I Tried to go to CWM Recovery to format the system and try to flash the stock firmware again. but no way
So I Tried to ROOT My "GT-I9300" AGAIN to get CWM Recovery
______Let us begin______
1. Download the TAR CWM recovery file , ODIN zip file and unzip the files , SuperSU zip file
http://www.mediafire.com/download/5fc53nyacjxubi9/Root_Galaxy_S3_on_Android_4.3_4.4.2__
2. Power off Galaxy S3. Then hold down Volume down, Center Home, and Power buttons together until you see a warning screen. Let go of all buttons.
3. Hit Volume Up to enter ODIN Download mode then connect a USB cable from your S3 to your computer.
4. Double-click on “odin3v1.85.exe” to start ODIN program.
5. You should see a yellow-highlighted box with a random COM number. Once you see the yellow-highlighted box you are ready to go, hit the “PDA” button.
6. Find the TAR CWM recovery file you downloaded earlier in Step 1 and choose it.
7. Hit “Start” and it should take about 5 seconds for ODIN program to flash CWM Recovery to your Galaxy S3 and you will see “PASS!” when it’s done. Your phone should reboot.
8. Once your phone has rebooted hold down Volume Up, Center Home, and Power button together.When you see the Samsung logo, let go of Power button but keep holding down Volume Up and Center Home buttons.
9. You should now be in CWM Recovery.
10. Make this step:
-wipe data,cache,dalvik
-format system, preload, internal sd
11. Repeat the steps 2,3,4,5
Once you see the yellow-highlighted box you are ready to go, hit the “PDA” button and Find the Stock firmware and choose it and Hit “Start” you will see “PASS!” when it’s done. Your phone should

Can i ask why you have come here for support when you disagree with all the help that has been given?
You have given us little to no information like odin logs, process you have taken or file names etc when requested besides a worthless picture that hasnt been seen on the i9300 before.
I agree with boomboomer, you could try the rescue firmware it maybe you last hope you can find it in the stickies.

[HOW-TO] Samsung Galaxy S Wifi 3.6 YP-GS1 - Flashing Korean Rooted ROM

Ok, I’ve been thinking about putting together a tutorial on flashing this ROM for a while, but we've seemingly been on a verge of rooting the official rom, so I hesitated because once the official rom is rooted this info will become obsolete. However, seeing how different people are trying to flash the Korean rooted rom and some are making mistakes with flashing process and others asking questions which have been already answered in a long thread dedicated to SG 3.6 rooting, I decided to do it.
As of now, flashing this rom is the only known and safe method of rooting your SG 3.6, however this may change soon(ish)
First of all, a couple of important points you need to know about this rom:
1) It only has 2 languages - English and Korean, if you need other languages, you will need to look for a solution to this... (like - search on the Google Play store for "custom locale", there are a couple of apps that will allow you install a LOT of languages)
2) This rom is for the INT version of SG 3.6 (the one that has a physical "home" button), not the US version (that has a capacitive "home" button). If you install this rom on the US version of SG 3.6, your capacitive home button won't work (all other functions will work, though). If that's a problem for you, don't flash this rom. There's a thread dedicated to finding a solution to this problem, but AFAIK it hasn't been found yet.
Apart from what's mentioned above, this rom is great, I’m running it and loving it. After some cleaning it now runs smoother that the official rom.
Beware, flashing any rom has a potential of wrecking your device! The flashing process itself is intrinsically not 100% safe, so make sure you know what you're doing. However, flashing this rom isn't more dangerous than upgrading your SG 3.6 through Kies (providing you know what you are doing, which this tutorial attempts to help you with).
In this how-to i used pictures and some info taken from a thread by Intratech.
Before you start, make sure you have KIES installed on your computer and that KIES can communicate to your SG 3.6 (meaning it can synch contacts, and do other things).
1. Download the rom from HERE
2. Download ODIN 1.85 from HERE
You need ODIN to flash this rom. Maybe it's possible to use other versions of ODIN, but that's what I and others used and it works well with our device, so why bother.
3. Go into Recovery mode of your device by doing this:
-Turn off your SG 3.6
-Hold Home, Vol +, and Power all at the same time.
-When the Samsung logo appears let go of Power.
(once there, Use Vol + and - for moving up and down the menu, hit the Home button to enter on an item. (or click ok))
... and then "wipe data / factory reset" and "wipe cache partition". (i'm not sure if this step is needed, but it won't hurt)
4. Make sure all instances of Kies are closed in Task Manager. Kies conflicts with ODIN, so make sure it's closed! For this open Task Manager on your computer and close everything that has KIES in it.
5. Run ODIN 1.85. You will see something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Don't change any selections, just click on the PDA button and browse to the .tar file that you extracted from the file you've downloaded at step 1. Repeat - do NOT tick anything else and don't change the selections from the default, you may brick your device!
6. Put your SG 3.6 into Download Mode by doing this:
-Turn the device off
-Hold Home, Vol - and Power at the same time.
-When Samsung Logo appears let go of Power
Connect your SG 3.6 by USB cable and wait for any required drivers to install and the ID:COM section to turn yellow like this (on the picture it's blue):
7. Click start to flash. If Odin hangs at setting up connection just unplug the USB cable and re-attach it, Odin should now resume
8. Do not disconnect the cable or turn off the device once the flash has started, it will reboot when it finishes.
9. Once it's done, go into Recovery mode again and "wipe data / factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" once more (basically, repeat step 3). This step is necessary, if you skip it, you may have some programs crashing on your device and other weird behavior.
10. You are done!

Hi, I flashed a rom i got for the US version (capacitive buttons), followed your instructions except now i get a yellow triangle while it boots and my touchscreen does not work. Do you know how to fix this?
Thanks a lot !!!
Very simple tutorial but the most efficient for a noobie.
I would just add one thing because in my case, my Samsung Galaxy S Wifi 3.6 was restarting again and again so that I was not able to access to the Download Mode.
To do so, I had to remove the battery for about 30 seconds and then to start the phone by holding "Home" + "Vol -" + "Power".
The device has been flashed in less than 5 minutes and is now working perfectly !
Much quicker than the consumer service...
Thanks again !
For those who would need the ROM to be used to flash the Samsung Galaxy S Wifi 3.6, you can find it there:

yes, if you have CWM installed:
open cwm manager > under reboot choose Download mode > use odin to flash official firmware
If you are rooted you can use button savior on the play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smart.swkey
It will give you a virtual home button

if the home button is not working physically, i would either replace it or take collingall's advice
if you still want to flash official firmware, the third option will be a "usb jig"

Buy a USB jig. Its a dongle which, when plugged into the phone, forces your phone into download mode. From there you can flash any official firmware (via Odin) for your model. You don't need root permissions for it.

OdinOdin is a piece of software that allows us to flash anything we want to the phone. The file is attached to the bottom of this post.
It is perfectly safe IF USED CORRECTLY!
This is a general guide for using Odin, take a look at this picture (thanks to screamworks):
To get Odin to connect to your phone, you need to boot into 'download mode' by pressing volume down, home, and power keys at the same time, and connect your phone to your PC via USB.

1. Just download the firmware version you want
2. Reboot your phone to download mode.
To get download mode shut down the device. After it shuts off completely simultaneously press the Down volume key+ Home button + press the power button .
You should see a warning asking you to press volume up if you want to continue or volume down to cancel, press volume up. You are now in download mode!
3. Start Odin
4. Click on the PDA button and browse to the .tar or .tar.md5 file that you extracted in step 1
If the package has more than one .tar archive then they will be labelled with PDA, Phone/Modem and CSC. Just put them in the corresponding section of Odin
5. DO NOT PUT .PIT FILE AND DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT TICK REPARTITION.
Anyone ask about .pit file is a moron
Should look like this screenshot
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If the package has 3 files it should look like this:
Regardless of firmware version it's still the same methodology
6. Connect the USB cable and wait for the ID:COM section to turn yellow
7. Click start to flash
8. Do not disconnect the cable or turn off the device, it will reboot when it finishes.
It will not wipe your phone if you flash as recommended

Possible bricked TF201

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help me.
I got a TF201 recently and it was rooted so I decided to try and flash it back to factory setting, I went into recovery mode and found there was a backup on there from when it was first made so I restored it to that.
I then clicked the button to reset the system and it gets to the Asus logo but doesn't go any further.
I tried booting into recovery again (power and vol down key) and all I get to is a menu that says "wipe data" or "fastboot USB download protocol", but no matter what I do I can't get past that screen!
Have I properly bricked it? or is there some way I can save this?

You are still on ICS bootloader.
I would advise you doing the nvflash process before leaving ICS because with them files backed up you can never hard brick your prime.
http://androidroot.mobi/t3_nvflash/
What rom do you want to install on there?
Here is a quote from another post I made.
Ok, you are on the ICS bootloader at the moment. The first thing we are going to do is flash a version of TWRP recovery on there which will allow you to install a rom off the external SD.
Power off the prime and put yourself into fastboot mode by holding power button and volume down the same time until a few icons appear on the screen. At this point press volume down to go over to the usb icon and then press volume up. It will look like the prime has frozen. Plug the prime into pc and make sure you have the drivers installed. Only use the file in that link to install it while on ICS bootloader. Later on you are going to flash hairybean 1.3 which will take you up to Jellybean Bootloader. If you use this file after that you will brick your tablet.

You are still on ICS bootloader.
I would advise you doing the nvflash process before leaving ICS because with them files backed up you can never hard brick your prime.

What rom do you want to install on there?
Here is a quote from another post I made.

Right I'm confused by this bit here:
Plug the prime into pc and make sure you have the drivers installed. If you do not please install them from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1426502

I have done everything upto there and I downloaded the drivers from that link but I don't know how to install them? do you mean install them onto my PC or onto the tablet? because my tablet doesn't appear in Windows when I plug it in.

When you go to the bootloader where the icons are and you plug the prime into PC it should show up in device manager. If the drivers are not installed it will show unknown device in device manager. If they are installed they will be up the top somewhere under asus or android devices saying something like asus bootloader interface.

Nope its just sat on the same screen as before where I can select wipe data or fastboot USB
Oh wait.. You are on ICS.. It's been so long.
I think the way to get into recovery on that is to hold the power down and volume down button to turn it on and then press volume up when the message appears. I don't think you had the recovery icon on ICS.

Well I have some blob files here that should take you to either the 4.1.1 bootloader and a custom recovery or the 4.2.1 bootloader and a custom recovery but when you upgrade to them you will lose the ability to ever make your nvflash backups.
It all depends what rom you want to go to and if you want to go this route.

Here we go.
Make a folder on a drive like d:/fix and place the following zip in it (not on desktop).
Extract it there and run the Attempt_Fix.bat file.
http://flumpster.lolcakes.com/android/Fix%20for%20ICS%20Guy.zip
Follow the onscreen instructions to get into fastboot mode. When it gets to the writing 'staging' part that is where is should pause for about 5 minutes and a blue line should fill on the screen. Do not turn it off at this point.

No it isn't.
When you switch the prime on now where is the NVIDIA logo this time. If it is bottom right it has definitely updated the bootloader.

Failed to root my phone, need help :/

Yesterday I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S2 with the help of this video: How to Root Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 Jelly Bean Android 4.1.1/4.1.2! on youtube ( since I'm new to this forum I'm not allowed to use outside links in my thread ).
It told me to go to Downloading mode by pressing the Home-, Power-, and the volume down buttons .
Then I downloaded Odin3 and a jeboo kernel just as said in the video, I did so on the 1st link in the video's description ( again can't use the link but it is the first link in the video that I mentioned before ) .
On this website I scrolled down a little a found the two links for downloading Jeboo Kernel and Odin3.
So I started Odin3 and connected my phone to the PC, that one space on Odin3 went yellow so it seemed to be connected to my phone.
But there was no PDA button as mentioned in the video so I downloaded the version he used in his video (Odin3 v1.85)
opened the file, connected it to my phone (the bar went yellow) and clicked on PDA .
Then I chose the Jeboo Kernel file as said in the video, the two bars went green just as it should and I clicked on START.
The next thing happened was that my phone started, but without a yellow triangle as it should and stopped at this screen like this : ( deleted link of an photo of the start up ) . I couldn't do anything to stop it so I was waiting for it to shut down by it self .
So my questions are: What did I wrong? How can I remove the Jeboo Kernel from my phone and get the normal kernel back? Or If possible how do I root it properly? Is my phone bricked?
Sorry for not that great english!
Btw I had Jelly bean 4.12.
And I'm a noob in things like phones and stuff so please try to explained it in easily understandable words Ty
Hi @Lokeen
So it stuck on "Samsung Galaxy i9100" screen? If yes -
1. Take the battery out and back in after a few seconds.
2. Hold volume up, home button and power button together until you see start up screen and let go all three
3. It should boot into recovery mode. What recovery version do you see(if any)?
If you can get to download mode go there then connect to pc with good usb cable (like samsung which you get with your phone) and flash this kernel again. Btw in newer versions of odin pda is pa now. I rooted my phone using this method and everything went quite smooth. If you want to go back from root and this kernel go to samware.com (something like that) download right version for you country and flash it with pda/pa (ofc it is good to clean phone before it)
That's how I would try to do this.

After a few seconds of clicking home-, power- and volume up buttons the screen turns black until I stop, then it goes back to the Samsung galaxy S2 screen. Also I'm not sure about the file I flashed on my phone even was a kernel.
I just chose the winrar file I downloaded. @noppy22

From phone completely off, try the three button combo until you see the samsung s2 screen then let go. What happens? If that doesn't go to recovery mode, try taking the battery out to turn the phone off, put battery back in, then hold volume DOWN, home, and power buttons. Does this give you download mode?(It will say "downloading now, do not turn off target", or something similar)

@keithross39
Hi I'm back, I finally got my Samsung Jig and it really get's me into download mode .
I don't know what to do from here on, could you please give me an step to step instruction on what to do now ?
Thanks :good:
Ok....so you need to go to either sammobile dot com Or samsung updates dot com (we're not allowed to post links to those sites on XDA) and download the correct firmware for your device/region/carrier. Then you need to download Odin for your pc/laptop.
1) put phone into download mode.
2) open odin.
3) connect phone to pc/laptop via usb cable.
4) wait for phone to be recognised by odin.
5) load firmware into odin and flash to phone.
Instructions on how to do this can be found on the firmware download page or anywhere on XDA......
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
Thanks, I wanna be sure that I don't do any mistakes so I have a question: I downloaded this version http://www.sammobiledotcom/firmwares/download/5879/I9100GXXLPY_I9100GDBTLP3_DBT/
(I replaced . with dot ) and the file is called: I9100GXXLPY_I9100GDBTLP3.zip , is this the right file to flash ?
 @keithross39
@Lokeen do you have the 'G' variant of the device?
It would appear that the linked firmware is for that variant.....
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
@keithross39
Yes I got the G variant.
I got Odin3 v3.10.7, how do I choose the file ( I mean through BL, AP, CP or CSC )?
Do I choose the file I downloaded or do I need to unzip it first?
You need to unzip it once I think until you see a tar md5 file.
As for flashing the firmware.....
I *think* you select AP to load it into odin....I don't know for sure as it's been a while since I used odin.
There should have been flashing instructions on the firmware download page........
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
So shall I choose only the .tar.md5 file or combined with the other one ? @keithross39
So, you've unzipped the download, what files do you see on your pc/laptop screen?

I see I9100GXXLPY_I9100GXXLPV_I9100GDBTLP3_HOME.tar.md5
and SS_DL.dll .
A dll file has normally got something to do with Windows. ....
I'd leave it alone (just in case windows needs to access it) and concentrate on the tar md5 file.....that one is all that Odin needs......

This is what happened to me also but finally i've managed to get my device back on, you can try the emergency software recovery and initialization from smart switch from your pc/laptop (i've tried to flash official firmwares with odin but got no luck)... all you need is a good internet connection and write down your device S/N where you can find this on the back of your phone (beneath the battery).
PS: You will lose all of your data and apps on your internal phone memory

You're welcome mate...
My 910C running DN7 soft bricked too using the white note 7 zip. The white note 4 zip worked fine. Thanks to KnG-Iking for recovery method. As previously mentioned by others the phone after SB only goes to download mode but you cannot Odin anything. A computer will be required to fix/restore boot. So be careful because even with a backup you will have a lengthy restore process. To the Op, I had exposed installed if that helps troubleshooting the zip.
