Does anyone have a boot.img of the fully Stock Kernel? - HTC One X+

Hello, I just installed the Android Revolution Rom for my HOX+ international. I had Viper rom with Elitekernel... but I noticed that AR recommends stock kernel... Is there any way to install just the stock kernel? should I use firmware install tool and uncheck everything other than kernel? Or is there a boot.img that I could flash in fastboot that would take me back to stock???

Take the Boot.img out of the AR zip file
As far as i know it is the Stock kernel with just a few Tweaks

ARHD also works fine with the EliteKernel, but you have to use the 4.2.x version (it should be the same as for ViperX+). I used this combination for a long time until I switched to CarbonROM (also with EliteKernel).

elitekernel
I am currently using Elitekernel... but I noticed that the back of my phone will get really hot at times... I am not 100% sure this is kernel related... but I wanted to check... I will try switching to the boot.img from the ARHD zip

[Q] [DEVS] Touch Screen Issue/Bug with CM/AOSP Based ROMs and AROMA Inst. NEO V MT11a

Hi Everybody. As the title say, I am facing issues with the touch screen when i install Any CM ROM(FXP-Official)/AOSP. At the first boot I Can not unlock my phone or skip the "Tutorial". After Reboot the phone, the problem is still there
*I Flashed the BB recommend for each ROM (.72)
*I Installed the Respective Kernel via Fastboot:
- fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then
- fastboot boot boot.img
*I did a Full Wipe (Cache, Data, Dalvik)
*Format - System
*I flashed ROM
* And....Nothing
Any Solution? Anyone?
Thanks
EDIT. Every SE based ROMs (MIUI etc.) work without that BUG
EDIT. 03/03/13 AROMA Installer also does not work (Only with Vol and Menu buttons)

I know, I did that when i was installing FXP113 or 115 (With respective kernels) i mean the problem is with FXP Kernel and ROM .... Is there any patch or something?
UPDATE: Please Someone Help me... I tried the ICS Official Leak from here ,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594651 and following the Instructions, i STILL get the same issue...: The Touch Screen Does not Work (Hardware buttons works) Anyone?
PS. With AOSP,Mooded and other ICS ROMs with Nightelf,Pwn etc Kernels i don't have that issue
I have the same problem with Cm7, CM9 and MIUI and its kernel in the zip file, but I can not find solutions. My touch screen works only with stock rom or with official Ics kernel beta and Ics rom official and hybrid rom. Solutions?

Sure you did flash custom kernel with "fastboot flash boot boot.img"?

HiTaaviu,I flashed the costum kernels included in the zip file CM9, CM7, and I also tried Pwn and NightElf kernel, but the touch screen does not work with MIUI cm7 and CM9, touchscreen only works with the stock rom and MooDeD ICS ROM, JJ's HYBRID ROM, AOSP 4.0.3 ICS, ICS SE Beta official with the official kernel ics of sony.
then the problem is not flash the kernel, because ics official kernel works perfectly and then flash the kernel run correctly. But why with the other kernel touch screen wrong?
I do not know how to do it, I can not find any solution!

Pleas write here steps "how do you install MIUI or cm7-9 rom"
Thanx
Etc..
1.downloaded rom xxx.zip
2. kernel xxx.img
3. wipe?
How installed kernel/rom.
Ok, this is the procedure I follow:
1 -Flash .42 with Flashtool
2-Root
3-Unlock bootloader with fastboot (fastboot.exe-i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xMykey)
4-Install cwm recovery
5-Iput zip file downloaded to sd (ex. update-cm-7.1.0-XperiaNeo-MT15i-signed)
4-I put the kernel included in the zip into the fastboot folder and flash (fastboot flash boot boot.img)
6-I go into recovery and wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache and wipe Dalvik cache
7-Flash zip rom and GAPPS
8-Reboot
9-Phonework but touch screen does not work
I tried with pwn kernel and other but it is the same thing!
The situation that presents itself is equal to this video:
Boot ZTE Blade / Oranage San Francisco (B10) with custom rom with working touch screen(Search in youtube)
I also tried to use the technique in the video but without battery Xperia neo will not turn on.
I do not understand where I'm wrong!
First of all flash .62 ftf by flashtool...then flash the respective custom kernel for the rom...wipe everything and also format everything in cwm ...all custom kernels are pre rooted and cwm recovery ready...now flash the rom and see if it works.

Cm7 cm9 n miui need .64 baseband not .42 so flash the
Baseband of .64 or rather fresh install .62 firmware

I have flashed .64 firmware official, then i have flashed kernel included in the zip file of CM7.1.0.1, then i have format and wipe everything and flashed rom, but Touch doesn't work!!
Same thing with CM9!
I do not know what to invent to make it work!
Then some experienced dev is needed here...they can give some advice.

Is zdunex miui ics working?
It uses stock kernel.
Sent from my MT15i using Tapatalk 2
If I use the stock kernel the touchscreen works perfect, but only with the stock kernel
The problem is still here... I tried Every ROM based on CM9 (since FXP129 to CM9 RC2 Official) or AOSP (Polish Blood 4.04) and don't work... Others ROM based on SE (MIUI etc.) Work flawless... WE NEED SOME DEVS HERE, Please...
please, no one can solve this problem ???
Lemme try.
Flash the latest Stock firmware. Boot it up, and go thru the whole setup process. Stock FTF usually got no probs when it comes to hardware.
Run the phone in Stock for awhile (1-2mins), then shut it off. Go into fastboot mode (press and hold "Menu" button while plugging into PC) and flash the kernel from the LATEST version of the ROM you want to use (FXP146 for CM9.1/CM10, FXP110 or something for CM7.2, MIUI2/MIUI4/MIUI4.1). It is usually in the zip itself or the dev would have recommended a kernel. If you don't know how to flash the kernel, PM me.
Boot up phone into recovery, flash new ROM, flash gapps, reboot phone.
BOOM all should be ok

you can install a stock ROM, then flash chad goodman's stock kernel with beats drivers.
only change he made to it is the audio drivers. it will work with any ROM that is the latest RUU.
check out www.androidfilehost.com and browse to the directory of chad goodman. you will find it under the kernels directory.

You are joking right?
Have you tried this CM9/
Neo
Neo V
Its the OFFICIAL STABLE cyanogenmod for the NEO. It is VERY STABLE and has everything working.
Apart from that, to revert back to stock, just flash a stock kernel (Or any modded kernel for stock) and restore the backup you made before flashing the cm9 rom.

I just added the link for the neo v
Yes, you need stock kernel.(or modded kernel for stock roms)
The kernel for CM will not work with stock rom.
My suggestion is to try the stable cm9 for neo v from my link. If you are still unhappy then download a stock kernel, flash it it fastboot then restore your stock backup in recovery.
Do remember, if you flash stock kernel you will have to install a recovery. Or you can flash the alliance kernel from this thread

Rule number 1
Always backup, just in case you **** up!
Anyway, no problem, there are several options.
Find a stock .ftf in the dev section and flash that in flashtool after you have flashed the stock kernel.
Or, repair phone software using PCCompanion.
This will revert your phone to factory settings (Out of the box).
Or just follow the instructions in any "stock" based custom rom. I recommend Ice cream Pureness. Its a very good stock ICS based rom, fully functional and stable

Get 10.44v008 from here -
http://www.dorimanx.ataliba.net/
I would assume it will work, I have used it with other aosp 4.4.4 roms, but I haven't used neat rom.

I think dorimanx will replace your cwm with its own version(I am on 6.0.4.8), but there is not much difference. You can always flash the newer version if you really need it.
Odin won't see it as it is not a .tar file, just flash it from recovery. It is recommended if you are not re-flashing the rom to use the kernelwipe script from @hawkerpaul to make sure there are no issues from residual files from the old kernel.
I don't know about a custom boot-animation, it may be possible but not something that is a feature of the kernel

No, that would install the stock kernel again. If you have been using the rom as is for a while I would use the kernelwipe script, then just flash the dorimanx kernel from recovery, then just reboot into system. You can flash the kernel without the script but you run the risk of bugs because of left over files from the previous kernel.

WIFI doesn't turn on after restoring to stock kernel

I have been using blu_sp★rk onyx kernel for quite some time and wanted to go back to my stock kernel. So I used Flashify and restore my stock kernel.
The thing is once back to stock kernel, my WIFI doesn't turn on. Any idea how to get it working again? Do I need to re-flash my stock ROM then flash the stock kernel again?
Also, anyone have other suggestion for kernel with good battery performance?
I had the same problem a couple of times, you have to flash all the ota files via twrp or stock recovery
U use f2fs ??if yes tht make ur wifi dosnt turn on bcoz stock kernel dsnt support f2fs

Also, as of right now, blu spark is the only custom kernel available for the OPX. in addition, its only compatible stock rom at the moment.

Thanks for the response guys. Good thing I did backup all the stock rom and kernel via twrp. I'll give it a go during weekends. Still loving the blu spark kernel, re-flashing the ROM doesn't remove all my data right? Also, is that the [X]system for ROM? I know [X]boot is the kernel.. under restore/backup in twrp.
hey guys.
i just flashed blu sparks kernel over Nougat Rom 7.0 on my nexus 5.
i've already did a backup to my stock Rom 6.0.1 via TWRP.
i want to restore to stock,
i'm wondering if i can just restore the backup via TWRP or do i have to Fatsboot system.img?
since i'm familiar with flashing and Doing Commands
