Do you want to change to notification tone or remove it? You can just turn it off in settings if you just wanted it off.
edit: I see the files in /system/media/audio/notifications but don't know where the defaults are for events....sry.

You know, when you select the notification sounds asking you if you wanna use the android sounds or some other files. I clicked the "use by default for this action"
I would like to undo that.

I haven't seen that prompt myself.
But if it was from an application (or system app) you can go into settings->Applications (click the menu key to filter and see system apps)->Click the application that you want->scroll down and click "Change defaults".
Next time the action is performed it will prompt you for your default action.

That's where I get stuck. I'm not sure which one is the one for system sounds.
Nevermind...It was the "Android system"
Thank you!
Hey guy, I am hoping someone can help me with this because it's starting to get really frustrating. My G3 is very laggy. When I am texting, it will freeze for a few moments and then catch up, sometimes missing some letters that I have typed so I have to redo it. It lags with playing games, or pressing the on-screen back button... there is a very noticeable lag.. is there any way to fix this at all?

There is no dial code for Sprint G3 as far as I know.
you have to use shortcut master in order to access the rest of the hidden menu settings such as Thermal dae

Under developer options you can select whether you want to use dalvik (ODEX) or ART (precompiled apps).
But: have you tried to remove new apps you had installed? Maybe they are causing your problem.

Settings/developer options; probably you don't have this menu item
Try to install osmonitor from market, and turn on "show cpu usage"
Just to check if nothing runs in the background.
Developer options menu is unlocked by doing the following...
Go to General tab (or section if you're not in tabbed mode)
Select 'About Phone'
Select 'Software information'
Tab 'Build number' (KVT49L.LS990ZV4) 7 times - you'll see a countdown pop-up after the first few taps
You have now unlocked Developer options menu under General tab (or section)
I ended up calling Sprint and had them reset the services and reactivate the phone. After this and updating PRL and Profile, it is running smooth as butter.

DAMN! That sucks. :crying:
Hope the devs are listening and implement it soon. Whats the use of a android pc if we cant even record some gameplay footage or some tutorials for noobs. Such a shame.
I recently installed the 8.3 dev Rom by xiaomi.eu after using so called "stable" Roms only and discovered, that there is a new option in the screen settings saying now "double tap to wake screen".
But when I activate this option nothing happens. It has no effect. So what's the point?
I restarted the device and checked in the Kernel Adiutor app if there is an option to activate it from there but nothing. Has anyone an idea if it is possible and if it's not, then why is there this option in the first place??
No!
No such option!! even using search in settings (see pics below)

Yes nevermind. I got that option because of the xposed module Miui Tweaks. There you can select it and it activates it in the main settings. But if the device doesn't support it then it doesn't work.
Sorry, I didn't know that Miui Tweaks would add entries in the regular options.
Anybody know what this is? It will let me turn it on, but I don't know what it is.
Not exactly the answer you were looking for here.
Although I don't have the answer for you, but could you help me with any link or instruction to get into secret or service menu ?
For hidden menu try (for Verizon Wireless ##228378 (+ send)
Or do you just mean turn on developer options menu? To enable Developer Options, go to About phone in Settings, then tap Build number seven times.
