Alright what your saying makes little sense but I'm gonna try to understand it
Are you asking if you can install the ph98img.zip by putting it inside a roms zip and flashing through recovery? if so then the answer is no, that file cannot be flashed without s-off

First time root phone not booting to ROM

I tried using hiemdall suite to flash my kernel entered the command hiemdall suite flash --kernel zImage everything worked as far as installing the CWM and I can boot to the CWM recovery screen and download mode but not directly to a ROM i get stuck at the yellow triangle screen. I put cyogenmod 9 on my sd card and named it update.zip then went to recovery mode and mounted my sd card. I selected to option apply update from /sdcard/update.zip and it didnt work any ideas to get me back on track?

Get into CWM, hit install zip from SDcard and then if you put it in internal storage go to choose zip from internal sdcard and if you put it on your regular sd card choose zip from sdcard. Then just find the .zip file and select it. After its flashed wipe data.

...It's wherever you dragged it to. Check internal and external SDCard in Recovery sometimes they get mixed up

First try what ninja said...in CWM try both "install zip from sd card" and "install zip from internal sd card".
If you still cannot find it, it sounds like you just misplaced the zip file. Try downloading it again, make sure you place it in the root of the external sd card, and then from CWM select install zip from sd card.

From a quick google search it seems you are going to have to restart the process all over again! (YAY!!)

Wiped phone completely stuck inn CWM recovery , can you help?

OK, I have a rooted HTC One and I was in clockworksmode recovery and I wipe my phone complete. My phone now has no Rom on it. How can I add a zip file on to it to install Rom. I have a otg cable with a flash drive, but when I try to install zip from flash drive CWM says Error mounting/eternal_sd! , and yes I have made sure that flash drive is formatted to FAT32. Is there any way that i can fix this Error or put the zip file on to my phone using the computer?

adb sideload rom.zip
or
adb push rom.zip /data/media/0
both of those will get the rom to your phone .. choose one
your phone needs to be in CWM recovery when you do it

[Q] [HELP] Recuse my android

I update gapps from zip file and then my phone can not star.
I only star with recovery mode.
But i neither mount ext sd card to get zip file for reupdate nor mount USB mod.
How can i copy file to phone stogare? (K-Touch Kiss U86)
If you're able to get into recovery, you can push the zip file through ADB. Just make sure you have the right drivers installed and ADB set up on your PC. Then just type in the following command
adb push file.zip /sdcard
Replace the word file with the name of your zip file
