Is there any system i can flash onto a sprint/etc to make it look and work internationaly? Im planning on buying an HTC one Max and Ive noticed the sprint version is a lot cheaper than the factory unlocked version. Are there any other differences than simlock? Id like it to be as stock as possible (not just sim unlocked). Perhaps flashed with fastboot?

there is no other difference rather than they are locked on just sprint sim ... and sprint guys will unlock it for you for international use for free .. and if you want to unlock it for US then either follow the steps in the unlocking thread for HTC one max or either pay them to unlock your phone

Okay I been asking this for a while. I will be taking a trip to Mexico in July and I'm getting a prepaid sim there. I choosen which company to go with while I'm down there and I wanted to see if I'm able to get 3G with Movistar Mexico while I'm there. I will be running the Venasuar rom with the GSM patch. And in this case, GSM means 2G/Edge, not HSPA... so no 3G.
Technically, the MSM8660 supports a much wider range of frequencies, but the Rezound does not have all the "tuning" or radios (software radios) needed to make them work properly. This isn't something that the Snapdragon unlock hacks can make work either, as far as any users here have tested since the frequencies are not disabled in the chipset, they just were never setup in the firmware to operate.

i want to use it the other way around an at&t htc one on tmobiles hspa+ will ill be able to do that please let me know

I've been investigating this. FCC documentation suggests that the HTC One for T-Mobile is certified for LTE Band 17 (AT&T).
I've unlocked the handset, but I'm only able to access AT&T's HSPA+ network.
Out of the box, the HTC One for T-Mobile doesn't support AT&T LTE.
If there is latent support, I reckon that you'd need to flash AT&T's radio to the device.

the tmobile ONE supports tmobile/att hspa and lte for both carriers. The att ONE supports lte for both but only att hspa and only tmobils 1900 hspa.

My friend has the T-mobile One and I have the AT&T One. He tried putting his T-mobile SIM in my phone, but it would not work (my AT&T One has to be unlocked, which I believe can be done if you buy an unlock code). I couldn't say if my SIM would work since my SIM is not actually AT&T's, it is a Straight Talk SIM that is compatible with AT&T's network. I imagine you could also unlock the T-mobile variant to work with AT&T's networks, but I'm not sure if it'd be able to work on the 4G network.

I want to know is there a big difference between both international and T-Mobile HTC Ones? I check in T-Mobile site and there it shows that it works on 850/900/1800/1900/2100 MHz but on htc`s site it shows that it works only on 850/1800/1900 MHz. In Bulgaria most common 3G is on 900 MHz. Will there be a big problem with network? And can I flash ROM`s from international forum? What could possibly happen if I flash ROM from there?

None that Im aware of.
Tmobile has more frequency than the international version. More freq the better.

T-Mobile: Has the Tmobile Radios, not unlocked 32GB
International: Doesn't have Tmobile HSPA+ Radios so you'll need to be in 4g LTE Range to get those speeds, comes unlocked, 64GB
I was also researching between the two. Getting the Dev would have been cheaper and had more space but the radios were the biggest problem for me. I wanted to make sure I had the best possible signal.

Take a look at the specs:

You don't say if your T-Mobile One is from Europe or the US. The US T-Mobile model does not support 900 HSPA. T-Mobile Europe will support that. The international model has different radios.
For those that replied, the Developer edition is a hardware copy of the US ATT version, which also does not support 900 high speed data.

Yes, I believe that is correct. I was worried because you didn't state it was a European T-Mobile model. T-Mobile is the only one that has both a US and European model - and both are different.
I have an unlocked T-Mobile and use it on ST AT&T. Never seem to need this "missing" 900mHz band. Why would I need it again? I had full service from UT to NV (the desert). 4G most of the way, too.
Genuinely curious as it works perfectly everywhere on AT&T's service.
Isn't 900 being phased out?

So here is my situation. Getting a HTC One under Sprint. It uses a SIM card. I've been told it will work on T-Mobile. My question is can I just flash radios or will it be always stuck with just Edge?

It's actually CDMA/GSM and LTE. Sprint locks down the GSM portion against using a domestic SIM from AT&T and TMobile by default. They'll unlock it for international SIMs/use if you meet certain criteria etc.
It has the necessary radios to work on Tmobile and or AT&T, you just have to have it unlocked a certain way. Search here on XDA, it's been done though it's not the easiest process.

Every LTE device will have a sim slot.
LTE is based on GSM technology. Now with that said there is a GSM variant and a CDMA variant. The CDMA variant does not have the basic GSM chipset for GPRS/ EDGE technology. So putting your sim card in there MIGHT only get you LTE in a re farmed TMO area with 1900mhz. Bottom line is if you want the phone to work like it should you need to buy a T-Mobile one.. It has the 1700mhz aws band you need for all of T-Mobiles network.

Can you tell me how you were able to get sprint phone on t-mobile network. I have HTC one, unlocked, but it won't connect to tmobile towers.

Verizon wouldnt allow a non verizon phone on their network and I dont believe sprint unlocks their phones for use on gsm by default. Even if you got it unlocked I dont believe the gsm radio parts would be included to run on att.
I stuck an AT&T Straight Talk sim in my Sprint One max and it didn't work.

That used to be true, but it all operates from the SIM now, so you should be able to just plug and play the SIM.

I know all about using sims now and the 'new' fad called unlocking...
Verizon and sprint are still cdma networks. They only allow phones they authorize on their network. You can try to unlock the phone to work on att but you will not get it authorized to work on verizon (even though it technically could).
I want to caveat the above with the fact that if you have a verizon person that is willing to break the rules and put the sprint phone on verizon after you unlock it then yes, you can use it on verizon. But you have to find a verizon person willing to get fired for adding a phone...

Of course. I've been unlocking devices since you were in diapers.
Sprint phones can rarely be unlocked. Anytime one is unlocked by a dev hack, there's a huge thread about it.
Basically, if there was a hack that could unlock the Sprint One max, you wouldn't have to open a thread to find it.

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised at how big a deal it is that the HTC One (non Max) on Sprint can be SIM unlocked.
EDIT: I was including even if it can be unlocked via one of those pay for unlock code sites. I'd probably pay a decent price to get an HTC One Max from Sprint SIM unlocked.

I have found a way to SIM Unlock the HTC One Max on Sprint. It is almost the Same Exact way on how to unlock it on the HTC One but with a added step. I made a post about it here
