[Q] Sleep track on GF = AirplaneMode on Phone ? - Samsung Gear Fit

I think it's good idea
Link "Sleep track" on Gear fit to switch On AirplaneMode on Phone
Any solution for this ?
Better way - have Tasker plugin with Status "GearFit SleepTrack"

Tasker profiles

I know this thread is repeated everywhere, but I thought I'd start it up for our GNote forums
What are your Tasker profiles? I just found out how to use Tasker yesterday and I find myself loving it.
Mine are as follows:
1) Incoming Calls - Decrease volume to second lowest setting (I have loud friends)
2) Turn wifi on at home automatically
3) Open PowerAmp when headphones are plugged in
4) Send a "Happy Birthday!" text to various people on their birthdays.
5) Alert me when battery is full to 100%. Really useful if you don't want to overcharge your battery.
What about you guys?
Mute at work locations
Pandora + Bluetooth in car
Wifi at home
100% Battery alert
Auto-off unpaired Bluetooth
Regulated auto-sync based on battery
Long-press search changed to notification drawer open
Screen timeout change for various apps
Data off and screen timeout change for ad-supported games
I posted a couple just recently in this thread...

Here's a C&P for the lazy....
______________________________________________
Car Profile
Enter Task
1) Disable PIN Security so I don't need to unlock my phone while in the car (one less distraction)
2) Set Media Volume to 15
3) Turn Wifi off
4) Change Display timeout to 30 minutes (nice for google maps and viewing the album art of the streaming music)
5) Turn on GPS IF power is connected to phone
6) Start recording video with DailyRoads Voyager ( A car DVR program in case of an accident so you then have Objective evidence)
7) Play the THX sound after a couple seconds to make sure the Bluetooth audio streaming is working right
Car EXIT task
1) Stop Recording Video for DailyRoads Voyager (DRV)
2) Wait 5 seconds
3) Kill App - DRV
4) Perform Task - PIN ON
5) Secure Settings - Disable GPS
6) Display Timeout - 2 min
7) WiFi - Turn ON
8) Bluetooth - Off
9) Display Brightness - Set to 150 out of 255
Other fun stuff
Home VAR %STATUS_HOME
Set VAR for when I am near my home micro-cell as the signal radius is small and specific to my house. I use this since the phone part is always on and I don't need to use GPS to determine location which uses more juice. That VAR is then used to turn on wifi when I arrive at home, disable PIN again, Flash "Welcome home", set WiFi sleep to Never. The Exit task for when I leave home turns PIN ON and sets the WiFi sleep policy to Never While Plugged"
Power VAR %STATUS_POWER
I have 2 seperate profiles for when I am connected to AC or USB power. The AC one sets the power VAR to 2 while the USB one sets it to 1. Both are used for other tasks and profiles, like the car one above requires AC connection so my GPS doesn't drain my battery even while connected. I have it flash "AC connected" or "USB connected" to let me know if the phone is receiving the correct amount of juice. When both of them exit they set the Power VAR to 0 and flash "Power Disconnected"
Sleepy Time
Profile conditions
1) Time - From 00:01 to 06:30
2) State - Home VAR = 1 (so this doesn't happen when I am out and about somewhere at night)
Enter Task - In case I'm tinkering with the phone in bed and don't want to keep the wifey up with a blazing screen and vibrations when clicking buttons. Also prevents annoying sounds at night by disabling data sync and muting all but the Alarm audio.
1) AutoSync -OFF
2) Flash "Good night"
3) Display brightness at 0
4) Screen Filter set to 25%
5) Perform Task - Alarm Audio only
Alarm Audio only task above
1) Alarm Volume - 4
2) Flash "Alarm Audio Only"
3) Haptic Feedback - Off
4) Notification Volume - 0
5) Ringer volume - 0
6) System volume - 0
7) Media volume - 0
Exit Task
1) AutoSync - On
2) Display Brightness - 255
3) Screen Filter - 100%
Quick Stats - This has two parts. One is the Notification that tells me a bunch of info I like to know like Battery level, Screen timeout, screen brightness and CPU govenor. The second part is launching a menu whe nI click on the the notification that has the commonly used Screen brightness & timeouts I use. I need to add some audio options in there too. I re-discovered that menu was there the entire time and didn't see the + button add more items to the menu. Iwas over complicating it by trying to use Scenes as a pop-up menu. Still need to learn more about Scenes.
Part 1 - Quick Stats Notification
State - Orientation Face Up (I use this state so if I want to refresh the stats all I do put the phone face up. There is automatically a time stamp so I can know when the stats were last updated)
Task - Notify Quick Stats
1) Notify - with Battery level, Screen timeout, screen brightness and CPU govenor variables as the text.
Part 2 - Notification Bar Tool
Event - Notification Click
Task - Quick Stats Menu
1) Menu with options for display brightness at 0, 100 or 255. Display timeout options for 30 secs, 2 min, 10 min and 30 min
Remote PIN Disable - This is for in case I forget my pin this will disable the PIN likew used in the Car and Home profiles. It is triggered by receiving a text from certain people with a specific phrase.
Event - Text with specific phrase under Content
Task - PIN OFF
Where Are You - Here's a 3 part setup. If I can't find my phone I again send a text with a specific phrase that then cranks up all volume settings to MAX and repeat "The Most Annoying Sound in the world" by Jim Carrey from Dumb & Dumber. The text sets a VAR called %SHUTUP to 1. When %SHUTUP = 1 it triggers Part 2. Once I find the phone to set the VAR back to 0 I shake the phone.
Part 1 - Where Are You Status
Event - Received Text with specific phrase
Task - Variable Set - %SHUTUP = 1
Part 2 - Where Are You Status
State - Variable Value = 1
Task - Where Are You Audio
1) Perform Task - Crank It Up (sets all volumes to MAX)
2) Flash - "I'm over here!"
3) Music Play - Annoy.wav
4) Wait - 15 sec
5) Goto - Top of Loop IF %SHUTUP = 1
Part 3 -Shutup Shake
Event - Shake
Task
1) Variable Set - %SHUTUP = 0
2) Flash "SHUT UP!!!"
A couple more but they are straight from the Tasker Wiki
I'm definitely going to have to do those. Right now, all I understand is the basics of Tasker (no where near Variables) but I'll follow your instructions.
Thanks especially for "Where are you"
A few I use....
1). Pocket Lock - Detects when phone is upside down in my pocket and activates WidgetLocker.
2). Read Caller Aloud - Incoming caller name said aloud so I can decide whether I want to answer without looking at my phone.
3). Night Mode - From 00:00 to 06:00 Puts phone into silent mode, plus checks whether Wifi, Data, GPS, or Blutooth are on, and turns them off if they are.
4). Battery Low - When battery gets to 15%, and it's not connected to a charger, Says "Battery low, connect charger" and turns off Wifi, BT, Data, GPS.
5). Music Player - When headset is plugged in, loads music app.
6). Home - Gets general location from cell tower, activates Wifi, disables Data & GPS. Exit Task disables Wifi, and enables Data.
7). Work - Gets general location from cell tower, disables Wifi, Data, GPS, BT, and Auto Replies to sms that im working and will reply when i can.
I'm pretty new to tasker, but have been pretty bored lately and have been working on an addition to my Work profile.
This profile will, use variables to save up to 5 peoples numbers and how many times each has txted me, and txt each of them back, using their names from my contact list in the body of each txt.
So lets say BOB txts me once, his number will be added as a variable, and it will begin counting the txts from him. On the first txt he is send a txt saying, something like. "Sorry BOB, im at work, will reply when i can".
Then DAVE txts, he will be assigned to Sender2, and have a txt sent to him like above, with the second Counter and Number (%CNTR2 and %SNDR2).
BOB, realizing it's an auto-reply, decides to be funny and spam txt me, thinking he will get a reply every time. However, tasker counts his incoming txts, (%CNTR1) and when it reaches a value of 10, send just one more txt saying something like (Thats 10 txts you've sent, seems Im still unavailable).
Profile: Auto Reply
Variables:
%SNDR1 <---- BOBs cell number
%SNDR2 <---- DAVEs cell number
%SNDR3
%SNDR4
%SNDR5
%CNTR1 <---- BOBs txt counter
%CNTR2
%CNTR3
%CNTR4
%CNTR5
%TXTVAR <---- Counter determining whether a txt received is from someone new or a number already saved.
Enter Task:
Code:
1). GoTo label Sender1 if %SMSRF ~ %SNDR1
2). GoTo label Sender2 if %SMSRF ~ %SNDR2
3). " " etc.
4).......
5).....
6). If (%SNDR1 ~ 0) then SetVariable %SNDR1 to %SMSRF
7). If (%SNDR2 ~ 0) and (%TXTVAR = 1) then SetVariable %SNDR2 to %SMSRF
8). If (%SNDR3 ~ 0) and (%TXTVAR = 2) then SetVariable %SNDR3 to %SMSRF
9)........etc.
10).
11). If (%SMSRF ~ %SNDR1) <-------- Label Sender1
Variable Add (%CNTR1 + 1)
If (%CNTR1 = 1)
Send SMS (Tells this person eg. BOB I'm at work)
Variable Add (%TXTVAR + 1)
Else If (%CNTR1 = 10)
Send SMS to %SNDR1 (Thats 10 txts you've sent me)
Endif x2
12). If (%SMSRF ~ %SNDR2) <-------- Label Sender2
Variable Add (%CNTR2 + 1)
If (%CNTR2 = 1)
Send SMS (Tells this person eg. DAVE I'm at work)
Variable Add (%TXTVAR + 1)
Else If (%CNTR2 = 10)
Send SMS to %SNDR2 (Thats 10 txts you've sent me)
Endif x2
13). If (%SMSRF ~ %SNDR3) <-------- Label Sender3
Variable Add (%CNTR3 + 1)
If (%CNTR3 = 1)
Send SMS (Tells this person eg. EMILY I'm at work)
Variable Add (%TXTVAR + 1)
Else If (%CNTR3 = 10)
Send SMS to %SNDR3 (Thats 10 txts you've sent me)
Endif x2
14). ......Etc.
15). ......
I'm still working on it, deciding whether to have the variables reset as they are all filled, 1 at a time, or to make them reset every hour or so. Also whether to make another profile purely for resetting those variables, or add them to this task. Bearing in mind that on my phone it gets rather annoying to manage/edit the task since its currently at 78 lines long.
As I said I was bored.
If anyone is interested in this I can post a backup xml of this somewhere.

Bored indeed. Anywho, look into arrays in Tasker, that'll make this tracking stuff much easier. Track all of that stuff in one array vs a bunch of different ones. Might clean up the code a little, make it easier to erm.. relieve more boredom?

[Q&A] iGO Primo in background?

Hi there,
Is there a way to run iGO Primo in the background with screen off?
I want to be able to lock the screen, put the phone in my pocket and just listen to the vocal instructions. At the moment iGO gets suspended after ~ 1 hour. When I unlock the phone and click the iGO icon in the notifications page, it restarts.
I tried some settings in [power] section of the sys.ini but with no luck. I also tried an app to keep the GPS module alive, nog (although I think iGO should have complained about 'gps sigmal lost').
Any clues, please?
Thank you
Problem solved.
It was the deep sleep mode that was choking iGO after a while.
Not for all...
Not so fast... In devices such 2din "pure" android, when the iGO goes to background (eg. by pressing the home button or at BT phone call), then you'll listen: "GPS signal lost..."
And "bye bye" speedcam alerts...
Any clue?
not bye bye ......

[Tasker] "Tasface": Flick-your-wrist shows watchface!

As many of you may know, for newer version of TS (at least for 4th List, May version devices), it's NOT possible to flick your wrist to show watch face since the Accelerator is DISABLED whenever screen is OFF!!!
What an oversight! A smart watch needs you to push a button to see time? What if when you are driving or have both hand full and cannot spare even a finger!?
(My Pebble, on the contrast, works great here!)
I tried to force the screen always on with watch face, it's great, except it kills my battery in around 6 hrs (airplane mode!) Not acceptable!
Thus, Here comes "Tasface". With this, you could achieve:
1. Let TS shows you time WHENEVER you LOOK at the watch! (well, actually when the watch is face up) or when you flick your wrist (You can modify this!)
2. Reduce using your button (if you have an Shortcut supported launcher like Smart Launcher 2)
DISCLAIMER: I will not be responsible if Tasface broke/brick your TS in anyway! Since Tasface is only a set of Tasker profiles/Tasks you can read everything before decide go or not! Tasface DO mess around with system files!
Pre-requests:
===============
1. Your TS must be ROOTED!
2. You need to know Tasker basics! (It's not THAT difficult to use Tasker...)
3. Tasker (Obviously)
4. Watchface by Kurt Huwig (I didn't test other watchface app. May not work with stock lock watchface) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.huwig.watchfaces
5. Secure Settings (Required) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.intangibleobject.securesettings.plugin
6. Smart Launcher 2 (Optional, any Launchers supports Shortcut will work. With this you can activate Watch face without using button!) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ginlemon.flowerfree
Set-up
========
1. Have Tasker (required), Watchface (required), Secure Setting (don't forget to install system helper) and Smart Launcher 2 (Optional) installed. DO NOT IMPORT "Tasface" yet!
2. Disable your stock lock watchface: Go to Setting/Personal & Account/Security/Screen lock/None (<-- This IS IMPORTANT)
3. Launch Watchface by Kurt Huwig, than double tap on any watchface to enter setup
  a. check "Keep screen on"
  b. Select desired watchface from "Lockscreen face"
  c. Recommended to disable all other options
4. Check if the Watchface work or not by turn off than turn on your TS by press the upper physical button. You should see the Watchface you selected shows up when screen on. Swipe to return to your launcher and launch Tasker.
5. Unrar and import Tasface into Tasker
6. Close Tasker
7. Turn off --> Turn on your TS with the upper button
8. Profit!
Notes
=======
1. When watchface is displayed:
  a. Touch screen is DISABLED to avoid accidental touch.
  b. Screen will be OFF after 8 seconds (you can setup your prefer time)
  c. Touch screen lock is achieved by putting a transparent Tasker Scene element on top of the Watchface. A small "X" on bottom right screen is used to reactivate the touch screen. You can also push the lower right button (back) to reactive your touch screen.
2. To show watchface (after automatic screen off as Step 1)
  a. Just face the watchface up. The watchface should appear for another 8 seconds
  b. There maybe a 1~2 second delay. This is due to Tasker not detecting the Watchface up event. I cannot do anything about this....
  c. You could change the watchface up to anything else, like "Sensor shake/Backware-Forward"
3. If you have "Smart Launcher 2" or any other launcher supports Shortcut, you can set a icon to task "Lock". With this TS will activate watchface WITHOUT touch physical button. (I heard horrible stories about broken button so want to avoid use them as much as possible!) It's normal the screen will off for 2 second than back on with watchface for 8 seconds!
4. You must wait for automatic screen off or use the "Lock" shortcut to turn off the screen! Tasface will NOT work if you turn off TS by pressing the upper right physical button. This DISABLE the accelerator as mentioned above. To reactive Tasface, just turn on TS by pressing the upper right physical button to show the watchface than wait for automatic screen off.
I wrote this primarily for myself so a there are a lot of bugs. You are free to modify it and make it better. Just let me know if you have any questions and need help or improvement here!
Thanks button is just a click away if I helped you!
Update the attached file to resolve some bugs and improve responseness
Technical stuff -- What is done here?
=================================
It's a bit technical here .... No need to read if you don't care how it works!
Since TS turns off the accelerator whenever screen off, so it's not possible to activate the screen once it's off by external conditions. (You can still set a timer to wake the screen, but it's meaningless)
Thus we need to disable the power hungry backlight while keep the screen on!
I found out that it's possible to control the backlight by doing
Code:
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness
Thus, I set up a Task profile which fires whenever Watchface is activated and TS is face up, to activate the backlight then turn off the backlight again after 8 seconds, but KEEP the TS screen wake! (Only backlight is turned off to save battery!)
Code:
echo 1 > /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness
You can change "1" to anything from 1~255. I just found 1 bright enough for me
Since screen/system is always wake, to avoid accidental touch, a transparent Tasker Scene on top of the screen is add to disable the touch screen. A small "X" is on the bottom right to disable this transparent scene if anything goes wrong. (And it does, Tasker is laggy sometimes and too slow to remove this scene automatically!)
I also lower down the CPU cycle to the lowest possible to further saving battery. CPU returns to normal frequency when leaving watch face (into launcher, etc...)
That's all! Folks!

Shake
I was able to use application Shake from ADL Dev (com.adl.appshaker) to switch screen on with shake/twist of wrist. You just have to enable "activate when screen off" option - and it is little battery hungry.
Of course I have version 20140513.
I also strongly suspect, that you can force sensors to work when face is off, by switching into "Sports mode" (Run Settings->SMART MODE->Sports Mode)

Thanks for the advice.... I just think since I already have Tasker on my TS, I want to find a way to not to use additional SW which always runs in background to monitor things... Since its battery hungry, maybe Shake also use the same trick as me......
As for Smart mode settings, I tried bdefore but none of them work for flick wrist to wake up... Maybe I missed something?
Sent from my HTC_One_max using XDA Premium HD app
might give this a shot since shake was waking up watch at wrong times and was destroying battery life, and i already have tasker on the watch and running so hopefully that will avoid the battery loss that shake had.

I was just guessing, because it suppose to leave GPS and accelerometer working with screen off, to enable sport trackers and pedometers.
If it works? - I haven't tested yet...

Wow! It seems you are right! The watch DOES allow sensor to work on Sport mode after screen off, but the response from Tasker become very sluggish when screen-off!
I made a simple profile to detect shake action (if shake than beep), and when screen on, the watch beep in less than one second after shake began, but when screen-off (sport mode), It took Takers 5~6 seconds of continuous shaking to detect the shake event. Not very practical for a watch solution...
With my Backlight solution, although sometimes still hiccup happens, but my feeling is about 90% of time the watchface wakeup correctly...

Do you mean the Tasker cannot see the prj file?
For how to import project, you could check http://tasker.dinglisch.net/userguide/en/faqs/faq-how.html#q
and you need to put the unrared file (.xml) in /sdcard/tasker/projects for Tasker to see it...
How much does this cost in battery? If I don't use my watch I can get about 4 days out of it.... I know Shake stops the TS going into deep sleep, won't this do the same and annihilate battery??

Don't know for tasker but I'm using shake app from market and I even I thought it'll drain my battery very fast - it didn't...
It's almost like I don't have it...
My battery can't hold on more then 24hours but I really use my watch and it's constantly connected to wifi and BT.

Well as I have Z1, which is quite big, I'm using TS mainly to receive notifications (using swapplink).
I'm receiving many emails (I'm using Z1 as my business phone) so it's great that I can see on my TS subject of email and decide what will I do.
I have sim card in TS and I use it all the time, when I'm alone in a car (and that's 6 hours per day )
I found TS quite practical for companion
BTW...from today, I'm using this app to help me save my battery power on TS and Z1

I tried this and Tasker can't see the xml on my TS
Here's a workaround for those having issues seeing the xml file in Tasker
Using a file manager, navigate to the location of the xml file
"Open with.." and choose Tasker
You will then see a toast notificaiton saying "...can be opened in Tasker" (or something like that)
Open Tasker -> Preferences -> UI -> Untick "Beginner Mode"
Back to main Tasker screen
In the HOME icon (bottom left) -> Long press, and choose "Import", then look for the XML file, wherever you put it
Boom
Note: Make sure you have the correct app from the Play Store, and not from the Ostore (same app, different names)

I am afraid that this will have an impact your battery. Basically to make TS responsive (light up as soon as you raise your hand), the screen/CPU is kept wake. Only LED backlight is disabled.
Although in my implement I put the CPU is slowest frequency and sleep Governor, but battery is around one day usage without radio on....
We need kernel tweak of this to achieve good battery life... Tasker is only... Tasker...

Hi do read the solution I provided

Phone not going into Deep Sleep with SmartBand

My Z2 isn't going into deep sleep while connected with the SmartBand. Greenify says that Smart Connect and org.codeaurora.bluetooth is running in the background, and i've confirmed with Wakelock Detector and BBS that it's not going into deep sleep with the SmartBand connected.
I tried uninstalling Smart connect and Smartband apps, as well as lifelog, and then sleeping the phone worked and I had no problems. I don't really want to give up the SmartBand, so is there anything I can do? I don't want to greenify the apps because I want the notifications..
You can always go into the smartband settings: I think it is edit settings and disable the motion setting and leave the notification setting checked. I hope this helps m8:good:

Daydreaming screensaver

Hello Everyone,
I've just purchased P30 pro and even I'm impressed with the speed and the overall battery life I still need a get used to "use it" with one hand
What I was suprprised is I'm missing the setting of screensaver. There is no such option in Settings -> display. When I install 3rd party screensaver such a "Lucid - DayDream Screensaver" and lunch it I was able to go the given settings (wtf) ?
Unfortunatelly there is no option to set other screensaver than photo. Therefore I followed https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...ver-on-huawei-and-honor-devices-running-emui/. I manage to set Google clock as daydream screensaver while charging. Unfortunatelly the clock aren't moving. It is just displaying the time I start charging my phone.
Any advices?
Thx
Y
c'mon .. don't tell me I'm only one facing such issue .
