pull it out of the pouch and wala.
Not to mention that I really like the feel of the G1 with no case on it in my hand.
For the record though, the best case I ever owned was the Body Glove. Problem is that it starts to fall apart after awhile (like most things).
It fits very snug though, and I know thats a priority for you.
I use a silicone case which fits around the back and the chin. For the screen, I just use one of the plastic pieces from one of the harder cases. Seems to work without adding too much bulk.
do you guys have links to your cases??
still looking for a rocking otterbox style case for my g1..
is there any phone that has the same or close dimensions that an otterbox would fit on a g1?????
CaseLogic makes a nice, sturdy, magnetic-closure, horizontal leather belt-style case that fits the G1.

oh sweet! Do you have a link to it? I have searched for a caselogic g1 case but cannot find one..
The pouch for the Nexus One fits very snug around the G1. You could try and con HTC outa one or see what a replacement costs.

looking for a dock that fits with the tpu case

I've got an evo 3d with a tpu case and am looking for a dock that it would fit in so I can dock it while I'm at work.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
Already a few threads on this. With that said I have the exomount universal mount and its great 20$ on Amazon and it sticks really well the grip is strong and sized well enough I can miss both the volume and camera buttons I've used it with no case ballistic soft gel and the platinum cases all with no problem.

So you use a car mount at work? It sticks to your desk pretty good? The desks in my office would not allow a suction cup to stick. I'm about ready to make my own to work with a tpu.
I have the Ebay dock with a spot in the back for an extra better. Queue great with many thin cases. Tpu, Otterbox commuter, Seidio Surface, Otterbox Impact, etc. I have 0 complaints and I've had it since just after the Evo 3D launch

igrip works with tpu and hard case. i have it and its awesome.
I'm using a spider podium at work. I wanted a dock that I could use in portrait mode - and the spider podium works great once I got it shaped the right way. It's sturdy enough that I can use my phone and swipe as usual.
I'm surprised no one's made a dock that could be used in both portrait and landscape mode. It would just need L-shaped material - with the phone dropped in in landscape, then rotated as needed. It would seem an easy enough feature to add.

Face-out holster?

I'm looking for a face-out holster, or some kinda holster/case combo that protects the camera with a flap like the Seidio Convert (not available for SGS2).
My screen has a scratch protector film on it, but my camera is naked. I like to put my phone in my backpack sometimes but I'm scared that the camera will get scratched. Also, I'd like the ability to quickly glance at the phone on my hip instead of taking it out of the holster to look at it. A face-out holster would solve these issues.
The face-out holster is why my iPhone 3GS' camera is still new
Ghost Armor, either full or front and sides, comes with a piece just for the camera square, not rectangle, just the actual square. And ghost armor comes with a lifetime guarantee.
Not the answer you were looking for, I know, but going this route let's you choose any belt holster and still have the camera protected.

Best Case with Portrait and Landscape Kickstand

Please no cases with only portrait nor only landscape kickstand. Ideally the case should protect against small drops yet not add too much to phone thickness. I have the Verizon kickstand case which would be perfect but offers no protection at all to top or bottom edges when held in portrait view. A drop could damage metal trim on those edges. Ideas? Thanks for your participation!

To be honest the Verizon case is going to be the most versatile with portrait and landscape viewing. Hell even allows you to set the phone up in Reverse portrait which is awesome when you want to use the S Pen. I have the same concern although I do like the slimness and it add a lot of utility especially with the holster. In the end though I really don't like how it looks in takes away from the notes aesthetics. This is why I might just end up getting a nice looking TPU case or not and get the fly grip. The fly grip if you haven't heard of it is a genius little device that sticks on the back of your phone and allows you to actually hold the phone one handed you put two fingers securely in the device and when you want to use it as a kickstand it does both ways as well. They are even giving away free complimentary TPU cases or a carbon fiber skin.

Ingenious device. I just watched a video. In my "case" it wouldn't be ideal because I use a leather holster and it would snag. I don't like the hard belt clip type holder on the vzw case because the top of the clip sticks into my side when I sit down.

I wonder if a TPU bumper could work with the Verizon kickstand case...
What's that?

Any thin and elegant portrait+landscape kickstands out there?
I like access to buttons. If case is too thick for that it's too thick for me.

The kickstand on this case is similar to the pop case above. Not sure if it will work or not in portrait orientation, but it's slim, brand name, and has open access to the buttons.

Looking awesome, how about this one!
I've ordered this case: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310823224705?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
And this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amzer-Kicks...&qid=1389744178&sr=8-24&keywords=amzer+note+3
Both should be arriving any day now. The Ebay one looks like it'll add bulk but to be fair it is classed as a rugged case and the Amazon one looks pretty slim. Both seem to lock into portrait and landscape. I can do a short review when they get delivered if anyone is interested.
I'm interested .

Great Note 12.2 Case

Ok, i am very picky when it comes to picking out cases and similar accessories, and ittook me a while to find the right case that i wanted for the tablet.
I settled on this one http://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-12-2/dp/B00IT3UBX6
It is great. It fits well, the silicon is soft, the handholds are great, and the kickstand is useful.
My only gripes are that the kickstand is only one angle, and it doesnt come with a screen protector, but i bought tech armor and it works great. I also would have liked to see a detachble screen cover, but it would not have made much sense with this case, i just like havign a shell over the screen when storing it in a bag or something so that nothing crackz the screen. I also would worry ab I ut the seals around the screen. Its not waterproof and not advertised as much, but it you do spille something i wor3ry about it leakingunder the case and being a oain to clean, but this can be an issue with most shells.
Overall, i would recommend this case, especially for the price.

I also considered this case too, but I really need it to have a portrait mode. I would definitely get this case if I had a screen protector as I can never install the protectors without imperfections.
