[Help] LG Optimus Exceed 2 (VS450PP) no WiFi after TowelRoot - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
I have an urgent issue, I'm hoping that someone is able to assist with...
The wife's cousin lives in another state and is emailing me freaking out... (so I don't have direct access to the device).
She has a LG Optimus Exceed 2 (VS450PP) that was working perfectly. She just ran TowelRoot on it to root the phone. Upon rebooting, it appears to have root, but WiFi no longer functions... The way it sounds... it is like you can select to enable wifi, but it just sits there and churns and never actually initializes (so, it never attempts to display any wifi networks).
I've tried doing some Google searches and so far I'm coming up empty handed... and I don't see a listing for the device on XDA. Does anyone have any incite on how to fix this issue? or is there a Custom Recovery and/or Custom/Stock ROM that may fix this? ...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im having the same problem with my vs415pp and vs450pp. bump 4 help/reply.

No dedicated thread for verizon exceed 2? I just bought one and want to root.

Is exceed 2 safe to root/towelroot or is it hopeless?

Needing Help
Has this problem been fixed yet? I'm having the same issue except I rooted with Kingroot.. the wifi was fine tho until Titanium Backup crashed during a system app backup.. Would installing a custom Rom fix the issue?

HTC Mogul PPC-6800 NO SERVICE

Hello Everone, I am desperate and I hope that you will be able to help me revive my phone. I know that it is an old phone however it has sentimental value to me and I want to continue to use it. I recently has the screen replaced however, when i turned on the phone the esn hex and dec hex were 00000's i was able to repair those two files, now the problem is that I have no service. I have been trying to get any information on the threads for about 4 days now, no luck at all. I updated custom roms to my surprise i am loving my phone even more. never had an issue except this. Does anyone have an idea on what can be wrong with my phone. it says radio is off and to turn on but it does not activates. wifi works great and data icon is grey cannot modify settings. please help. I greatly appreciate any assistance to this issue I am facing currently.

Can someone troubleshoot my LG Optimus S (CDMA) ROM?

Hey there. I'm quite new to the LG Optimus S (not the Hero, though), and I'm having some troubles getting my ROM I've made to flash. The issue is that I get a "Syntax error" in the update-script... even though it should be working. Can someone see if there is anything wrong with my ROM that's causing that? I've been trying to get it to work for 3 hours now and have exhausted all my solutions.

[Q] Radio - Signal Problems after Custom Rom

Hello,
I'm looking for some help with my son's sgh-i757m phone. I'll try layout my history on the phone and question in some hopefully easy layout.
What I did
at my son's request, I changed the stock rom on my son's sgh-i757m (Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE) for him. He wanted to be able to install apps and customize his phone as he wished. i installed the paranoid android rom for him successfully.
Problem
Once installed he began losing cell phone network connection. This progressively got worse and now it barely works.
My troubleshooting
I tried installing other custom rom's to see if this would resolve the problem. Nothing seems to work. The present rom I have which is Dadoes. This one seems to work the best BUT i only get signal within 1 block of the cell phone tower. (oh ya... i live in a small town where we only have two cell towers in the valley here.)
I tried researching terminal commands to boost the radio signal but I haven't found anything for the sgh-i757m.
I've also done the *#*#4636#*#* trick... nothing... i've installed network boosters but those don't do anything.
What Haven't I done
I haven't tried to install a different radio rom... (maybe I did, but in my research there isn't an explanation if this is different from the OS rom).
I haven't tested whether it is a hardware issue as I don't know how
What I am asking
Can I get help regarding radio roms; is this different from OS rom's? if it is different... where do I find them and more information on this?
Can I get help on steps to test my hardware to see if this is the issue?
Any pointers if I am missing anything?
Thank you... oh and this is my first post.
I'm out of lurking and posting now.
Respectfully,
KrustyQ-tip

HI buddy , welcome to our section .
Now your problem, did you tried to reflash the stock ROM back after you saw that your phone is having problems to see if the problem is solving?
I did took a search on this forum and I found this thread :

Fixed - sgh-i757m connection problem
Well... thank you for your reply. I didn't have a backup of my son's original rom but my daughter just broke her phone and it was exactly the same. So, I thought I would back her's up then put it on my son's. What she did was break her screen. So, I thought I could swap screens or parts to make this work. I was able to take my daughters apart and was able to take my son's apart. In taking apart my son's phone, I found that the attenae cable wasn't attached to it's connector. So I plugged that in then tested and voila! It works!! pheew!! Was getting worried that I was losing my mind (maybe I did?).
Thank you for your help. I did do the custom roots and roms. Now my son can choose which one he wants!
Respects,

S5 The Galaxy Project Issues

Before going into detail, I feel the need to say that I am a complete noob but I can understand most technical procedures. That being said..
I had a S5 from Metro PCS (SM-G900T1). I attempted to root this thing and couldn't successfully do it so I flashed the latest firmware for T-Mobile. My phone is now SM-G900T. Within both these points, I still didn't experience any issues.
When I successfully rooted my phone, I installed the latest ROM version of The Galaxy Project. Since then, I've been experiencing 3 issues.
1.) My 4G and LTE have been switched to H, H+ and 4G. I can't switch it back by restarting my phone, changing VPNs and changing connection types. More importantly, I don't know if my service has been downgraded. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
2.) My phone keeps sending random service reports. There's no way for me to check out why as they happen really quickly. Is there a way to disable this or at least check out the reason why?
3.) lastly, this is a minor issue and I don't care much for it but I can't access my themes without my phone saying that TouchWiz has crashed. Nothing happens after this and my phone is fully usable but I'd still like to explore everything since this is my first custom ROM.. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
Edit 1: It appears that the H+ and 4G are equivalent to LTE speeds but slightly slower. I have tried to coax the changsetting by tweaking the build settings but no luck. Also a new issue has become a problem for me.
After a while of no use or after charging, the screen becomes unresponsive. The power button works but I cannot restart/turn off my phone and it requires me to pull the battery every time.
Try another ROM to see if the problem goes away. I suggest you give this a try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/rom-popwiz-telstra-note-5-port-v3-0-t3265997

WiFi & Bluetooth "Connection Not Allowed" - AT&T LG G H820

So I have completely given up on my LG G5 for 5 months and today I decided to see if maybe I could get it updated to Nougat to see if it would fix the battery drain I was having. I couldn't get that far. Now the WiFi and Bluetooth say Connection not allowed and I can't connect to my home wifi of course. Well I decided to check the MAC Address to see whats going on. My current MAC Address is 02:00:00:00:00:00. Something doesn't seem right about that.
My ideas that I have done:
4 Factory Resets
3 Airplane Mode Reboots
2 Safe Mode Attempts
1 Clearing of Cache
At this point I dont know what else to do. I really miss Android and I am currently using an iPhone 6S. I just want to get back to the roots where I belong on the Dark Side. Please someone help me with this issue, I even contacted LG support and they told me they can't do much about it. Same with AT&T they aren't helpful over the situation. This seems to be an issue a few people have had but I think it's time to get this issue fixed.
Please help I posted this on the AT&T LG G5 thread and no one has reply in over two weeks.

Try taking the Sim card tray out and booting into Android and see if your correct wifi Mac address shows up or not. I know on my t mobile h830 that had happened that my Mac address would show same as yours unless I had Sim card tray out. If it works, try doing factory reset with it out and booting into Android and all then put Sim card in and see if it sticks. Otherwise not really sure.

If nothing is working, I'd say it's a hardware issue with the Bluetooth / wifi card and you'll end up needing to send it in for service then.
Hi...did you ever figure out what was wrong with your LG? I'm having the same issue with Bluetooth on my rooted LG G3, it's saying 'Connection not allowed'.... Tried everything to fix it short of bouncing it against a wall. Can you help?
My Phoenix 4 (LM-X210APM) has this problem. I got it from my friend's dad and it always had this issue.
