Galaxy Mega i9200 Bricked under mysterious circumstances help please! (QHSUSB_DLOAD) - Samsung Galaxy Mega

Hey folks ,
My new mega got bricked overnight under mysterious circumstances. It was not rooted , no custom recovery no tampering whatsoever. Somehow , overnight , while the phone was still on it shut off apparently and the next morning it was not responsive. In the device manager it shows QHSUSB_DLOAD. This ain't samsung , i presumed. Apparently this is the signal of the hardbrick. I found some debrick methods specifically the one that should include a pit file from my rom. I can't find any debrick.img compatible. I've been all over the internet.
I need a debrick.img from the stock 4.4.2 kitkat rom.
I followed the link below and flashed the debrick image to my external sd and checked with disk part , the partitions are there on the extsd but i think it's not compatible with either my rom or the fact that it's a i19205 image for it doesn't boot. I need a i9200 kitkat debrick image following the same method to try it out.

Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem - i9200 not rooted.. stuck on logo... I can't "see" the download mode (the screen stays black) but I can get to it by following the steps (power, v-down, home then pressing up) Odin recogizes it and I downloaded a firmware.. then odin said I needed a pit file.. so I downloaded that from here for the i9200... now I amd getting re-partition operation failed... I have tried all my usb ports and 3 different cords, I have tried with the internet off, kies uninstalled, and the battery in/out... I don't know what else to do.. I've been messing with this for 2 days - 15+ hours I am seriously about to go insane!! Any new ideas or thought on what I am doing wrong?

Sorry folks , i forgot about this thread.
Apparently , there is a common problem with i9200. The soc can free some of it's connections from the board. Which is what caused my brick on this instance. We diagnosed this with a friend who has a riff box. Jtag failed. We figured something must be wrong. It was the soc. I had the SoC reballed by a professional. Since then it boots fine.

Does this JTAG file has a main thread here in XDA with more detailed information and all the necessary files?
Because this guide tell you to get some files into an external micro SD card, which are not available here. Also, it says connect "Anyway JIG", what is this jig? it says that this jig is powered by a power supply.. so where can I get this "Anyway JIG"?
I mean, how come there is still no jtag for the I9300?
Thanks

All the JTAG does is force the phone into download mode. If you can already get into download mode, JTAG wont hep you with anything.
If you're having a problem flashing things in download mode, and you've read the return to stock guides, search for your Odin error here. If still nothing, create your own thread for support.

It was the main circuit board that went wrong and the Samsung repair fixed it it was also due to the leaked 4.2.2 firmware causing the device to get over heated now have my phone back and its not heating up at all on 4.1.2 and my sd problem was due to the over heating I had to replace the sd 4 times at a cost of £100.00 just over then had charging problems which was due to the supplied with the phone having a break in it then found out that using one of my old lg gt540 usb wire works perfectly with the usb mains adapter with no more problems at all but I am looking forward to 4.3 and some of the new features hope this post can help a few more people as it took me 3weeks to find any info on charging this phone

[Q/Discuss] Unbricking "Hardbricked" S4 that still reads Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader

[Q/Discuss] Unbricking "Hardbricked" S4 that still reads Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader
So this is my first hard bricked S4 besides the one I had overheat which wouldnt read anything when plugged into a PC.
I've gone over and over the internet trying to find a sure fix for this S4 model i545 MK2 with no luck I tried making a debrick img maybe didnt do it right but didnt get a response from the phone. I'm able to see that QB mode when ever I plug it in.
Has anyone had any luck reviving these things without a JTAG box? I'm trying to not spend anymore money as I B broke.
Thanks in advance for your time!
Hoping to turn this thread into a how to debrick an S4 I know theyve had success with S3s and lower I think its time we figured out the S4's now.
-gogolie
You can't make a debrick image while the phone is in this state. As far as I know the sdcard boot unbrick method has been tried and fails
JTAG or a usb jig are your only options.

thanks I can verify as is a debrick img wont work. i wonder if thats because im using a SS phone's debrick img tho was hoping to find a debrick img from an mk2 stock but no luck. or if the sdcard mode needs to be triggered somehow on our phones? I ordered a jig per your advice I tried making my own which worked for the old s2s but it didnt work for the s4. hopefully the one I ordered works theres no specific one I need is there? what about using qpst and trying to+ restore an NV backup
Moved to Verizon S4 Q&A based on original model and that this isn't a "development" more than Q/A.
Booting from sdcard is possible on our s4 according to data found in seclog. You need the correct gpt header so the partitions can be found. It should be SDCC.4

ok thanks for the insight can you elaborate for the less capable like myself Should i apply that gpt with something like gdisk for win to a mk2 debrick? do u have a debrick img you'd be willing to share? PM me like if not public. Otherwise how do you go about enabling the sdcard mode and restoring at least the download so i can use odin. also i'm sure its not but thought I'd ask is it possible to bring the phone back to mdk from here as its the furthest down software wise you can be isnt it? ive heard even with a jtag'd s4 you cant so im highly doubting a yes or even maybe but damn i miss mdk. otherwise using qpst or rev or something has issues restoring as the bl cookie is missing from the files ive tried but i dont have a working s4 to go off either so that makes it 100x more frustrating and difficult. any help would be nice bro I'll pass you off some of the donations i got from my users towards a new phone if u can save me from jtag'ing which is like 60 n seems like a rip off for another 60 i could just buy a riff
I had to send my phone out twice for JTAG services. Hard bricked it two times and JTAG worked both times. On hard bricked situations the jig will not work.

[Q] Broke My Beloved Galaxy S YP-GI1CW

Hi
I unsuccessfully tried to root my YP-GI1CW using the process described at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1852546
I realise now it was the wrong process but unfortunately my player now has the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue".
I would like to recover if if possible but Although Odin can detect the device when attached, adb does not see any devices. Im not sure if I can make the damage any worse but would appreciate any help in recovering my device.
Thanks - xdanewbie
Did you make a backup of your ROM first off
Second: can you get in recovery
Third: if you want to superuser try superoneclick to root your device
Fourth:you have to be careful not to do things like that it's very dangerous to the device.

As long as you can access download mode you should be able to get the device working again. I'd try heimdall (get suite 1.3 I believe) instead of Odin. It usually works better. You just need to find the Odin stock package for your device.

Hi
I realised that Heimdall was failing as it was using the standard sansung USB drivers. Im now trying to figure out how to stop those drivers from loading every time i plug in the YP-GI1.
In the meantime, I used ODIN to try and load the PIT and PDA rom image.
It appears to work but then the write fails (see attachment)
Any help would be appreciated - Thanks

Hi
I couldnt get zdiag to pick up any driver, the word samsung_android briefly appears when i connect the usb cable to the device but by the time standard usb driver load, the zdiag drop down window is blank.
However, I tried Odin 3.0.7 with the pit and rom files and the device did flash sucessfully. Now the device boots and says sansung galaxy SII GT-9100G and a yellow triangle and stops there. I can boot the device into download mode but I cannot seem to get into recovery mode by holding power-home-vol+
Im not even sure if this is progress or whether I have used the wrong rom (which i doubt because it clearly stated it was for the galaxy 4.2 international version YP-GI1CW
I have taken a screenshot of the successful flash.
Thanks for talking the time to help me. Im a little stuck now as I dont know what to do next.

First you would need to take the right package for your device as I explicitly written it was made for YP-G1 only. (See the YP-G1CW) you would need in that case, something so you can fully restore your device. Maybe you can find it in the 4.2 general forum.
And even so you said it was made for the 4.2, the file says it's for YP-G1 a.k.a the 4.0.

Did you try getting the 4.2 drivers from Samsung Kies and then using zadig? Also it seems like you're using an S2 restore, which isn't for your device. The comment I linked you to is for restoring a YP-G1 so you would have to get the right heimdall package for your 4.2 like zaclimon said.

Yep, Im officially an idiot. I did not even know the firmware was for the 4.0. I had missed the different between the YP-G1 and theYP-GI1
I have now found the correct rom here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884071
However, i have tried every version of Odin from 1.3 to 3.0.9 and they all fail to complete the Nand write (see below)
I have tried 2 pc's with 2 cables and all versions of Odin.
Any other pointers would be appreciated.

I think you are going to have to use Heimdall for this. Try and get the drivers installed for this device, and see if zadig picks it up.
Day 4
Hi
OK. It appears that I can either setup my PC to Use Heimdall (which requres the samsung KIES drivers NOT to be installed) or Odin (which requires the drivers to be installed)
I have now deinstalled the kies usb drivers, run drivecleanup to remove the old usb entries and downloaded Heimdall 1.3.1. When I run zdiag it picks up the samsung usb driver and install the heimdall driver.
Im trying now to use the rootted rom available (which seems ok for odin) available at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884071
However, if I try to use it with Heimdall 1.3.1 it says missing firmware.xml
I have a friends galaxy 4.2 also. Is there any way to extract the required info from that device or can anyone give pointers to where i might find a heimdall package for the YP-GI1CWXEU
Thanks - xdanewbie
In my opinion...heimdall is a little more advanced as opposed to odin. I suggest you stick to Odin...the flash might have failed because you flashed the wrong files before. From your thread...I believe you will get the PIT file...flash that and then flash the ROM and if you want, the kernel.
EDIT: I tested Odin v3.04...and it works fine with my YP-GI1.

Hi
Thanks for your help. I have the rom from the link above but where would i get the pit file from ?
Thanks - xdanewbie
Update: I found the PIT file for the international 4.2 version. I used odin 3.04 with the pit file followed by the rom and my device its now working again Is there any way now to get rid of the Salaxy S2 logo ?
Either way, many thanks to all who helped and I hope this thread helps those who were as silly as I was !
Thanks - xdanewbie
To remove the yellow triangle, you need to use a USB JIG, google the term to know what I mean. There are no other ways to do the same.

PS: For those who may be interested, 4.2 case seem very expensive. I purchased this (whch is for a galaxy S2) and its a perfect fit but you need to
extended the button holes with a dremel.
