[Q] Eternal question, hopefully a new angle: FB Messenger archive - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ancient problem: Facebook messages deleted. Not archived. I know these can't be restored.
BUT an idea popped to my mind. If the conversation took place in the Facebook Messenger app might there be an archive of a sort in the phone (Samsung S7560 Galaxy TREND) storage somewhere? And can it be accessed? I imagine it's not an easy task and most likely requires a computer and copying all of the contents of the phone etc. but I really want to give it a shot.
I must add that I am not programmer or developer so if you have any ideas or suggestions describe them like you would describe it to your grandpa.
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Tweetcaster - How to transfer/Backup Direct Messages

Hello people,
To those who are familiar with the Tweetcaster App and bored to read a lot.
I am an everyday Twitter and Tweetcaster user.
I am trying to find a way to Backup (and probably transfer to another android phone) the Direct Messages that the application has stored in my phone.
There is no button for that.
I tried to copy/paste the “Tweetcaster” folder from my Samsung Galaxy S’ memory. Didn’t work.
For those who want more details and explanation.
Let’s say that I bought a new phone, and I want to transfer my Direct Message Data from the old one, to the new one.
1. Fact: Twitter.com archives ONLY the ~200 latest Direct messages to their server. Everything older, is deleted, and cannot be retrieved.
2. Fact: In my old phone, I have access to ALL Direct Messages, I have sent or received via Tweetcaster since I start using that phone. More than 1000 Direct Messages.
3. Fact: I have installed to my new phone the Tweetcaster app, and only the ~200 latest Direct Messages have appeared.
So. I assume that Tweetcaster, somewhere in my Old phone's memory, has a Directory of Data which includes all my Direct messages. I am seeking a way, to find and transfer that Directory to my computer, so I can have a Backup, and also to Transfer it to my new phone, and continue my Direct Messaging from where I stopped in my old phone.
(The app, saves in the phone’s memory, ONLY the Direct Messages, not ALL timeline activities)
I communicated with the online OneLouder Support didn’t help me at all.
So, I’m counting to you guys.
Probably someone pro here, can track the data movement this app makes every time you receive or send a Direct messages.
Thank you in advance.

HTC one x plus - apps advice

Hello everyone
I hope someone can help me with this.
I have just moved to android from ios and hopefully i'll stay on android because of the fact that it can customize everything on it.
I have a question regarding some apps at the moment.
Does anyone know any good app for hotmail that allows to see all the folders.
At the moment the native app it makes it very hard to browse through my hotmail account where I need a few steps in order to switch folder and in addition it doesn't tell me which folder has emails unless I go in it.
On the iphone I was greeted with all the folder as a root window and each folder had a notification showing how many non read messages were in each folder so browsing was easy.
I've tried hotmail seven as well but the problem with the folder is the same unless I need to do something with the settings, which I don't have any clue about.
If someone has used hotmail and know what I'm talking about then please let me know if you know about any app.
Secondly: I wanted to know if there's an app that allows me to receive notifications about messages, emails etc but without showing the contentn of the message and that gives me also the ability to put passwords on messages so that it can't be accessed without it.
and finally: I'd like to know if you guys are aware of a good contacts manager that allows to keep contacts private so that names and similar stuff is now shown in the incoming and outgoing calls.
Sorry for the many questions but will appriciate if you can help.
Thank you
What I do to find all this information is go on Google and type in (example) best hotmail app for android and read the post.

I've done so,that's why I mentioned hotmail seven ad it was considered one of the best but it doesnt have those features that I mentioned, reason why I'm asking if people used different hotmail clients and wheter they found better features in them

[Q] Webmail app...?

My apologies if I am posting this in the wrong area, but I seem to be looking for something that is difficult to find. Either that or I REALLY don't know how to ask/search for that which I am looking.
I need an app on my phone [android - Samsung Galaxy S4] for my emails, however I don't want the messages stored on the phone. So I guess I am looking for an app-etized webmail interface. Important features:
The ability to have a formatted signature (bolding, etc). The ability to add a logo would be nice, but not required
The ability to send formatted messages (HTML?)
The ability to use Templates
The ability to send/manage multiple attachments
Those are the biggies that I can think of at the moment.
Every time I find something it seems to want to save/manage the messages locally, and I am just REALLY paranoid about having business emails on something as easily lost/stolen as a phone (regardless of the ability to remote wipe)
Would anyone happen to know of a good solution? Doesn't have to be free, but reasonably-priced is a plus.
Many thanks (and a few beers) in advance!

Whatsapp: Export pictures/media for certain contacts

Hi there,
Whatsapp stores ALL media files within ONE huge folder --> I've got about 6000 pictures in it, including much trash pics.
Now I would like to extract/copy all pictures which were send between me and a specific contact (i.e. my girlfriend) to another folder so that I can transfer them on to my computer.
Do you know any way? Is there ANY way of doing it, even it is not only a one-click solution...? Or any third party addon/plugin?
Couldn't find anything when googeling as my keywords gave much too many hits.
Thanks in advance!
Bjoern
Hello and thank you for posting in the Q&A section,
there is no method to export only media of one contact. You can try to press send chat as E-Mail in the chat of you girlfriend and choose the option with media. After that you can send the chat including media to your own E-Mail and download the pictures to your PC. Kind regards, Trafalgar Square
Thanks, I'll try this - but I somehow doubt this could work, as I have about 2500 files sent between me and my girlfriend. Probably too much to be saved as a mail draft in GMail App (
Didnt work, as I thought

[APP] Adjusting WhatsApp behavior to save pictures

Hi Everyone,
I am growing increasingly frustrated with WhatsApp and given it's such a popular app I have come to admit the problem must come from me and not the app itself.
Simply put, for any other messaging app (Messenger, Telegram, etc.), whenever someone sends me a message, the experience is pretty straightforward:
1) The image/video is already loaded and visible in the thread
2) I can click on the image/video to go full screen
3) I can click on the 3 dots or equivalent to save the image/video to my gallery
I fail to reproduce the same behavior with WhatsApp. It seems I either get to have all images/videos downloaded to my gallery, which is useless and insanely annoying. Or I get blurred thumbnails for images/videos in the thread and then need to download to see.
FYI, I have a Samsung S9+ with latest updates.
Thanks for your help!
