[Q] A "safe" keyboard - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
a short question: which keyboard with nice features you trust more (nice features: word prediction and gestures)? I'm getting tired of monitoring the outgoing connections on my phone to check if the KB is leaking data.
Thanks.
E.
edit: Just noticed that I posted on the wrong forum. Please mods, move this thread where it belongs. Thanks and sorry.

[Q] Is it okay to put App Icons on marketing and packaging?

First of all, sorry if I have not asked this in the right place, but couldn't see a section better suited to post this.
I am currently designing some packaging for a new budget 7" Android tablet that will be released soon.
Does anybody know if there is any legal problem with using app icons from well known apps on packaging design?
I wanted to use a large image of the front of the device on the box front and feature a screen showing Mail, Angry Birds, Facebook, Twitter, Skype and Android Market. However I am not sure if this will cause legal problems with these companies and am guessing that trying to contact them direct to ask will not be a quick option (if they indeed answer at all).
Hope somebody can help.
Andy

[Q] ICS Notification Vibration

Hey guys I hate to make a new thread about something small like this, but I searched and could not find anything.
I just got the leaked ICS version as explained in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24104851&postcount=1843
It runs great and I don't have any major issues, only thing is it doesn't vibrate when I receive a text message. I have looked through the SMS settings and the Sound settings but wasn't able to find anything.
Thanks
Questions belong in the Q&A section... thread moved.

[Q] Cant post in developer forum

Being new here but not that new to this sort of stuff, does anyone have an answer/pointer about this.
I can't post in the developer forum but have install Thunderbolt v7 JB Rom with the Dominatrix kernel on a Galaxy S2 i9100 and given it to my daughter.
I noticed a few hours after she left that the size txt message's she could send was being split. One of the features of the Rom is the ability to split sms messages but she is unable to find where to disable this feature. I won't see her until the weekend to look myself but after reading the developer thread from V6 through to V7 I am now wondering if it is a bug.
Someone else posted near the end of the whole thread about the same thing but the request for info seemed to be stepped over as the developer answered other questions around it.
No biggy if it is a bug as she can just install handcent sms or something I am just interested if it is or not. On the plus side she is very happy and the speed the S2 now runs at nice Rom.

Ask a mod to move this to Q&A.
Eventually, you'll get 10 posts.
BTW that sounds like a settings issue rather than a bug.

Minimalistic 5-App ROM

Hello fellow more experienced rom devs,
I have been looking through the guides on how to develop my own rom. Let me briefly explain what I want to do:
I would like a ROM that has only 5 apps: calls, text, Google Maps, Youtube Music, and the camera.
No Google Play Store, no web browser, no search, no option to sideload apps, etc.
Myself and a several peers are looking to disconnect. But why go by something like the light phone or punkt or a dumb phone when our current phones have everything we need, but we would like to limit their functionality.
I have two questions. How hard of an undertaking would this be for a noob to develop a rom like this?
Is there some sort of ROM already that can be customized to fit this criteria?
Thank you,
