[Q] Deleted Android OS from Xperia P - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was flashing a custom rom using TWRP recovery but couldn't as the zip file was corrupted but then my brother accidentally deleted all of the data from the phone. Now the pc won't detect my phone instead the USB cable works as a wall charger only which means that I can't flash anything now. Can please someone help as to how to put a new rom onto the phone storage. Currently the phone just starts up and hangs on the SONY logo as there is no OS installed. Thanks in advance.

Android 2.2 (HTC Froyo) detected by USB as a CD drive

Hi,
I tried to update my Sony ericsson xperia x8 which was running Android 2.1 to Android 2.2 (by rooting and all).
I installed HTC Froyo android 2.2 and since then the phone is stuck in airplane mode. I tried all methods to remove it from airplane mode but futile. I am not able to make even any calls from the phone now.
Moreover, when I connect it using USB cable, it is detected as a CD drive and when I try to open it, says please insert a disk to the drive. I am caught up with this problem.
Any help that I can detect my phone and somehow access the sd card? I have the back up of my old phone data and want to somehow install it. Please help!

Just boot into ClockworkMod recovery (or whichever custom recovery you have) and restore the backup.

[Q] Xperia P hard bricked

Hi everyone,
unfortunately I made a juge mistake and I hope you can help me.
Recently I had this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2508319 but due to bluetooth not working I wanted to change it. So I picked this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422819. I downloaded it erased previous zip copied the new one. But I forgot to flash stock rom i flashed Honami over Nightly. And now I got bootloop over Sony logo. I wanted to flash stock rom but I can't get into flashmode. Only thing I can do is getting into recovery but the only zip i have on ma sd is Honami.
When trying to enter fastmode or flashmode my pc can't regognize the device.
Sry for my english and I hope someone can help me out with my problem.
@pitermac
Turn the phone off with power + volume up untill you feel 1 + 3 or 3 vibreations, then flash.
Try to full power off and leave it for 5 minutes like ChikeD said.
If that doesn't work use another pc or try to install drivers again.
Don't you have a previous nandroid backup?
I'm not sure but I think you can use adb or mount use storage via otg cable in cwm.
Finally if all fails (proceed with caution and let someone confirm it) fastboot nemesis kernel, preform wipes mount, data etc whatever is required and then flash the rom.
Sent from my LT22i using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Thanks for suggestions. Finally managed to do it. Had to use another pc cause something happened and my drivers were corrupted.

Phone not recognised after cwm and stuck on boot screen

Dear friends,
I have this problem: I got a brand new TCL S720 and the Google Play did not work, being a known rom issue. So, before doing anything, I've managed to make a backup of it's original rom with MTK Droid tools whichI supose it did it well. Then I've tried to install a CWM recovery to try a custom rom for it. The CWM recovery seemed to install succesfully but I didn't manage to install the new rom. If I remember well, it stucked on boot logo. Then tried to revert at it's original stock recovery, managed to have the phone back as it was in initial state, but doing more tries, It remained stucked on boot logo. The problem is that my computer doesn't recognise it anymore, when I connect it to USB it tries to install MTP usb driver but even before the driver was installed well, now it refuse to install, like the driver is not good or the proper driver doesn't exist. So the only thing I can do is to boot on stock recovery but even I tried to copy the original rom as update.zip on external SD and to flash the phone using install update from sd card in recovery mode, It doesn't find the external sd card. So I'm stuck here, the computer doesn't detect the phone to try flashing it with SP flash tool or MTK Droid tool, and I also can't flash it from sd card. Have you any idea how to make it work again?
Thanks in advance.

Lenovo A916- usb working only when plugged during phone reboot

Hello all!
I'm new there but I'm not capable of finding any solution to my problem. I tried on my phone customRom named MysitcOS v6 (for Xaomi redmi note) ported to my device. I got only booting phone without IMEI and baseband unknown. Flashing NVRAM.bin (from stock) using flash tool didnt help. On this rom usb is working fine. When I flashed whole stock rom using sp flash tool including nvram. Almost everything is working well. When I plug usb to phone it charges only and in device manager there are no changes. I must reboot phone wuth usb plugged every time I want establish usb connection. When I flash back Mystic os from recovery USB is working fine again and after every stock rom flash usb doesnt work well. Do you ave any ideas why this happens and maybe how to get rid of this problem? Thanks in advance.

[RESOLVED] My rooted J6 was fine, until I updated Magisk and now got bootloop...

I had a J6, just rooted months ago. Everything was fine, I got it rooted successfully, and today I just updated Magisk this afternoon and restart it. And it got bootloop.
I don't know what to do so I wipe data and cache partition. It didn't help
My phone can't connect to my laptop, Odin didn't detect my phone, Installing Samsung USB Drivers didn't help
My phone could only go to recovery mode and go to Downloading mode
Can anyone help me plz?

To reflash the stock ROM we need Odin to detect my phone to flash. It didn't detect anything (despite already have Samsung USB Driver). I was stupid not installing TWRP before rooting my phone. What should I do now?
[SOLVED]: IT WAS THE CABLE PROBLEM
It turns out that the problem all along was the cable. I had 2 Micro USB cables and none of them connect the phone to computer, only in charge mode
So I borrowed my mom's Xiaomi cable and it worked perfectly. Just connect to computer, open Odin and flash the stock ROM back.
After this incident I don't feel like I want to root phone. It was good but it seems to me that Magisk has a lot of problems right now... Or probably just me
