I know people have been using kingroot to root 47A but it's a temporary root and you have to re root everytime you reboot. But I know there is a thread here on xda on how to install supersu and get rid of all of kingroot, and I believe you'll be rooted permanently after that.

Please next time post questions in the Q&A section. I'll ask a moderator to move this thread.

I do not think that works on 47A Marshmallow 6.0

The Kingroot part does. Don't know about swapping to SuperSU. That was always iffy; some users would have success using SuperSUMe and others would brick their device requiring flashing the 10B TOT using the .DLL from the 35B KDZ, which is always what I recommend first anyway.

Yes KingRoot does work, although it is temporary. And people see it as suspicious due to its Chinese origins.

Cool. Absolutely. If you only use it to root long enough to flash the stock partitions, it'll be wiped out completely anyway. Can you tell me, is 10E the stock firmware currently loaded on your V490? (Settings / About / Software) I believe.

@Faateh
Ignore me. I got confused about what thread I was responding to, and therefore what device I was trying to help with.
That's why I mistakenly asked about if you were running 10E on the V490. LOL.

Try this...Download LG Flash tool and the 10B KDZ file and flash it back to 10B. Then download Stump to your phone's storage and run it. It should give you root back. I would then use Flashify
to flash a recovery and get you to TWRP. There are instructions on how to use the LG Flash tool for Windows and Mac...Just Google it. Hope this helps.

EDIT: It managed to root after a second try
Firstly, you take all responsibility for using this work.
Love flashing ROMs and find it a hassle finding a computer and the time to reinstall genuine LG G3 firmware?
This ROM is for you!
This ROM lets you install the latest v20i european firmware without a computer but by using TWRP. And it is already rooted!
Steps:
1. Download the file
https://mega.nz/#!QYlh3Q7J!1cKq244pEOwD7GmyWbQzYkXBEt2_kKemzqEEGvHUkVI
2. Unzip it using your favourite file explorer. I use Root Explorer!
3. Place the contents in the following location (create folder if necessary!):
/storage/emulated/0/TWRP
4. Reboot into TWRP recovery
5. Factory reset
6. Click 'restore' and select the nandroid backup.
7. Boot into the latest v20i firmware with root!

For what I know the 20I is the newer for EUR. Looks like the changelog is bigger

Yes, in UK, where I am, 20i is the latest ota version. Using this method saves loads of time so feel free to use, or not
Can someone point me out a changelog for LG OTA updates? Can't seem to find any.

can you replace this baseband (radio) with international baseband (20p) ?
to see what's the different if use regional baseband and international baseband.
I think the v20p thread had a list of ota changelog. You can flash another modem baseband if you have the zip file.

Sorted!
I've been searching for a post that tells me how to start installing roms on a verizon s4, but most of these post are out-dated.
So is there a way to start installing roms or am I shut out completely (lollipop 5.0.1 latest)?
What roms should I consider for stable phone use?
Where is said tutorial for noobs?

IIRC, Vzw bootloader was never unlocked unless it was the MDK version. If you have any other versions you will need to familiarize yourself with something called Safestrap. It should be covered in the Verizon GS4 forums.

I would try the OF1 methods outlined in the General section. You have to use a Samsung specific Xposed. The one by arter97 is for deodexed ROMs, there is one by dcclark for odexed (stock) ROMs.

I am in the same situation with the OP, except I am on an older firmware NC5. I just saw a video about how to root it and install Safestrap. Is Safestrap a custom recovery like CWM and TWRP?
If I manage to get Safestrap on my phone, would I be able to install AOSP-based Roms? (Many ROM claim it will only work with MDK. ) I mean if we can get Safestrap on it, then we can already bypass the locked bootloader, right?
I'm having issues passing safetynet on a Samsung J3 Emerge while using Magisk. I have read thread after thread and their doesn't seem to be a fix. I'm not sure If it's an issue with samsung devices but as soon as I restore boot.img everything is works fine. Rather annoying to do so just to use a few apps that need root or won't work on rooted devices. I read in a forum that
I'm at the point of pulling my hair out due to frustratration. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Had you uninstalled any bloatware? If yes, then you need to reinstall it as a system app again to fool SafetyNet and make it believe that your device isn't rooted.

Greetings,
Just purchased my LG K92 5G
Trying to Root, but I can't find a guide to do so.
Is there a walk through that I can follow?
TWRP doesn't have anything on their site.
I'd rather not use any of the One click rooters, but if I have to.......
Really just trying to get rid of the bloatware that comes installed on this device.
It's a Cricket phone, if that makes a difference.
Thanks and good Karma for anyone that can help.
