[Q] How to root my Omate TrueSmart - Ornate TrueSmart

Hello,
How can I root my Omate TrueSmart (configuration see below). I do not need another ROM, I use the default one. I just need root to activate accessibility services (http://forum.xda-developers.com/omate-truesmart/help/enabling-accessibility-services-t2920649).
Regards,
Christian
My Configuration:
Omate TrueSmart Smartwatch 2.0 | Extreme 1GB / 8GB
3G Version: 2100MHz (Europe, Asia, Pacific, Middle East, Africa)
Original firmware, not rooted: Android 4.2.2 / OUI 2.1 / Kernel Version 3.4.5
TrueSmart-20140801-1142

may already be
I don't know for sure since your firmware is newer than mine. You might only have to adb push a SU binary and then install SuperSU.apk or the like. Google up a root manually via ADB how-to and follow it.
Good Luck!

Getting a Plain ROM

Hi and good day
I'd like to have a plain WWE ROM in my HTC Hero.
I bought a Hero from my local store (Malaysia) and the Hero is not branded. However, the ROM is slightly modified and the most obvious and obnoxious difference is the omission of Market.
The (Android) Market is replaced by SlideME SAM in my local, unbranded HTC Hero.
Now, initially I'd like to get the Market without flashing my Hero to another ROM. I did google for hints how to achieve this, no avail. The closest probably market-enabler.
So now I decided to flash my Hero to a plain WWE ROM. I have downloaded
1. update-hero-generic-2.73.405.5-signed.zip
2. update-hero-radio-63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18-signed.zip
3. flashrec-20090815.apk
4. cm-recovery-1.4.img
And my current pointer is theunlockr's How To: Root Your HTC Hero in One Click! at http://bit.ly/TVoUL.
My Hero comes with
Firmware version: 1.5
Baseband version: 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18
Kernel version: 2.6.27-8dd6deee [email protected])
Build number: 2.73.728.5 146733 CL#61267 release-keys
Software version: 1.0.0.A6288
And I would like to have some helpful advices to flash the current ROM to the plain WWE ROM, which was downloaded as update-hero-generic-2.73.405.5-signed.zip.
Thank you
Wait a minute.
Is update-hero-generic-2.73.405.5-signed itself a ROM, or just an update? Now I'm confused.
Am I able to use that update-hero-generic-2.73.405.5-signed and get myself a plain ROM, or I need to get the actual plain ROM somewhere then only I can install the update-hero-generic-2.73.405.5-signed?
In my understanding (it may not be comprehensive) you have the new rom just a different language version being malaysian hero.
If i understand correctly all your after is the official google/android market?
YEAH! I do exactly as theunlockr's tutorials, and I made it through.
I have my Android Market now, instead of that unwanted SAM.
I am required to manually key in all the details and settings for my HSDPA/3G/Internet settings which are easily obtainable from my telco
As for now, I have a fully functional Hero, with Market! Yeah.

See here: there are two kits to root it (in English language) (I for myself used the "rooted tools version" and it functioned well (there was only a loop during the first or second reboot, I powered the phone of and after starting the phone everything was o.k. and went on with the root kit)):webside: sharp.cheeseus.org/index.php?page=Applications
For changing the language you can use some apps from the play store after rooting, (with the app from sightidea you can change as well without rooting but using adb)
I think your phone is unlocked, if not there is an unlock kit too
Hi,
I used sh06e_root_kit_v026 and usb_driver_SHARP_r8.5. Everything looks ok but I don't know if I can upgrade the system for Kitkat and how to do it.

No phone (phone radio) on LTE SGP771 (bought in Taiwan)

I bought a SGP771 (32GB LTE version) with keyboard in Taiwan and I am generally very happy with it. LTE works great (on Bell Canada) with data and I also can send/receive text. However, I am not able to do voice calls (except VOIP) with the SGP771.
Using the "phone status" app indicates that there is "no phone radio". I am assuming that this function was disabled for the Asian market. Is there any way to enable this function?
is it in the specs?
just my guess:
For phone functionality you also need GSM as a fallback or a provider that supports voice over LTE (starting in Europe with few).
If I remember the specs correctly (DL them from Sony developer site) the LTE in the tablet is only for data.
That is why I bought the wifi-version and tether via my phone. Also one contract less to manage.

Hi
You can make voice call with the SGP771
http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaz4tablet/userguide/Making-calls/
I not use myself because my contract with my provider is only for data and i don't have an other nanosim card to test
But you can make emergency call with or without a sim card

try to go to parameters ->More ->Providers and find your providers
Modify your APN providers if necessary.
@sun4energy and @killdozer56
OK I stand corrected by killdozer56
my only ideas now: try another phone app or flash a ROM for another region
I can use CSIPsimple for voip callls but that is not what sun4energy intended in his first post.

Hi there,
Thanks for all your suggestion. I have tried several phone apps and other things, however without luck.
With my rom version (Korea) of the SGP771 voice calls are definitely not possible, as this function seems to be disabled. I have checked the Service info on the tablet. It's telling me that I am a "global_novoice_user" with "Current Modem Config: /system/etc/customization/modem/amss_fsg_karin_korea_novoice_tar.mbn" etc. (see below).
Seems that I have to flash with a new rom in order to be able to make voice calls. Any suggestions for a "good rom"? What are my chances? What are my risks?

[US GENERIC E5506] Problem finding 5.1.1 FW update after flashing back to 5.0

Hello and thank you greatly for taking the time to read my thread, your help and wisdom is greatly appreciated.
I will provide a short and long summary of the events that unfolded with my US GENERIC/UNBRANDED [Amazon.com] SONY Xperia C5 Ultra [E5506]
Short:
I need to update from 5.0 to 5.1 but can't seem to via OTA/Sony PCC despite being able to previously. Is there a way to do this, and preferably, not lose my data [as when I updated from 5.0 to 5.1 before with Sony PCC]
Long:
Initially I had no problems updating my phone using Sony PC Companion to 5.1.1, but I also had no root access at the time and didn't know of any exploits/etc to gain root that were available.
I ended up on 5.1.1 and after some time used KINGROOT to root followed by SUPER-SUME Pro to try and switch root management software from the sketchy KINGROOT to SuperSU by chainfire.
SUPER-SUME Pro failed on step 2 of 2, and afterwards I had severe problems with my SD card applications and random phone restarts and "Optimizing apps... 1 of 246" Before this however 5.1.1 was working great.
I tried to factory reset but I didn't know about Xperia's anti theft protection and it had an error on 5.1.1 where upon trying to un-lock the phone from the Xperia website or device itself would fail.
On the device it would display "Xperia Care has crashed." when trying to authenticate the user.
I read that this was a common issue with C4/C5 devices running 5.1.1 and that many foreign users were having to ship their phone to USA Texas repair centers.
Instead of this I read and followed a guide on using XperiFirm+FlashTool to flash the original 5.0 back to the device. After this the phone was still in Xperia LOCKDOWN mode, but Xperia Care didn't crash and I was able to update my phone using my google account login.
The firmware I flashed was
Code:
Device: Xperia C5 Ultra (E5506)
CDA: 1299-5697
Market: USA
Operator: Customized US
Network: GENERIC
Release: 29.0.A.1.55 / R1A
Size: 1.31 GB
The problem I'm now having is that neither my phone via OTA, Sony PC Companion, or XperiFirm seem to have an R1A US update available from 29.0.A.1.55 / R1A [Android 5.0] to 29.1.A.0.87 / R1A [Android 5.1.1]
They all report that my 5.0 install is the latest version, and via the XperiFirm tool there is no other firmware listed other than the 29.0.A.1.55 / R1A [Android 5.0]
At this point I don't care about root so much as just being able to get back to 5.1.1 from 5.0.
Is there any assistance that anyone can provide? I have tried to find a 5.1.1 firmware to flash but all are other regions. Is there anyway to get Sony PCC to update or find the update OTA? I'm confused as to why the update seems to be missing for the US region when my phone is a US model and had the update before.
I was also hoping there was a way if I do find the firmware that I could flash it w/o losing application/user data, as I already extensively set everything up again.
Thanks again so much for reading and I greatly appreciate any wisdom the XDA-Dev forum has for me.
[I had screenshots of XperiFirm/Phone Info/PCC but I can't have outside links in my post as I'm a new forum member]
I flashed the Canadian WIND CA 29.1.A.0.87 R3A firmware (as I figured this was the closest thing to a US region firmware if there was differences) via FlashTool and didn't wipe Data and everything seems to be working great so far, back to the improved speed and lower system memory footprint that Lollipop 5.1 offered.
Hello again,
Does anyone have a copy of the Android 5.1 US Generic CDA 1299-5697 29.1.A.0.87 firmware? I can't find it on xperifirm, and ended up having to flash the WIND CA Canadian branded 5.1 when re-flashing 5.1 on my phone because the xperifirm 5.0 stated no updates available despite my US Generic branded C5 Ultra having previously updated fine through Sony PCC. :/
Having trouble finding it and now it despites my data plan is HSPA+/4G instead of LTE. Any ideas?
Wind in Canada is a 3G only carrier, and they don't enable LTE in their firmware.
How would I go about flashing a firmware that has LTE enabled if I can't find the US Generic firmware on xperifirm? Is there another 5.1 fw that would be safe?

In a rush so this will be short.
1. Flash back to stock US 5.0 full .tft
2. Next flash any 5.1 tft using only system.sin and boot.sin re-read/see my #1 post in the Flashtool thread for instruction. :good:
NOTE to ALL:
STOP FLASHING THE ENTIRE .TFT's THERE IS NO NEED UNLESS YOU HAVE A BRICK
Thank you so much for your quick response;
I did this [Flashed US stock 5.0, then just the system/boot from 5.1] and instead of displaying "4G" at the top when connected to data it now displays "H+"; is this AT&T LTE? I tried googling a bunch of information but got a lot of different answers.
I feel like when I was originally on the US 5.0>5.1 that Sony PCC installed [before the root incident/flash back to 5.0>Wind 5.1] that it said LTE at the top but maybe I just imagined it? Thanks again so much for taking time out of your day to help me, it's greatly appreciated. _(._.)_
EDIT: Just downloaded LTE On Off from the google play store and set the preferred network to LTE and it's showing LTE connection now, I did a speed test using speedof.me/m/, is 10 Mbps down / 2.7 Mbps up sound accurate for LTE?

I am not too sure about the US "LTE" or what all the bands mean in the US as they are very confusing
From my memory I seem to recall someone explaining about how at&t use a combo two 2/3G bands and call it LTE (4G) band ???? and 1700 I think
Sorry I can't be more helpful but you may get some better info from a US user. :fingers-crossed:
US version 5.1 is available now.

[Q] How to update Fujitsu F-02G Arrows NX to Android 5.1

Hello. Because this is a Japanese smartphone, the OTA update is available only in Japan.
Is there a way to upgrade the OS on this phone from the original version 4.4 to 5.1 in other ways?

I don't believe there is
to update to android 5.1 is not the problem, the problem is (i think) that you first have to update the software from NTT docomo network (Settings-->Device Management-->About Phone-->Software Update) (meaning you will have to bee in japan and using their network) and after that you can do the android update even outside Japan (Settings-->Device Management-->About Phone-->Upgrade Android Software)
i too own the F-02G but my advice is leave it on Kitkat the battery drain on 5.1 is way higher (found info looking at some japan forums, blogs etc.)
also you can use the application Debloater 3.90 located here on the forums to disable a lot of stuff that you don't need
hope it helps

Alas, but still need to update the docomo software and OS. The bug in version 4.4, associated with the inability to write to the SD card, is very annoying.
UpAny is useless, JPNOTA, capable of updating F-02G, is no longer available.
Have there been any ways other than sending the smartphone to Japan?
