Hi, I've a doubt...my Xperia U status is "Unlock bootloader allowed: NO", so, can I unlock it with SETool? Even I have to pay for? Or there is no way to unlock it at all?
Thanks!!

No. You can't unlock it with any programs. It's impossible.

I want to unlock the bootloader of the xperia u st25i and i have the bootloader allow unlock, or whatsoever, that sais yes.
But I dont want to send sony my imei because of the warranty. (if i dont send sony any data of me unlocking bootloader, incase of problem if i relock it, the waranty will be back i think)
Is there a form of unlocking it in which i dont have to send sony my imei and i dont have to pay either???
I ve been serching for severan days and nothing interesting i have found.
Thinks are easier with samsung that dont have bootloader and in case of problem you only need to instal original rom and erase binary counter... But with sony its quite a mess!!
Thanks in advance

There is no other way to unlock your bootloader unless you make an unlock request to sony, and obtain the unique code for your device to complete the process of unlocking, However there's a method called "Test point method" where you don't need to send the request, but its not efficient and not advised to do.
Anyways if warranty is your problem, don't worry !
Back up your TA and DRM keys, there's a tutorial for it, before unlocking,
And you can gain your warranty after relocking, and restoring them.
Follow this for unlocking

Try flashtool method. It worked for many of the xperia users.
If i helped press thanks.
I know that metod, but as i said, i have to ask sony for the unlock key, and my question is if there is a method that i dont have to ask sony for a code.
Thanks anyway.

Just asking Sony for the code shouldn't affect your warranty, because asking for it and actually using it are different, and just asking it, but not using it doesn't affect your phone.
I unlocked mine anyway as Sony UK told me just unlocking the bootloader doesn't void the warranty.

If you are in 2.3.4 you need unlock the boot loader and after that you can install a ROM, if you have 2.3.5 you can't unlock and can't flash ROMs higher than 2.3.5

Hi guys well I have a One here in Mexico and don't know much so here it goes. 1. If I unlock the bootloader can I flash any official software? 2. How will I update it later when 4.4. Comes out? Do i really have to do a s_off or just the unlocked bootloader will do? Thanks
