Hello.
I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900A that I have rooted using towelroot and have verified that I have root access.
I am trying to backup my current ROM before I do anything so I have something to go back to and when I use any of the programs that everyone recommends for ROM management the phone boots into the Recovery screen and I get the following screen
Android system recovery <3e>
KOT49H.N900AUCUCNC2
#MANUAL MODE#
--appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the CSC-code : ATT
Successfully applied the multi-CSC
E:failed to mount /data (invalid arguement)
cant mount '/data' (invalid arguement)
E:failed to mount /data (invalid arguement)
E:cant mount /data/log/recovery_log.txt
E:failed to mount /data (invalid arguement)
E:cant mount /data/log/emmc_checksum_log.txt
From here it gives me the following options
Reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external sd card
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
int he middle of the screen I have a droid on its back with a red triangle with an ! in the center that says No command underneath it.
Im trying to make a ROM backup and have tried it using ROM toolbox, Nandroid Manager, TWRP Manager, Clockworkmod ROM manager
any help getting this ROM backed up would be appreciated.
Thanks
Robert
Does my bootloader need to be unlocked to get a backup and restore option? I have a rooted note 3 and an LG realm that both throw the same type error when I boot into recovery and they are rooted and my wife's galaxy s4 is not rooted and throws the same error when I boot it into recovery

ok so here i am not knowing what to do i need help im not the best in these things can someone clearly point me to a solution or help plz
You need to flash a better recover than the stock recover, which you will likely need to flash with Odin. I'd try the Vibrant board to see if someone there could be of more assistance, but that's basically what you're looking at, as far as I recall from my TMO Vibrant.
Ok here are the updates of the problem, i did the a complete wipe of the phone then flashed the ice cream sandwich from passion from the phone and i loaded now where it bugs is there is no mobile network so im kinda stuck it detect telus under access point but in network operator it find nothing any idea guys?
You need to go back to eh03 via odin. Then flash as usual through cwm. It happened to me before. Without odin you wont get out of this.

Hello,
I own a Korean galaxy player 5.0 (16GB) YP-GB70. I previously had a custom rom flashed onto it. But I tried flashing a new rom by following the directions, that is revert back to a stock rom and flash the new rom. But after I flashed the new rom, the device was stuck in boot loop. The recovery and the download screens work however. I tried flashing a stock rom again but it was again stuck in a boot loop. I tried flashing many other roms but none of them worked.
In recovery mode it keeps showing this
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
E:failed to mount /cache (No such file or directory)
E:Can't moundt /cache/recovery/recovery_kernel_log
E:copy_kernel_file :: Can't open /cache/recovery/recovery_kernel_log
E:failed to mount /cache (No such file or directory)
E:Can't mount /cache/recover/log

E:failed to mount /cache (no such file or directory)
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:failed to mount /cache (No such file or directory)
I tried wipe date/factory reset and wipe cache partition but neither helped.
Any help would be appreciated Thanks in advance!
hello
what FW did you flash last?
Did you touch at the PIT?
Do you use odin or other tool?
did you wipe "before" flashing? (can be different.)
IF ok you have to check if your memory partitioning has not been modified by a tricky kernel. (adb tools)
courage
Have you checked this thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457730
Since your model is a Korean (YP-GB70) the hardware is different from the International (YP-G70).
It appears you know how to flash ROMs via Odin so you will need only a original Froyo or Gingerbread firmware with the file dbdata.rfs and a .pit file to use the re-partition and make your playea as new...
I am a totally dumb to do this, but accidently happen. When I decided to clean my AT&T Samsung S3 device and somehow I accidently click "wipe data/factory reset" and all gone.
What it is saying on the screen right now:
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the CSC-code : ATT
Successfully applied muti-CSC.
E:failed to mount /data (Invalid argument)
can't mount '/data'(Invalid argument)
E:Can't mount /data/log/recovery_log.txt
So, I would like to recover my device back to normal.. I tried to remember how doing that...
...help?
Please ask in appropriate forum your in int'l s3.

You running S5830i/c/m/9i(COOPERVE) or S5830(COOPER)? If running cooperve, you might downloaded wrong CM11.
Hi everyone. I;m Edgard and I have a SGH-I317 Samsung.with DN3 ROM
First: I can not upload screen shots of the phone cause I don't have a way of taking pics.
This is the fourth day I'm searching on internet for a solution and nothing, that's why I'm asking here.
My phone worked fine. It rebooted by its self and got stucked with the Samsung Note 2 logo for ever.
So I rebooted to TWRP 3.0.2.0 and tried to do a Factory Reset
When its done it says:
(Top Legend)
Factory Reset Complete
Successful
(Bottom Legend)
Failed to mount '/efs' (invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/cache' (invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/system' (invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/data' (invalid argument)
...done
Unable to mount storage
If I go to Advanced Wipe and choose ANY of the options and do wiping, Repair or Change File System: I get the same Bottom Legends
If I try to flash stock rom with Odin, it says Write failure.
Tried using a PIT file downloaded here in XDA for SGH-I317 and get the same Write Failure
I tried flashing again DN3 with rom in sdcard and when I go te the sdcard root there's nothing and it is size is 0 (zero) bytes
All the folders I can see all say 0 bytes on the sdcard or phones memory say the same.
I didn't use ADB fastboot soft cause I don't know how to use it.
What I all see is that when I try to charde phones battery it gets stuck in the baterry with the grey circle logo but can't see it's charging.
I more details or info is needed please ask and I;ll try to anwser it.
If I can get camera I'll post pics of the screens I mentioned above.
Thank tou all in advanced for any kind of help
