Try this...Download LG Flash tool and the 10B KDZ file and flash it back to 10B. Then download Stump to your phone's storage and run it. It should give you root back. I would then use Flashify
to flash a recovery and get you to TWRP. There are instructions on how to use the LG Flash tool for Windows and Mac...Just Google it. Hope this helps.

Maybe you could connect your N10 to ddms and get the URL of the update file it's trying to load?
Sounds like it's already downloaded.... "restart and install", if rooted, look in /cache and copy out the .zip and the hash file as they will be deleted when installed.....
That's the 4.2 - JOP40C update everyone gets when get their devices... after that you will get one more to update to 4.2.1 - JOP40D
If i'm rooted, what's gonna happen if I install & restart?!
I don't know about the 4.2.1 update but when the first update installed I had to reinstall CWM and root again.
4.2.1 install broke root but I preserved my root with Voodoo OTA rootkeeper before getting the download. After the install was complete and I lost root, went into voodoo and restored root. Super easy. Everything still has access and all new apps that need root access get it.

I did the same thing without any issues. However, it did revert my TWRP recovery back to stock. I just went back into the bootloader, connected it to my PC and run "fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.3.2.3-manta.img" to reflash back to the TWRP recovery. It was good to go!! :good:

[Q] Help. Stuck in Android system recovery<3e>

hi i managed to update my tab to the latest firmware 4.0.4 . Previously it was already rooted and TWRP installed. I was thinking of rooting and backing up this build so from romtoolbox i boot into recovery mode (thinking that i will be seeing TWRP) But when boot i was shown the folllowing picture

}
since all of my buttons are not working (hence the reason installing TWRP ) i was ok fine lets reboot it via adb. therefore i run adb reboot and yet it still boots back to the same screen . Thinking i need to reverting all of the changes via odin i tried reboot download also does not work. reboot-bootloader also does not work. apprently i am stuck at this screen.
Right now i only have access to adb and is there any way i can recover from this?
many thanks again
I'm assuming you were running some kind of custom rom with TWRP as your recovery before going to stock ICS. Essentially, flashing stock ICS overwrote the old TWRP.
To fix it, flash in TWRP again (its somewhere in the development section) via Odin.
EDIT: If you can't access download mode... Try push the TWRP .tar file via ADB

the thing is i only root and installed twrp for the sake of backing up since my daughter loves to install application. I've read about pushing / Installing application but that would requires root right? this is my command console like
Right now is there a way to force it to boot into download because thats the only way i see i can fix it (without using physical buttons)
Again many thanks for replying.

[SEEK] Thread with complete explanations on custom rom protocol installation

Hello there, I won't lie, I ask for help, you answer me.
I don't understand enought your method, because it's not well described.
But.. Therefore...
I'm able to root my device.
I'm able to backup my ta partition or my drm keys.
I'm able to unlock my bootloader.
I'm able to restore my bootloader to lock it back.
i'm able to unbrick my phone when it couldn't boot via flashtool.

But I'm unable to install a custom recovery and or even launch the stock on it there was one.
I tried this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647492 (normal boot and no pink led).
I tried this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799388 via flashtool and my phone couldn't boot, even to the SONY logo, but it were vibrating when pushing on the power button.
Anyway, I flashed via flashtool the 14.4.A.0.108 back, now I'm still rooted and the bootloader is still unlocked.

What can I do to install a custom recovery via the 14.4.A.0.108 ?
Or this operation is impossible and I have to downgrade ?
(I read about downgrade and I'm affraid to lose my IMEI)

I'm pretty sure the problem here is that there is a stock firmware development aka the custom ROMs can't just start "taking over from where the devs left off" like it happened with Samsung Devices that get stuck at v4.1.2 unless someone else does something about it.
I guess most things here just are not stable. I hope the stock works out for you. Did you get the rooting done? I found a video tutorial for that here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...de-root-android-4-4-4-ver-14-4-0-108-t2801587

Hello, of course I have done rooting, now I'm back in full stock, nk rooting, just pure sony beauty. And everything works better without root, or it doesn't matter, but the navigation and the use of the device is much smoother without lags

Opx twrp fail

Hello everyone.
I have problem with my OnePlus X. It's rooted and a week ago starts roll out new Oxygen 2.2. I get OTA update, but I can't install it. I understand, it's because of root, but I downloaded zip file and trying to install it via TWRP and it always say's FAIL. Even on FACTORY RESET. I read a lot of stuff but it's always the same. Flash custom recovery and install ROM via TWRP or CMW.
Can you help me?
Thanks
what are you flashing? the full ROM or the OTA? which TWRP are you using and what is the error message?
I was trying to flash OTA Oxygen 2.2 but it doens't work. So I tried full ROM (oxygen and Cyanogenmode) and it doesn't work too. I have TWRP v2.8.7.0 .

OTA can't work it's normal.
Full zip should but if not, you have to install Bluspark recovery.
twrp-2.8.7.0-onyx_f2fs_v12.img
Okey thanks a lot. I'll try it.

Just to be sure, You followed well the unlock bootloader / recovery install and root instructions? You didn't just do the oneclick root approach?
Not one click. Full root.
It' should work with the recovery I told you, as it worked with others....
I hope it will. Thanks a lot man.
Do one thing,
Flash blu spark recovery, Then choose the 2.1.3-X zip n in the next step "add zips" add 2.2 (latest one) patch which is about 40mb n flash both at once.. it will do it n u will b on Oos 2.2
YES! Got it. I downloaded full ROM 2.2 Oxygen and I did new recovery (blue spark) and it all works Thanks guys )

I know people have been using kingroot to root 47A but it's a temporary root and you have to re root everytime you reboot. But I know there is a thread here on xda on how to install supersu and get rid of all of kingroot, and I believe you'll be rooted permanently after that.

The Kingroot part does. Don't know about swapping to SuperSU. That was always iffy; some users would have success using SuperSUMe and others would brick their device requiring flashing the 10B TOT using the .DLL from the 35B KDZ, which is always what I recommend first anyway.

Yes KingRoot does work, although it is temporary. And people see it as suspicious due to its Chinese origins.

Cool. Absolutely. If you only use it to root long enough to flash the stock partitions, it'll be wiped out completely anyway. Can you tell me, is 10E the stock firmware currently loaded on your V490? (Settings / About / Software) I believe.

@Faateh
Ignore me. I got confused about what thread I was responding to, and therefore what device I was trying to help with.
That's why I mistakenly asked about if you were running 10E on the V490. LOL.
