Voice Mate - Sprint LG G3

Greetings! I can't necessarily vouch for every user on this forum but I can say that I had a significant trouble when it came to using my headphones voicemate app popping up and asking me if I wanted to say anything. This was a concern for me because I wanted to listen to music without interruption so I froze the app and it caused a significant improvement in my headphone auxiliary port working for speakers and headphones. Just thought any fellow frustrated users may get help from it. Perhaps those of you whom are more technical can speak to the reason this worked?

Volum+ app

Anyone use this app with the NT? If so does it help the dismal volume? I am also a little nevous after reading the disclaimer of how it can blow out your speaker. Anyone had any issues like that lol?
I'm using that app. It works WONDERFUL, but I would advise you to heed that warning about cranking the volume too loud---the app can as much as double the typical volume of the device, which can be kinda bad for the speakers. I haven't had any problems, but I'm also not pushing it. Use good judgment.

I like to support devs and their work. So, for me, the $1.62 is a good deal. However, if your short of $, the dev allows free download on his site. This isn't warez...click on Visit Developers Website on the market page and it'll send you here:

well if you hear any sort of distortion at loudest level then back it down. You will know a speaker is being damaged/can be damaged becuase it will distort and sound horrible try out a song that changes in bass to really test.

Works great. Now the nook has an acceptable volume level.

This is a great find. Was struggling with the "soft" volume even when cranked up. This app addressed that very nicely. So far no problems ...
What is the exact name / correct spelling of this app? I am still having a hard time finding it, there are many "volume this or that" apps. Also, the link given to the developers site seems not to be working.

This works for me.

This is a great app. I love my nook tablet running cm7 just fine. But this app makes it so much better. I can actually watch videos without headphones. I set it to volume level 10 and its perfect. Any higher and I think it will start to damage the speakers.
Just found the app! Looks awesome! About time i can play with the EQ whilst listening to music through my headphones.
The developer's site seems to be working now. Reading it indicates they did have some site problems recently, I must have visited during one of those times. But all seems working now, I was able to download and install app, looking forward to trying it out.
To answer my own previous question, the name of the app is actually "VOLUME+". But don't bother searching Market or google, best place to get it seems to be developer's site (see above).
Thanks for the info on this app! I've been buggin' out because of the low volume... now it's workin' great (with CM7).

So no notification sounds through headphones?

What's up with that? Even with headphones plugged in the notification sounds go through the external speaker?
Silliness.
Buuuuuuump no one?

I would like to know the answer to this as well, my previous HTC when headphones are plugged in all sounds including notifications went through them, yet the S3 sends notifications to the external speaker, surely this is a bug?
It's absurd and not the only Samsung phone that does it. The thing that strikes me as odd is there aren't many people that seem to care about it. Google searches hardly brings up **** and this thread has gotten like 60 views but 1 response...which is you with the same question.
My Galaxy Nexus didn't have this problem. Annoying as fuc-
i'm guessing most people put their phones to silent while listening to music. that's what i do.

That's ok, but when your phone is in your pocket how do you know if you have a text/email unless you put it on vibrate?
On the top screen of your phone you will see a small i which stands for notification, i dont know whats it called but the settings menu on top of your phone drag it down and click notifications then the letter i will disappear now all notifications will alert you normally via sound like call and texts.

oops i meant i put it to vibrate. however if u do this there will be a slight pause in the music when a notification comes in(i think it only applies to certain functions like sms. whatsapp nofs dont pause my music)
I can't believe no one cares about this... I still want to hear my notifications over my headphones... Work email, personal email, specific ringtones for individual calls and texts... the list goes on. I've owned Mostly HTC, but even my Palm Pre and older Sanyo phones were smart enough to mute the external speaker when connecting headphones.
Bizarre.
I don't know if this has been explained prior to my response. Notifications work fine over blue tooth.

The issue was never Bluetooth. The problem is, you can have you headphones plugged in while sitting in the library, and if you get a notification, it will blast the entire room. Similarly, if you are in your car, the notifications don't make it to your aux port, and also, if you use the aux port, Bluetooth will not play the audio simultaneously. That's crap. On CM-based ROMs this works just fine. Definitely not a hardware issue. Sure sucks for people who use hands free kits in their cars
Same issue here with the external speaker not being muted when earphones plugged in, and unlike previous comments, issue persists when using bluetooth. Currently using Omega v32.1.
This problem affects my Galaxy Note 2 as well. Wow. How does no one else care about this? I don't understand why people would put their phone on silent just because they are listening to music. CM10 sort of fixed this issue on my GS3, but I can't use that on the gn2 because of all the custom stylus integration.
It's definitely an android thing and I can't believe that in almost 2 years since it's been logged, no traction appears to have been made.
Did a quick search through the developer forums to see if anyone has made a mod, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know, if one the many talented developers on XDA, have done anything here?
EDIT: Turns out there is an app already out there to solve this, but interesting that it's not standard in the OS.

SoundAbout barely works, FYI. I have had major issues after installing this. Sound cutting in and out just using the earpiece.

You could try SoundAbout, but as ScrapMaker states, it may cause issues with the sound cutting in/out using just the earpiece.
I wasn't going to try using it, but have over the last few days and it seems to work ok for me. Give it a go and see if it works (as I haven't been able to find anything else on the play store yet)...
I just got the galaxy note 2 yestersay and noticed the headphine issue today while working on the motorcycle. With the headohines on I can't hear the phone ring or notificationsn. what I hear instead is the music I'm listening to go mute the length of the ringing while anyone around me hears my ringing which comes off a little rude on my part and a bit annoying that it doesn't just ring through the headset.
I'm going over the settings and searching the Web like crazy but not finding an actual solution just work arounds about muting the ringer and/our putting it on vibe, neither of which is what I'm wanting or works for me.

[REQUEST] Bluetooth Intercom App

Hey guys, I've got a unique app request.... I'm aiming to find a Bluetooth Intercom app that allows me to use my Bluetooth headset as a microphone that plays on my phones speaker, effectively creating an intercom system. There are apps out there that do something similar to this by creating a Bluetooth network but it requires another Android device. I've got a tablet but I'd like to do this with just my phone and Bluetooth headset. The reason behind this: I've got a newborn and instead of using a baby monitor I want to be able to place my headset in his crib, and smoke a cigarette on my front porch and listen to him through my phone with the microphone being the headset.... Hopefully I've gotten across what I'm trying to do...if there are any app devs out there willing to give it a shot, shoot me a PM or post here, I'll be more than willing to pay/donate to those who contribute to the cause. Thanks again guys for your time and attention...

Strange headphone jack issue

Hello,
I am having a strange issue with my headphone jack on my HTC One. I normally use Samsung headphones which I received with my galaxy s3. All of a sudden, they stopped functioning with my phone. I tried using them on other phones and they work fine. Also, all other headphones that I have tested on my phone function normally. I tried using an app called soundabout to get the Samsung headphones to work and I was successful. I don't mind buying new headphones, but I want to be sure that there is no underlying problem with my phone. I don't have much knowledge regarding how headphones are detected by different devices so I don't know where to go with my troubleshooting from here. I'd appreciate any insight on this issue.
Thanks

Callisto 100 (similar to omate) watch microphone fix?

Hi all i have posted this in the omate forum as i believe the 2 watches to be very similar if not technically identical and was wondering how others have found the call quality of there watch. I received my iconbit callisto today and i am more than impressed with everything about it apart from the mic during calls it sounds like i am underwater when calling using the watch mic with some strange background interference noises, i can hear the caller perfectly through the strap speaker but they say my end sounds strange, calling using a bluetooth headset is clear though.
Anyone else have experienced this or know a fix? I have heared there is a patch available ensec i think its called, anyone know if the patch helps with the mic?
Im amazed with the performance of the watch its just a shame about the watch mic
Sent from my GT-N5100 using xda app-developers app
EnSec does not fix the mic issue however it is very unwise to use your Callisto without the patch. There is also no fix for the mic issue at this time.

I have too this problem with my watch Omate TrueSmart, I hope that it will fix.
Arie.
I wish we could figure out what is the cause of some TrueSmart watches, but not all of them, having the noisy mic issue.
If the same watch models running the same firmware are behaving differently as regards the sound quality of the mic, it seems to me that the difference must be in how they were assembled ? If so, it might be correctable.

Thanks for the replys, i have seen your youtube tutorial Loki for rooting and applying the ensec patch and i will be having a go at that very soon, as for the watch mic i have tested it using the voice recorder and also sending voice via whatsapp and the mic works fine its only during a call it becomes slightly unclear with strange background noises yet when speaking through a bluetooth headset during a call its perfect. i am going to try it through viber and skype through wifi and 3g then again with another sim card to see if i can work out whats going on, such a small annoying problem on a great device.
I really hope it is a firmware/software issue so it can maybe be rectified but it might be just interference from the cell radio messing with the mic
Is this a common fault with all of these smartwatches? or only some and maybe we could find out if its effecting both the European and US versions as dont we both run on a slightly different cell radio frequency
Im in the UK using a giffgaff sim which runs on the o2 network.

Got mine yesterday but

master reset
This might be a dumb questions for some but I can not figure out how to do a master reset on my Omate.
Any help please
