do you have any luck switching the colors on the theme? Using halo-light and every time I try to hit the pencil logo to change the theme accent color, it restarts and the settings don't stick, reverts back to the blue accent color every time. Any ideas? Can anyone else change the accent color?

can anyone set up a theme where we can unzip the UI change the background and rezip the UI file. I had a TWRP theme on the Optimus G and I could change just the background and customize that image only. Was pretty cool. These won't let you swap backgrounds. The theme was over on the optimus G pages. kMogs kicked butt with this one for the LG. but I don't think he is still doing these.

I've been toying with porting some HDPI themes over from my Galaxy S phone and have done so successfully. Is there any interest from anyone? If so, I can post the flashable zip after I make some more tweaks.

You could get arrested this in most areas.
Let me work out a few kinks. There are two I can easily port over.
The first being Cognition:
The other is Serendipity:
http://serendipityrom.weebly.com/screenshots.html
Now, don't look at these and think you're going to everything pictured under each respective ROM. Those are full blown ROMs. I'm just pulling the theme, so the overall colors and base android icons will pulled.
Cognition is the easiest because it's text color and menu colors are spot on for our devices. Serendipity would require a few tweaks since it's black text isn't working well with it's black menus. Not sure why it doesn't pull over the same as it appears on the phone, but it doesn't.

Looks like they ported over the MIUI (beta) to the Captivate. I'll start working on a port immediately. I've got a couple of bigs projects this week, but will get back on the themes afterward.
Is honeybread a possible candidate? Loving it on my Cm7 Evo..
I've uploaded a modification to my theme. It now includes the Cognition HDPI theme. If you raise your LCD density, it will automatically switch to Cognition. If you want to revert back, just lower it back down to stock settings.

Yes, implants to make it compatible with CM7, but I am waiting for CM7 to become a little more stable. I would flash this update since it flashes a new services.jar.
I looked at porting to CM7, but couldn't locate the files for the menu and back button. Will probably hop back on it in the next week or so.

Just Flash in recovery over eclipse 0.7
Warning, If you made any changes to SystemUI.apk this will change them back to stock. its best to flash this over stock 0.7 and then make changes to SystemUI.apk afterwards.
Credit and thanks to nitro, naven, dragonzkiller, xkape, mattfox, gaad0701 for 9.pngs and hedwig34 for the hex values.

I had a modified cyan version running on eclipse 0.6 and tried it on 0.7 You can find that version in navenedrob's stock pulldown toggle thread. I had some help from mattfox over there. Anyway here's the version I'm using on 0.7 now. This one has mattfox's black toggles with some cyan added and the 0.7 default icons added in. I personally like the wifi icons in amf118's zip better. I'm keeping amf118's stock zip in case I mess things up too bad.
Hope this helps somebody.

I just took a look at some of the pngs in the eclipse .7 SystemUI.apk. I see four shades of cyan in there. Here are the hex values of those.
#329196
#76c5ca
#3fb5bc
#7ee2e7
I used the color picker tool in gimp to select the color. Then if you click on that color on the toolbar it brings up a custom color box and displays the hex value.
i remade the cyan toggles and made a red and green one too. Im Posting it shortly

Would a green/white theme ever come out? I'm waiting for green themes
But not a dark green not a light green...I'm talking about the same kind of green as the gingerbread icons and battery color.
I'd greatly appreciate it.

I might do one today.
This is a quick mod I made that changes the ugly android green check boxes, radio buttons, and thumb buttons in the settings to ics blue. It is a vrtheme that only changes a few icons the framework-res.apk. Should work on about any 4.2.2 tw rom out there. Will work fine with other mods out there also as it only changes those icons nothing else. Just flash in recovery and reboot.
-update- V2 added I did a few more of the check boxes and radio buttons for when you are on a black or white background the earlier version only did the black background ones.
-Update- V3 I added in the check boxes for the gallery that were still showing green, and fixed the thumb toggles ON test to white instead green.

i wouldn't call it imposible. picture this: an app made by you running directly from android. you can select everything as you like and preview as you like. you can even select a custom background of your own (how cool is that), then, after you have selected everything, that app generates the zip, and you flash it.plus, it gets better, the app can have updates with new keyboard styles and everything. ofcorse this would require more programming, but you could eventually even add that app in the playstore and if it gets popular you can have it work for other devices as well.
edit: I would like to set a purple background that would have the purple color, yahoo's purple since I mainly use it for messaging. also a background lightblue skype color would be nice.
edit2: btw I think there's an error on the Auto-Correct selection, the first two options have identical description.
edit3: for anyone that would like a custom wallpaper to the keyboard, I presume you can do that, entering the zip file and photoshoping files found in this folder with the ones you like. TNi605AnyDPISamsungIMEAroma.zip\kbbg\redbullbg\res\

I can add common app colors if you'd like as far as an app. .um mm don't really want to get into that lol. .and there is no typo.. one says with "short press delay" and the other says "stock press delay"
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
you're right, no typo. concerning the colors, no need for extra options for me, I will install photoshop and modify that redbull theme to my liking. again, great job. thanks. but concerning the users that don't want to spend time into photoshop, here's a thing you can do, see if you can do another kind of installer, one that has best combinations, so that no mater what combination of colors you choose, you're always ending with an awesome result. I ended up with really weird results for example when selecting purple twice.
edit: something's missing from the keyboard. I flashed the s4white keyboard before flashing this one and I think this is the reason why transparency doesn't work for the background. when I select the totally transparent background, the result is a black one. even though i checked, the files contained in the transparent nebula theme are indeed transparent. how can I fix this?
edit2: wait, actually it is transparent, just that there are certain apps that place a black background beneath the keyboard

Lol the best combinations. . Everyone likes different things and if, for instance, I put purple background, black text and black keys and someone chooses those options it won't look good.. but if they choose what I laid out for a request.. The purple/silver theme.. it should look pretty good
Yea the background with transparency all relates to certain apps.. so apps that call theme.holo will be transparent but if they call theme.holo.light or an app has a certain custom color it will call those.. There is no way, I think, I would be able to fix this unless you modify all the apps and that is not going to happen:thumbup:
