I seem to have a problem with the Smart actions app - there's no location triggers to choose from and I don't see how you can add them manually either...
When I try to add a location trigger, I get a blank list with the text "Not any meaningful locations to display". Any thoughts on this?

Right... I dont see a green plus so there must be something wrong with my version of the app.
Do you think you could help me out and upload your .apk of Smart actions? Would be much appreciated!
After a fair bit of detective work, I found that I was actually missing the "SocialLocations.apk" app which creates location triggers... weird.
I pulled it from a /system dump on xda and problem solved!
many people have the same problem with smart actions location trigger: could you please upload the file so everybody who needs it can download? thanks

I have MIui (Android 4.0.4.). Put this apk in system/app but it didn't help. Also the app didn't appear on my desktop (all programs)
Could smb upload the latest version of Sociallocation.apk?
In my case, out thinks I am on two places at once. The places are miles apart. Anyone else have this issue? Solution?

Finally, restored social location from official ICS backup via AppExtractor. But still no "+" sign...
Yes I did. In the location setting for the specific rule it will show all your saved locations and moat likely they are all checked. Make sure only the location pertaining to the specific rule is checked and that should fix the issue

hello all,
I am looking for app. or any other solution which disable the camera.
Does anyone have such a solution?
Thanks,
htako
You could use Titanium Backup to freeze your cammera app. (Although i suspect it would cause some future force-closes)
If you only want to prevent camera usage for a non-advanced user, you could just hide the camera icon, using samsungĀ“s touchwiz-embeded hide icons feature.
anyhow, why would someone want to disable their camera anyways?
Simple move or delete it from /system/app with something like Root Explorer...

As second poster said, freeze it, but it can be unfreezed...
But it's kinda pointless you do so from software, because other people can easily download and install another camera from play store... unless you can disable it under hardware level...

By change /dev/exynos-mem permission, you may be able to prevent any kinda camera applications from running . At least I tried and camera runs, but only get green screen

Use something like Root Explorer or similar file manger, navigate to /dev , there is a file named "exynos-mem" , long press it, choose permission, and uncheck all box
See screenshot
I DO HOPE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, AND TAKE NOTE OF ITS PREVIOUS PERMISSION SETTING IN ORDER TO RESTORE CAMERA FUNCTION , OTHERWISE YOU WILL DISABLE YOUR CAMERA AND WON'T BE RECOVERED EVEN YOU FLASH NEW ROM UNLESS YOU CHANGE IT TO THE RIGHT PERMISSION. AND I AM NOT TAKING ANY RESPONSIBLE ABOUT THIS!!!

Do you familliar with apps that control camera dis/en?
the solution you recommended seems to be irreversible
It shouldn't be irreversible. Go back to the file long press and select the boxes same as last time.
You're only changing permissions, once back to how it was, this will bring the camera app back.

lol I like how he quoted that dude using ""

Noob question apologies...
Both the odex and apk files are listed. Do I need both of these files or JUST the apk? (visualvoicemail) If I need both, how do I install the odex file?
Thanks!
Update: I tried the apk you posted and I still get to the xApplication not installed error.
What I did was, downloaded your apk, copied that into the system/app folder, made sure permissions were rw--r--r.
Rebooted
Went back to that apk and ran it as an apk, still got error.
Could it be because of the odex file?

You would use both files if they are there. Those are from a stock version of the original software.
