More like I got trashed and uploaded a build when I first made this thread but forgot it had non-functioning storage and pulled it pending that fix; upon getting home while in my moment I felt it would be a great idea to try to roll my code back a bit to create another snapshot to build V6 with but my efforts were thwarted by git HEAD errors, I rolled back my codebase to it's default snapshot and lost the CM base for this phone in my drunken stupor.
So here I am rebuilding, sorry about that

Drunken rom-building ftw

Hahaha that's awesome. Can't wait for the sober release!

As illustrations. This rom uses virtual soft keys? Meanwhile droid dna available 3 soft keys.

Disabling/enabling soft keys is probably the simplest mod for any ROM. Most aosp ROMs have a built in option for this.....

Agreed, I know it but the recent MIUI rom for droid dna Soft keys menu not working ( Can only open the recently used applications). So want to open navigation menu required to install the Softkey enabler application from Play Store ( as illustrated by OP)

Also, i remember on one of my previous phone, had a miui rom that was sense base due to the camera, and sound, is that still possible to make

It's possible if you have the native HW values, that being said I most def. will not be doing any further work on the DLX for a real long time; the next time I write in this forum will to maybe update this firmware.
Just understand that this device has dropped to the bottom of my to-do list so I wouldn't level any great expectations this way.

Some of the CM7 roms had limited success with the mic but CM9 isn't ready yet
And S-voice won't work in webos lol
cm9 has been out for like 5 months now.. i dont have any faith the mic or cam will ever work in cm9.

s-voice for ics only, even then it had to be modified as its exclusive for Samsung s3.
If it worked in gb even if it was not that good, surely it could be made to work in ics.
Though the installation of s-voice was without any problems.

Mic and camera are at the bottom of the pile of things to do, getting an OS that was never designed for the TouchPad is no easy thing, drivers and wrappers have to be written from scratch with no support from HP. So have faith in the developers, remember most of them are either at full time work or school/college and are offering you there work for free, maybe you could ask HP to fix the camera and mic I think they would abandon that idea faster than they abandoned the TouchPad itself.

Exactly what BIGSimon said. CM9 is still ALPHA. Meaning some things will not work. Not everything that is released is perfect right away. Developing ROMs isn't always an easy task. What they have done in 5 months is pretty damn great.
yeah i know that. but i seem to recall that it at least halfway worked with cm7. plus, in a short time android will have another os version, jellybean or something. and then what? will cm9 be abandoned and work start with that one? and once again, the camera and mic will be pushed back down to the bottom of the list in order to work on more essential things? seems like a endless cycle

There's a big difference between Android 2.3.7 gingerbread and Android 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich which meant everything had to be re-written to work Android 5 jelly bean is more of an evolution of ICS so drivers will carry over, all the work that's been done now will mean that when JB is released the touchpad will get it a lot faster with everything working

JellyBean will be a minor update, it will have a version 4.1, it isn't as huge step as going from 2.3 to 4.0.
Anyway, sound is surely being worked on (developers (partially, maybe) have gotten rid of bad screen-off sound issue last week), and we will see some progress in a time. If you want a tablet with all features working out-of-the-box, i guess, you should buy another device.

What's taking so long to get a stock android ROM?

I mean this question in the most sincere way. I know there are some incredibly talented people out there working very hard on AOSP roms. I'm just legitimately curious and admittedly ignorant. What is so difficult about removing the HTC sense rom and replacing it with a pure stock android rom like what's found on the nexus? I know a rom like CM9 aims to add back in a lot more to the AOSP so I can imagine how difficult that must be to get everything working. If all that's being done though is just installing a pure Android rom on a phone already running Android (with a bunch of crap added in), what would make that a difficult task, that to the best of my knowledge, is still not done yet? At the risk of further showing my ignorance, what makes it different from the PC world where you could re format a PC and install a fresh windows OS on it, and get rid of all the OEM bloatware.
Thank you.
A lot of it must be rewritten from scratch because the drivers and what not are proprietary.
Please use the Q&A section to post questions in.
For starters, you dont get AOSP ROMS by removing HTC sense. You get AOSP ROMS by building from scratch from googles code.
Thats what takes so long. Getting googles code to work with our proprietary (read: no source for the devs) drivers.
The other part of it is the devs arent working on ICS(CM9). They've skipped that completely and are working on jellybean (CM10)
Deck has a build that is pretty friggin sweet.

How close to a daily driver would you say Deck's CM10 build is right now? Last I checked the only thing missing was the camera which helped out with some other bugs that had been happening. I could probably live without a camera if everything else seems to be in tip-top shape.

Still a daily driver for me.

It's all on irc look in the cm9 thread and the camera's actually fixed now now its just video and Google now is gimmicky you need to do a fresh flash, its updated usually everyday

is the mate 2 lo3 worth getting?

compared to say the grand x max+? also which is most stable rom besides stock for lo3? thanks for replys
also to root i have unlock it?
Yes
I've had a lot of good phones. Original Note and LG G2 among the best. I still use my Mate 2 as a daily driver. Totally love it. It will be a sad day when it stops working.
Off the top of my head (which may be really outdated), spec-wise and price-wise, I think the Mate 2 is better than any other of its competitors. Again, I haven't been paying much attention lately, so I might be out of the loop quite badly. But for a nearly 4,000 mAh battery and, thanks to some amazing people on this forum, quite a few custom ROMs, I have absolutely no complaints. I'm not replacing this anytime soon. My previous phone was used for either 3 or 4 years.
Just be glad you weren't here from October 2014 to June 2015.
Lol true. Got my own cm ROM made. And working on compiling omni ROM. Shm has several ROMs for it. And cm has L and MM as well. Way better device with stock ROM replaced.

I've actually been using the stock ROM for the past month or so, maybe longer. Actually not that bad, I like EMUI. However, I am missing some features of custom ROMs, like swiping notifications on the lockscreen getting rid of them instead of opening them, and being able to change the DPI without everything breaking.
Also, Xposed apparently doesn't work on B322? I haven't tried it myself, but that does suck if true. I used several modules back on B128.
Edit: Does anyone know if there's a way to get the Huawei camera app on CyanogenMod? I think I'm gonna switch back, but the stock camera is garbage, and Google Camera has a weird preview issue in portrait (image is squashed, but turns out fine after it's captured).

Probably the best performing ROM I've tried!

This is definitely the best ROM I've tried in terms of performance, the best two features in my opinion are the battery and its smoothness.

Yeah, sorry, I have that firmware, I wrote the numbers in the wrong order... I made a clean install, so I don't know why it's laggy. I don't use fingerprint, so I can't unlock the screen without press power button or double tap, which I don't like since I'm used to unlock with soft touch of home button and no fingerprint.. I'd like to have a slight better battery too on JDCTeam rom, but it's has just what I need in other terms, so I think I'll stick with it, even if this rom has also the nice split screen feature which I don't think it's available on JDCTeam..
