[Q] Lollipop for Sprint LS990 - Sprint LG G3

Anybody had any luck getting anywhere with getting us a working version of Lollipop, preferably with root? I know other versions of the LG G3 are getting some headway with this, some better than others. But like many of us Sprint user, looking forward to a working Lollipop for Christmas! Please and thank you Santa!

We already have cm12, located in the G3 Original Android Development Forum.

Looks like the mods moved those other threads that were in the wrong place & here we go again. Learn where to post. Its pretty simple, you got a question, it doesn't belong in development

This belongs in the Q&A section, not development. Please read the rules before posting. Also, not to be rude, but a quick Google search for the words "sprint g3" and "lollipop" would have returned numerous links to different builds of Lollipop for the LS990, not just CM12. Apparently no one ever searches anymore. People on XDA really don't like it when you start a thresd for a question that's been answered a million times elsewhere and is almost impossible to miss.
Mods please remove this redundant thread.

Where are you seeing other L builds? I just did a pretty extensive Goosearch and found nothing, save an article claiming to have a leaked build of LG L, which directed me to Mega, and I hate Mega with a passion.

Yeah I did the same, there are no Sprint LG G3 stock Lollipop builds in the wild that I see. Regardless this thread isn't in the right place.

Check the Original Development section. Had my G3 running Lollipop earlier today.

Good news from the ICS ATT SGSII front (Better news for Skyrocket)

RootzWiki has broken news that they have a leaked official 4.0 for the ATT SGSII Skyrocket.
Interesting fact: build date is March 14.
Good news for us... I can only hope so. Just wanted to share this little tidbit with the SGSII world.

This. It Is of no use to us.

The skyrocket isn't anything like our I777. This doesn't help at all.

Where did I say it would help?
Give a bit of insight into Samsung development progress of current gen phones in then ICS relm. Just a bit of interesting news, welcome to the GENERAL forum.

just how I said a months ago, Skyrocket and Vivid are getting ICS before the i777, the source release helped but still not a fully functional.

Nobody hates you, they and I just hate useless thread.
If the article said something about the ATT i777, then it is a good news, however, it's all about the i727. Absolutely have nothing to do with this forum.
"Give a bit of insight into Samsung development progress of current gen phones in then ICS realm"

And we're already aware the ****rocket got an ICS leak that was useless to us. Thus this thread is useless because it's redundant - the OP is yet another person who broke the XDA rules and posted without searching. The ****rocket ICS leak has already been discussed numerous times in other threads, it is NOT news and does NOT justify creating yet another new thread so that you can get "omg I have my own thread on XDA!!!" cred.
We're about a week out of kernel sources, and we already have ICS in a better state than that leak. The only things that remain are polishing and NFC, and the polishing part would be required even if we'd gotten official ICS at the same time as the I9100 - it simply takes time to do a proper kernel on a new source base for a completely new Android base.
NFC may require an official I777 ICS release, or maybe just a bit of hacking to get the M250S/K stuff working on I777. If I can get the M250 stuff working on I777, there's a good chance I can get it working on CM9 at that point too.
Redundant thread is redundant.
Closed thread is closed.

About G2 development...

Hi, i have noticed that the available aosp roms are pretty stable and they came super quick to the device.
My question is; how and why is it like this, is the G2 developer-friendly or are they just "cheating" or bypassing something i dont know about?
I also wonder how the G2 is compared to the N5 regarding development of roms and such..thanks in advance.

The G2 smokes the N5 regarding development of ROMs and such... Because there are NO ROMs for the N5!!!???
And they're totally cheating. That's why they're developers. Why ask how or why and just hit the thanks and DONATE.

Hello mr. obvious, fyi. i have donated several times to different devs (you could have asked first) and i ask because i am curious (duh!)
Wait...first we have threads asking why there is no development or ROMS available, folks threatening to return their phones if they don't see ROMs
&
then we have ROMs and folks are asking why we have ROMs? Wait, whut?! LMAO

I understand your question and from what i know is that phones utilizing qualcom chips are easier to develop for because the sources are available unlike exynos.

There is no cheating if developers find the correct drivers and sources they can port ROMs easily. Nexus 5 just came I'm sure in a few weeks it will be flooded with ROM and Kernels.

[Q] [REQ] CM11 for D802

Is anyone here able to built a CM11 for D802?
For HTC One there are 3 builder but the closest device to Nexus 5 has no-one that can do this? Please help.

that's bad. this device is so nice and fast. compared with my HTC One it is generations ahead.
There's no point in asking this question. Do you really think there's devs who start building the latest cm for the g2 because you say pretty, pretty please, while if you hadn't asked, they wouldn't build it? I really can't understand why people start threds like this.

No is the answer you always have unless you ask.
Sometimes asking guarantees a no, difficult. lol

threads like this will always keep coming, best is to report it.
Here is how it is: the device is new, as always with new devices it takes time before enough people have the device to work with it. The htc one has been around for some time and enough devs have it to have "3 builders".
In about 6 month when next cm version releases and a new phone releases, guess what? This phone will get the "updates" faster than that new phone. And repeating this year after year until everyone is poor.

Hello,
Can I flash verzion g3 roms on my sprint g3? And if so are there any thing that doesn't work?

Wrong thread, and no.
Where are the mods? There's a few threads here that shouldn't be.
Maybe they are just to busy with the 8000 roms popping up for the other carriers that I've hated for awhile now & even more so now.

Wrong thread. Yes. However. Yes you can. I've personally flashed several carrier ROMs using sprint kernel afterwords. Verizon however I get borked data. Fc settings. Tmo usually I can get OK but I do not suggest this to anyone that doesn't prepare for issues. Knowing a bit from owning g2 will help. It is same principle ...just I had too much fun one day. Wound up flashtool but I enjoy flash tool etc. I do not condone. Its your phone. Be safe. Make backup. I did not give thumbs up. Just answering you best I can in truth. You'll play a while trying to get CDMA too often.

Stock rooted lollipop rom

So I have been trying a few different roms over the last couple weeks (paranoid android, bliss pop and cm12) and I am curious if anyone is working on a rooted stock lollipop rom that is debloated?
Am I waiting on a rom that's not going to happen?
If so can I get a few opinions on the most stable rom that can be used as my daily driver. 5.0 and wireless qi charging are the most important.
Thanks, Matt

Maaaan! You made me happy for a second!
I have been waiting for this as well!
this should have been posted in the General or QA section!
Oh Geebus duck and cover!
currently they are working on gaining root on 23A(stock lollipop rom) and have had no luck. So it doesn't exist yet.
This may have been a bad place to post this as I hear the fuel for the flame wars start to turn up.

You asked a question in the wrong thread using the tite "Stock rooted Lollipop ROM".... what were you thinking? You have been a member since 2012, you should know to use the search function. There is a thread at the top of the general forums discussing how root is not possible on lollipop yet, and several other threads discussing the progress.
Obviously I posted in the wrong section of the forum.
The search function is available and I understand that.
Basically, I'm sick of trying a lot of different roms and was looking for help.
I have seen others flamed for the same thing and do not like being on this side of it.
I usually just figure out these types of issues on my own and this is the reason why!! I will keep reading and trying each rom until I find the BEST one for me.

No offence taken!! I'm just really surprised how mad people can get for one screw up! I've been around here for quite a while and appreciate the heads up. I think that this kind of stuff makes new comers afraid to ask questions with out being ridiculed. I am far from a newb and should have kept working by trial and error..
Thanks again, matt
